“I stopped in on my way home from Rhode Island to Philadelphia. I made the stop because this place has amazing authentic food. I use to live in Queens and came here every week. I since moved a few years back and I will stop here every time I get a chance. Love the owner, very friendly and kind and he hands out free falafel throughout the day.“

“For over 9 years,
I've visited this restaurant in the Astoria area of Queens, NY with my family and friends.
After playing semi-pro soccer and now as an amateur, I always come here to enjoy a great time.
The food is delicious and flavorful, and the service is excellent.
I highly recommend it to anyone.
And the best part? It's not expensive — affordable for any budget.
TN.
Visit it and you'll see!
I'm back today for my favorite fish.
Last time I forgot to put 5 star.“

“I have visited Aden multiple times and have always enjoyed my experiences. Delicious Yemeni food, likely the best in Queens, whether sit down, take-out, or from their street grill, coupled with the friendly service will keep me and my family coming back. Take the poor reviews of this business and set them aside as merely bad judgment on the reviewer's. This is not a fast food restaurant! Expect to wait a little, but you will be satisfied.Their Steinway Halal cart outside offers half chicken and kabobs over rice. Delicious!“

“The best falafel in New York, hands down. Everything from the hummus and pita, to the pickles and the meat platters is made with so much care, love and authenticity. The best middle eastern food we've ever had and we make a (pita) point to come back regularly. Eddie, the owner, is also the nicest guy who loves making delicious food for his customers. This place is a gem of a find“

“Well, we visited as part of a food tour of NY. Being quite frank, if we had been by ourselves we might well have walked right past Mamoun's; it doesn't have the greatest frontage, and some might be put off.
But oh, my! Get in there and have yourself the best falafel around. We've travelled to many parts of north Africa and the Middle East and I can honestly say that this is the best falafel we have had - especially with that brutally gorgeous hot sauce (two bottles purchased to take back to the UK).
Definite revisit required!“

“We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!“

“My girlfriend and I stopped by Fire Kabob and WOW! This place is great! Clean dining area and SUPER friendly staff. We ordered 2 plates, chicken and Lamb and then a side of eggplant burani. The food is fresh and delicious! The rice and homemade sauces are excellent. It also came with a side of bread and salad. Can't wait to try out all their other items, we will definitely be back. I would post pics but we scarfed down every bit of it. It's a must try! Chicken and Lamb - Tender and cooked perfect. Eggplant Burani - a must try, unlike anything I have ever tried. Rice - seasoned perfect and you get a lot of it. Def try the sauces that come with it.“

“My partner and I came in for dinner and he said it reminded him exactly of his Persian grandmother’s cooking. We tried both the fried Kubeh and the Kubeh soups which were incredible. Service was very friendly and the restaurant space is beautiful. We will be back the next time we are in the city for sure!“

“Everyone with a good heart and conscious is welcome here.
Al Aqsa is well-deservedly famous for their shawarma. It's crispy, salty, and filling. Of equal stature is their falafel. Not to mention, they offer freshly baked Palestinian bread loaves and ka'ak for people looking to bring fresh Palestinian baked goods home.
Ambience is inspiring as it speaks for social justice in Palestine. Service is beautiful; it's a treat to have the owner around as he takes good care of customers. Please come check out Al Aqsa when you're in Brooklyn“

“Me and my family decide to have a late lunch here after seeing the advertisement and reviews on instagram. We loved the food! The atmosphere and service was amazing. Finally, we have a Mediterranean place close to home. You have to come try this place and by the way they have an outdoor in the back where you can have hookah for those who are interested.“

“The beautiful, intimate atmosphere and absolutely top notch comfort food would be worth it alone - BUT the service was also awesome. After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. Absolutely everything we had was wonderful but the knafeh actually brought a tear to my eye. ❤️ Absolutely would recommend 5 out of 5 stars.“

“I visited Ayat Ditmas Park with my family, and the experience was delightful. The interior is vibrant and beautifully decorated, with striking artwork on the walls and an upstairs seating area with a glass floor, allowing you to see people below, a unique touch that adds charm to the space. I tried fried calamari with fries, khubz, and the family platter, paired with refreshing lemonade and mint lemon water. Each dish was flavorful and satisfying, highlighting the care and quality of the food. The service was attentive and welcoming, making the meal even more enjoyable. What made the visit memorable was the combination of delicious, vibrant cuisine and the striking, lively atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would gladly return.“

“I came to Holy Pita and ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy, perfectly spiced, and wrapped in fresh pita with all the right toppings. Every bite was full of flavor.
The staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was fast. The restaurant itself is clean and has a great, casual vibe.
If you’re in the mood for authentic Mediterranean food, this is the spot. The chicken shawarma alone is worth the trip!“

“The food was definitely good: good portion sizes (for NYC), we especially liked the hummus and other sauces which felt authentic. Wide variety of items in the platter. Decent prices for NYC.
My only gripe is that this is a counter top takeout place and the payment system asks for 15/20/25% tip and dude was watching me as I tapped the buttons on the screen, so I felt pressured to tip for no service before even getting my food. Not unique to this place but that’s the only reason I’m not hustling back.“

“Really a great and very unique restaurant. First of all, the bread is more than great and completely different from any other bread in the United States. In the restaurant, you feel as if you are in Egypt or any other Arab country. You can have breakfast with beans, falafel, hummus, liver, and heart, just like you would eat in any popular restaurant in Egypt. For lunch, you can also eat Mandi and various delicious meats. The prices are reasonable, and the area where the restaurant is located is very lively 🌸🌸“

“My opinion is 8.3/10. Overall I did enjoy it for my first shashuka. $15 for hummus, 2 eggs and 2 pitas pockets. Overall fresh and enjoyable. Maybe wait was a tad long about 30 mins and maybe a little strong on tahini in the hummus. Check out my in depth video reviews on any of the platforms below. “The food at this place is absolutely fantastic. With prices that are hard to beat these days, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’re getting a real deal without compromising on quality. I went with the chicken, while my dad tried the falafel, and we decided to add baba ganoush to both—it was creamy, flavorful, and the perfect complement to our meals.
Our food did take a little while to arrive, but that’s only because everything is made fresh to order, which I truly appreciated. Every bite showed the care and effort that goes into each dish. Beyond the delicious food, the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help, making the experience even better. If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit spot—supporting this business means enjoying food that’s genuinely unbeatable.“

“My first time visiting and Ahmed was so kind and welcoming! I tried the mixed platter with three different meats and two sides (I chose rice and salad). The salad was fresh and crunchy, the meat and rice were seasoned wonderfully. Every bite was delicious, and the portions were huge. It's more a restaurant vibe so give them a little time to cook the food. Overall I highly recommend and I'll be coming back!“
