“Fantastic middle of nowhere all-day breakfast Diner. The way it always was and should be! The staff are the greatest. The food took like 3 mins. to get to my table. Coffee refills delicious and really fragrant. Texas burger's really, really good and so were the sides. Burnt Hills Cafe has the total 'old school flair' going for it. The mix of folks was young and old. A few groups were just some friends kicking it. It was really delicious. The food is a top-tier 5 star. Burnt Hills Cafe specializes in breakfast dishes - but my lunch here was just as tasty and hot! The bar area is short and jammed so be ready to sit at tables, like back in the day. Review: 5+“

“I came here on a Thursday night and it was relatively busy so I would recommend a reservation. Service was attentive but not overwhelming. The ambiance is very nice; rustic yet not dingy. They provided complementary bread and butter which came in the form of rolls. For my main, I ended up getting the maple chicken salad. The maple balsamic vinaigrette was really delicious with the apples and the grilled chicken, but the highlight of the meal was definitely the pumpkin nut muffin. It was soft and spiced very nicely; I was surprised by how well it complimented the salad. The person I went with got the fish and chips. He said it was pretty good but "inauthentic to the U.K." (this is a good thing; it means the fish was seasoned well). Overall, I would certainly recommend the Olde Bryan Inn for a comforting vibe and good food.“

“Great quality food and service in all cozy, homestyle restaurant setting. We didn't need full meals but were looking to tide ourselves over until a later dinner so shared the chowder, French onion soup, 2 flavors of wings and the Napa salad. All excellent but might go for 2 chowders next time!“

“Went to Ripe Tomato tonight for dinner and was not disappointed. Starting with their bread which I couldn't stop eating. I had the special Pasta Milano and it was so good I wish I hadn't eaten all that bread. The others in our party ordered veal parm and seafood FraDiablo which were OK but nothing special. Our waitress was great and the atmosphere is a little loud but not deafening. If you haven't been give it a try and enjoy. Suggest you make reservations of you go on weekend.“

“So we decided to go on their Tuesday 3 for 30 special.Cons: The waitress didn't fill up our drinks the entire time we were there and the glasses were right on the edge. I had to finally ask her and eventually she brought them. We also were using a gift card to pay. The waitress told us we couldn't tip using the gift card and there was no alternative way to add a tip which makes no sense since plenty of restaurants can. And she kept taking my phone with her to go discuss the issue which I wasn't comfortable with. Eventually she said she could remove a drink and then make me pay for that in order to leave a tip. I strongly advise to not buy a gift card here!Pros: the chicken Parm was absolutely huge, delicious and a great deal!!! Also the Mac and cheese bites are amazing. Overall the 3 for 30 deal is a Great special. The toffee pudding cake is delicious as well! Food was good! The food also came out very fast.“

“Pretty cafe with old time music (my favorite) Very nostalgic interior = and they just added a children's play area for when there's a wait. Staff super friendly but not intrusive. I've never had a bad meal here and try to go every weekend. Their Country Morning Breakfast or California Benedict are my favorite.“

