“WOW!!!! Absolutely phenomenal! I’ve been wanting some good Japanese food and stumbled upon this in my search. I got the chicken curry udon and spicy garlic edamame. Unreal! The edamame is probably the best edamame I’ve ever had, so flavorful! The chicken curry udon was a perfect combination of everything I wanted! The chicken was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the curry. The udon noodles were perfectly cooked as well. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Also not to mention the service was fantastic and very quick. 100/10 stars!“

“Another good sushi place in Vegas. Chinatown that is not all you can eat. They have great selection of sushi and sashimi - good quality of fish. They also had some Japanese pasta dish - the uni pasta is pretty good.

They have good cocktails and Japanese beer selection.

“This was my 2nd time at mizumi and again it did not disappoint. The otoro nigiri was expensive but worth it. I had several rolls after that and all were exceptional, one of them had gold flakes on it. I’ve never been to japan, but mizumi makes me feel like I’m at a very authentic high end sushi restaurant in japan. This is not your typical american style sushi restaurant. Almost all of them add all kinds of fillers to the specialty rolls to make them taste great, but don’t really resemble quality sushi. Mizumi is more pure, and focuses more on superior quality fish. Well worth the higher prices. If you are a purist, and you want and are willing to pay for top quality sushi, make sure you go to mizumi while visiting vegas. Also the service was great, the napkins were a high thread count, atmosphere is very nice, and the attention to detail is near flawless. This will be a regular stop when i visit vegas“

“Stopped by here for lunch during my Vegas stay. Despite being a rather old building in a run down area, it was a very pleasant experience throughout. It was quiet throughout the restaurant and was filled with classic Japanese decor, including some tatami rooms whenever available. I had the nigiri/roll lunch combo with some NA beer and warabimochi. The sushi tasted fresh and the mochi was a nice way to finish the meal. Koko was a very nice server who was ready to help whenever needed! Yama Sushi on Spring Mountain is not just a sushi restaurant - it’s a core memory. This was my first sushi spot when I moved to Vegas over 10 years ago, and since then, it’s been the site of raucous birthday parties, flirtatious dinner dates, and probably 50 pounds of salmon nigiri personally devoured. “This is a surprisingly solid and good Asian restaurant, especially for a Boyd property (they aren't known for having great food options, but this is by far the best restaurant on site at the Orleans hotel and casino).

The prices are more than reasonable and the portions are extra large. They have Japanese and Chinese dishes, both traditional and modern fusion. You can find sushi, noodles, rice, all the greatest hits.

Service is fast and the food is always tasty, especially for the price and the big portions. They're also open late and located right off the casino floor, making it easy for gamblers and guests at the hotel. Luckily, it's not smoky!“

“I am sharing my experience after having ordered from Doanburi three times, but wishing I have ordered more often!

The Owner: Doanburi is run by Chef Jae Doan. Each time I’ve picked up my order, the chef herself brought it to the counter and thanked me personally. Chef Jae is a former chef from Las Vegas’ finest Japanese restaurants including Mizumi and Morimoto. In a mostly male dominated business, Chef Jae’s culinary accomplishments stood out enough to become one of the first female sushi chefs on the strip.

The Business: Doanburi is a cloud kitchen format, which is an efficient way for restaurants to offer their food in our busy world. You place your order for pick up or delivery from a third party. I am lucky enough to live 1 mile from Doanburi, so I always pick up the order myself.

The Food: If I had to use one word it would be INCREDIBLE! Eating here will ruin your expectations of any other sushi restaurant. The quality of each individual ingredient is exceptional! The ginger appears hand-sliced. The wasabi root is REAL wasabi ground with a fine grater. Even the soy sauce is decidedly better than what you might pick up at the grocery store. To match the excellent quality of food, the presentation is remarkable. Black napkins, durable paper bags with handles, and banana leaves underneath the sushi roll. The portions are perfect. There is no extra rice wrapped up in the sushi like you find at lower quality restaurants. Just the perfect amount to compliment the fish and other ingredients.

You can’t go wrong ordering anything here. But in particular you must try the Crispy Rice Spicy Salmon. The Sea Salt Caramel Flan is a wonderful desert to add on to your order as well. If you’ve made it this far, just go ahead and give Doanburi a try because it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve had many sushi experiences in Las Vegas, but this is the only one worth leaving a review for!

“Celebrated my sons 20th birthday here and Zuma didn’t disappoint. Located on the 3rd floor of Boulevard tower at Cosmopolitan Hotel. We had the chefs tasting menu, every dish was amazing, well presented and filling, probably one course too many. Service was great and a lively atmosphere, the place was full through the night to closing time. It is pricey, but highly recommend going if you like sushi and a fancy night out.“

Billy was our server and he was great—offering helpful explanations and recommendations based on what we like and what they had on special and explaining terms and ingredients that were weren’t familiar with. He was attentive without being pushy or without interrupting the flow of our conversation and meal. The food quality and presentation was fantastic and everything came out quickly. It was helpful that we were in during off-peak dinner hours on a Tuesday night.“

Will we have a better meal this week? I know that our other meals will cost a lot more, but I’m not sure they can be this good. Amazing chicken katsu curry. The chicken breading was so fluffy. Rice perfect, soba noodles and pickles. Unbelievable. $87 including two semi-expensive small bottles of sake.

I found this place on a “best off the strip restaurants” and this was a tremendous winner!
