“Truly the best falafel — I’ve been supporting this spot since I was a child and they were a cart in front of the C-Town on Broadway (RIP). Since their spot opened, I regularly pickup or dine in with loved ones. The hot sauce is deliciously spicy, the chicken is always grilled to perfection, the rice pudding is a perfect end to the meal, and the salad+hummus combo is my absolute favorite. Also, as someone with Celiac Disease, it’s been great to have this reliably gluten free delight in my neighborhood. It’s such a wonderful place and I’m so grateful they exist, what a journey it’s been over the years! I also genuinely love the political decor in the restaurant, free Falastin forever and always 🫶🏽🙌🏽“

“Been to Levant a couple of times now and I feel i’m ready to share my experience. First time I ordered a sausage feteer to go. It was still perfectly crispy when I got it home. I like the square bottom bag and the octagonal box the feteer comes in. Today, I was in the mood for a wrap. I ordered the beef shawarma. They toasted the wrap - nice and hot on a giant panini press. It was so juicy I didn’t need the special Levant sauce. Then I thought let me dig the wrap in the sauce and wow. Tasted even better. Will be back to sample their meat pies next!“

Delicious Yemeni food, likely the best in Queens, whether sit down, take-out, or from their street grill, coupled with the friendly service will keep me and my family coming back. “I’ve been going to mamoun’s since 2009 (back when a falafel was only $2.50!). I CRAVE this place every time I’m in nyc. The OG NYC falafel and still the best I’ve ever had in the USA. They’re now a small chain. This is the original location and the only one worth going to. The other more corporate locations are not as good. Beware, the hot sauce is INSANELY hot, and they are cash only.“

“We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. After we were graciously seated without a reservation (try to book ahead because you really won't want to miss this place), the staff was so kind, friendly, and attentive. Finally, we have a Mediterranean place close to home. You have to come try this place and by the way they have an outdoor in the back where you can have hookah for those who are interested.“

“Some might be hesitant to enter a place with decor reflecting the current war. Personally for me, it makes it more culturally significant and interesting. Now throw away the politics: it’s some of the best falafel in NYC, and for me at least, falafel is a serious food item to be discussed and debated. The shawarma and hummus is also totally legit. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome which is great. For folks from places where this fare is less available, I think it’s a worthy inclusion in any Bay Ridge food tour.“

“Favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in Brooklyn in such a central location. Their food is amazing and so delicious but their baba ganoush? Hands down, my FAVORITE item on their menu. I have not found another baba ganoush that comes close to how delicious their's is. The servers are so generous and refills the pita (which comes out hot and fresh). In a time where restaurant prices are astronomical, Bedouin Tent somehow keeps their prices relatively low for the quality of their food. I've come several times already and look forward to coming back“

“A very nice place to check out if you’re into mediterranean cuisine! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious food. But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.“
