“I went to this place to pick up breakfast for two. The place was very clean and bright and the staff was very attentive. I’m trying to diet so I got a poached egg on toast and it was great. “Absolutely wonderful experience! I took 12 employees out to celebrate the holiday season and see a show in Albany. From the time we called for a reservation, right through dinner, the entire staff, and especially our server Casey were so welcoming and accommodating. The drinks, food, and service were all superb! Casey made us feel like we were the only thing that mattered in the restaurant, while the kitchen and bar handled some special requests with ease! In a world where the meaning of hospitality seems to have been forgotten by so many, this restaurant still knows what it means, and executes flawlessly. I highly recommend, and will definitely be back when in the Albany area. (I may even have to make a special trip back just for this restaurant!)“

“We stumbled on the place by chance and were not disappointed. The bartender, Jill was very friendly. Our meals were full of flavor. My husband got the chicken parm and I the barramundi. Finished by a tiramisu martini with a side of tiramisu. Sooooo good. We will definitely go back! Oh! The fresh bread and olive oil topped with tapenade was delish as well!“

I hadn’t been in awhile- used to go frequently, so I grabbed a to-go order of their excellent fettuccini bolognese and some bruschetta to take home after a very long drive- ❤️❤️❤️and had a glass of wine at their friendly and comfortable bar while I waited. It’s 100 degrees outside- so I wasn’t dressed (shorts and an ocean city tee lol) but it was early.. so I popped in to wait for my order. From reception to bar to the chef popping out with my order- to the other lovely guests who were popping in as well and enjoying banter and kind conversation.. the bartender primo making everyone happy- I can’t tell you how much that atmosphere warms my soul. Good people, great food, no pretensions, phenomenal service.. and I can attest from so many previous visits- a warm and inviting dining room where when they have music you never want to leave. “I’ve been looking forward to checking out the restaurant, Dove & Deer, since I first encountered their food when their chef was highlighted at the annual Summer Gala fundraiser here in Hudson last year. Their chef served an incredible amuse-bouche with gooseberries and the chef who was there sharing the amuse-bouches was wonderfully charming and the food was incredible! I was so impressed that I’ve been following their social media since then and have been looking forward to visiting the restaurant all the while! I was recently in the area and while I unfortunately wasn’t able to visit the restaurant in person- I was able to order through Door Dash and the meal was incredible! We ordered an assortment of things to share and were thrilled with everything! -Spicy Kale Caesar with shredded kale, croutons, and shaved parmesan! -Truffle Parm Fries with scallions and truffle aioli! -Mini Wagyu Beef Hotdogs made with wagyu beef, served in buttery toasted buns, and topped with mustard, ketchup, and relish! -Hot Lobster Dip made with lobster claw and knuckle meat, gruyere, gouda, fontina, spinach, scallion, and crispy wontons! It is often very difficult for a restaurant to adjust their menu to translate to takeout; and for them to do so where every single dish was not only delicious but also mostly with a great presentation, says a great deal about their attention to detail. This is a restaurant I look forward to dining at again many more times over the years!“

“This place is amazing. I didn't know what to expect going in to the all you can eat restaurant. I was happily surprised that it's not buffet style. Servers and bussers. The restaurant is nicely styled and comfortable. The greeters and wait staff couldn't have been kinder or more professional. $28.99 is worth every penny just for that. The longest we had to wait between orders was no more than 5 minutes. The food was fresh, perfectly presented and absolutely delicious! I really can't find the superlatives to describe it. Everything combined made this experience one of the best outings I've ever had. I HIGHLY recommend this place.“

When we found other establishments on New Scotland Ave closing their dining rooms by 9pm on a Saturday night, SakeCafe was graciously open, serving delicious food (we tried a little of everything from sushi to Udon) and with the best tableside service I've experienced in literally years. The popcorn chicken was crispy, but I wish the chicken had used more five-spice powder when marinating it. The spicy wontons were tasty. Overall, the food was good, but the noodles and broth could use a bit more work.“

I'm pretty sure the pizza is smuggled in through a prohibition era brick tunnel that connects DeFazio's to Albany Distilling. “Had a late lunch/early dinner yesterday. I ordered the “Langosta El Mariachi”. OMG!!! It was beyond delicious! The lobster tails were stuffed with shrimp and scallops with a creamy white sauce and cheese... the green beans seasoned perfectly with fresh garlic, the rice was cooked to perfection. The meal was perfectly plated and resembled a piece of art. I enjoyed every morsel. The lobster,shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant has a wonderful and warm ambiance and it is very clean. I highly recommend everyone to experience their own dining experience here. You won’t be disappointed. “Today I was at the Wolf Road location on my lunch. Unfortunately when I sat down I set my drink down on the edge of my try and it spilled everywhere! I went to the counter and asked for a towel to clean up my mess. The gentleman working the register told me he’d take care of it. He came over with a towel and smile then clean up the mess I had made. He even refilled my soda which he had no obligation to do. Sorry I didn’t grab his name but he had a red hat on and curly hair in the back. I’m sure you have people making constant messes that needed attending to but you wouldn’t have known by your reaction to my blunder. I’m in a profession where service is a primary focus and this is what great service looks like. Thank you again for your help today!“

And the new building and seating are far superior to those in the prior incarnation. Sonya and her family have done it again! For us, Pad Thai Noodle is an essential fixture in the restaurant scene of the Capital District. Their Green Curry (my favorite) and the signature Pad Thai (my wife’s fave) are simply unmatched around here. Highly and unreservedly recommended.“
