“Took two trips here on the same day to sample something for brunch and for lunch. For starters, the place is pretty big despite how the place looks from the entrance. The people working behind the counter were pretty cool, service was on point. For breakfast I had the Nutella Custard Croffle and a can of Celsius. The croffle was delightful for sure, pleasing to the taste buds though one small complaint...I don't think croffles are a good base for any sandwich because it was messy eating that, the croffle was kinda all over the place eating it.

Came back here for lunch after a few hours in the gym to order a Mocha Haze Power Smoothie and a Smoked Turkey Croffle. Croffle sandwiches here are delicious as a whole but they are very unstable and can leave a mess so as a note, ALWAYS ask for extra napkins. The smoothie was very good and filling too. I could see myself coming around here a couple more times, trying out as much of their expansive menu as I possibly could.“

It was extremely cold day and was around the shop’s closing time, yet he asked me to stay in his shop even though my train won’t be here for a while. So happy it’s just around the corner from me ☺️. The bartenders are amazing, Jessica is such a sweetheart and makes the absolute best drinks. The owner is super cool and really sets the tone for the great vibes here.
The cook always puts out delicious finger foods which are perfect for snacking while drinking. I especially love when they do karaoke nights and bring in live bands, it’s always a fun time. And when DJ Sound Nice plays there, he always has the place rocking with all types of music.

“I've never tried Kava before and so, I really wanted to check it out! This spot in Brooklyn is a very casual, relaxed, and chill spot for you to hang with friends or get some work done (there's free wi-fi!). The menu is pretty straight forward and you can get either your choice of tea or a cocktail.

I ended trying Blood moon, lassi, Kolkata, and Cinnamon toast crunch cocktails. The cocktails themselves were pretty decent and just tasted like juice. Definitely a cool experience, and I would love to try other spots.“

Blacksmiths Breads was one of the breakfast places on my list.. and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The coffee was spot-on and the croissant was perfectly soft, buttery, and fresh. Everything hit the mark. I’ll definitely be back, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch, quick breakfast spot. 10/10!“

“Came here on a Sunday morning for some brunch and it was an ok experience. There wasn’t a wait to order but it took 25-30mins for my crepe/sandwich to come out which is very long for what’s supposed to be a quick bite. I’ve never had to wait more than 10 mins for a crepe before so this was not a great start. Seemed like others were waiting quite a while too. I didn’t dock a star for this though bc the entire place is tiny so they really don’t have the capacity to take on too much at once so just keep that in mind.

Crepe is delicious, it’s thick and crispy unlike most places and it’s a huge portion too! Sandwich my bf got was not bad either. However, bc I was in a rush I wouldn’t be down to wait that long for this meal again

Matcha strawberry was the most disappointing thing for sure. There is no excuse for the matcha to be grainy at the bottom if you make it properly. and to charge $7 for the drink to be mostly milk is criminal, the color was barely green. The strawberry flavor was very light and tasted like fresh strawberries but there wasn’t any in the drink which is interesting.“

“I will go the distance for excellent coffee and pastries and Rita & Maria has both!! I’ve been coming to this quaint cafe for the past 2 years or more. The cafe is a 20 min walk from my place and it’s well worth the trek. I would typically walk over with my dog, so it gave him a chance to sniff along the way. Each of the many visits have been a good experience. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, no matter how busy they are and there is typically a bit of a line. I’ve had my fair share of delicious pastries—maybe to my own detriment (working on discipline)! Rita & Maria’s never fails to impress, always offering a unique twist on their pastries and changing them for the seasons. Their baker creates some wonderful creations. The most recent tasty, perfect pastry was their citrus olive oil fennel cake. Soo soo good and moist. The fennel gave it a nice twist. The sizable piece was perfect and once I finished I wanted to have another! Of course, it’s all about moderation. I’ll be back for a slice another day!“

I am not a huge matcha fan, but I think of it the way folks think of beer… there’s gotta be the right matcha out there for everyone haha. “I have been frequenting the Kookaburra Malverne location on and off for several years. The only downside is they close a bit early for my schedule and they only take cash. Other than that, this location is full of phenomenal humans. The customer service is unparalleled. Every single time that I can remember there that’s been a superb interaction with the baristas and the clientele. Today one is the baristas wishes a client Happy Birthday anniversary wishes and the client was so moved. Heck, I was moved. A couple of months ago I was here and heard a client place an order and received the order and said it wasn’t what she ordered. In many cases folks would get annoyed as they made what the client requested, but the barista was so kind and professional, but mostly so kind and understanding and she remade the clients order and offered the “mistaken” beverage for the client to take at no charge. It was such a great moment to witness. The energy in here is quite welcoming and positive. Our furry babies are welcome and everyone is treated with respect and kindness.

When our PTSA requested a donation for our Supermarket Bingo they didn’t hesitate for a second. 🙏🏽

“First time trying out , after seeing such great reviews and delicious pictures of the food, I was excited . I played it safe and got a BEC with avocado & it was sooo good! There was love in that sandwich and I tasted it . Super sweet and welcoming ladies , I can’t wait to go back and try something new“

“Had the BEC Pizza and ordered a Sapphire Martini ( they were out of Bombay) so ordered a Pinot Noir instead. Was a tad light.
The Pizza however was unexpected and delicious. Crust was good and while not quite a 12 inch pizza not bad.
The service was actually the best part of the dining experience. My waiter and the back waiter were really great. The hostess was also super cordial and made me feel welcomed.

On Sunday’s they include little extra breads with every order, which are freshly made and super delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough. Go try the empanadas as well! The service is always warm and welcoming, and everyone who works here is truly lovely. The food is consistently delicious and incredibly fresh you can really taste the quality.

The owner clearly hires the best people. I’ve always had such friendly interactions with the staff, and they make you feel genuinely at home. Belkyis, Stephanie and Jhulie are amazing, vibrant and humble women! I’ve even witnessed moments where customers were completely disrespectful, and the staff responded with nothing but professionalism and kindness. That speaks volumes about their character and people skills especially in this kind of environment.

As someone who used to work in the food industry, I understand how challenging it can be to work with the public, and I truly commend this team for how they handle themselves. They go above and beyond.

I would absolutely give this place more than five stars if I could. I do miss when they were open for dinner because their dinner menu was amazing, but everything they currently offer is fantastic from the smoothies to the açaí bowls, and especially the Brazilian cheese bread. It’s all a must-try.

I ordered the pastrami, egg, and cheddar on an everything bagel with chipotle mayo, and it was A-1—perfectly toasted bagel, generous pastrami, fluffy eggs, melty cheddar, and just the right kick from the chipotle mayo. Super satisfying and clearly made with care. The coffee was also perfectly made, which really completed the breakfast.