“My wife and I recently decided to try Scallions Restaurant in Saratoga Springs for lunch.A few years ago this restaurant was on our list to try, but when we stopped in for dinner, we stood and waited for several minutes, and no one greeted us when we arrived and were at the podium at the entrance, so we just left and went elsewhere, and hadn’t been back. This time was very, very different, and we regret not going back to give them another try sooner, as the experience was simply “excellent” in every regard. We went for lunch, and it wasn’t too busy. We were greeted immediately upon our arrival by a friendly manager, who asked us where we would prefer to be seated. We chose a small table by the window, and were presented with menus and a list of beverages, while she promptly brought us glasses of water. The menu had several choices that looked appealing, and as we looked it over, we each ordered a glass of wine, which was generously poured and delicious. We noticed that French Onion Soup was the “Soup of the Day”. This is one of our favorites, but we are highly critical, and usually disappointed. This was NOT the case today. More on that in a couple of minutes. . .As the main course, my curly headed companion ordered one of the specials: Salmon on mixed greens that came with chick peas, onions, sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, and goat cheese, with a house dressing. I opted for Ryan’s Roast Beef, which is one of their paninis served with smoked mozzeralla, roasted red peppers, arugala and horseradish cream on grilled farm bread. The soup arrived and our first impression was positive. It had melted cheese (swiss and gruyere, I believe) baked and dripping off of the sides of the bowl, and under that delectable cover was a deliciously hot steaming mixture of soup broth, tender cooked onions, and croutons that were seasoned to perfection. We agreed at that point that whatever else might happen, this meal was already in the “success”column. It took some effort (which is a good thing with this soup) to get every last piece of cheese off of the bowl when we finished the soup, but it was worth it.Then came the entrees, and our experience continued along its pleasant mid day path:My wife truly enjoyed her Salmon salad, and was contemplating asking for the recipe for the house dressing, which was clearly the invention of the chef.I loved the Roast Beef sandwich, which complemented the lingering taste in my mouth of the French Onion Soup.Being retirees, we took our time with our entrees and wine, and were the only customers remaining in the restaurant when the dessert choices were mentioned. We typically skip dessert, or only peruse the menu to count the calories we would avoid by not ordering, but this time, we opted to split an order of Toll House Cookie Pie. We were again delighted with the taste and portion size of this treat. It was warm, appropriately gooey, and topped with fresh dollop of whipped cream.Throughout our dining experience, our server checked back with us a few times, engaged in pleasantries, and was a delightfully friendly. We’d give Scallions 5 stars out of 5, and would recommend it for lunch. We will be back for more lunches, and for dinner to try that menu out as well.“

“We have been twice now when we are in the area and had Joellen as our waitress each time. She has been amazing each time; making sure to check in and tell us any details! The food is always amazing in quality and quantity. We always bring leftovers home. Fried pickles are delicious (and spears! So there any many to share). Mac and cheese is delicious and homemade. Will definitely be coming back!“

“Omg! So good! Charlotte and Arnole are the best! I went with their recommendations-do the same-you won't be disappointed. Charlotte's descriptions were right on. Service was fantastic-very friendly and attentive. They will make you feel well taken care of! Food: wedge salad, pasta special (bread to soak up the sauce), and zeppoles. You know your meal is delicious when the zeppoles are your least favorite. Try it-you won't be disappointed!“

Wonderful, unique, and delicious drinks.Their menu items are savory and portions are filling. As a former hostess/bartender/wait staff, it was a pleasure to watch their front room staff interact and perform like a well-oiled-machine.Vegetarian options: They are willing to accommodate my good allergies.Dietary restrictions: They are willing to help me with gluten free options!“

“Went for Easter brunch with my mother. It was an à la carte brunch which I much prefer since I can no longer get my money's worth at one of the normal brunches (too old to stuff myself to the point of bursting like I could when I was younger since it is like drinking too much). Our waitress Sarah (sorry if misspelled) was great. As a former server myself, please leave your servers, their tips and cash if possible. It's appreciated. Also, the owner came out to see how everything was and I apologize for forgetting her name but a lovely woman. We've been there on several different occasions and haven't been disappointed.“

“Absolutely love this place! Full disclosure: it gets busy, it can get full fast and this location doesn't have a great waiting area. That said I feel like parking can be easier than the Schenectady location and if you have to wait there are cute shops that can occupy your time. The food and staff are wonderful and anything you get to drink will be amazing. It's fun to do the full afternoon tea service, with a mimosa flight and overall it's a delightful experience.“

“Our choice for Schenectady Restaurant Week was Turf Tavern in Scotia, we have never been....it was delicious! I ordered off the restaurant week menu, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Prime Rib, Creme Brulee (this also came with a salad). Hubby had a Wedge Salad and the Sweet Cherry Pepper Pulled Pork. Everything was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor, although I did need a little salt...Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!“

“I want to start this off with I am a person who loves trying new places and sitting inside to eat, but unfortunately most places are too packed, loud and overwhelming for me to sit inside and eat. However, this place was not only a safe and quiet place, but it's a tucked away little sweet place with a couple galleries to walk around before or after you eat, or if there's a wait, or just in general if you are an art enthusiast as myself. There is more than enough seating available. And even some outdoor seating with a little area to move around if you have kids that need to run around a bit or are high energy.Food wise. I highly recommend the falafel burger and tater tots. They were both super crispy and so flavorful. Not many places can perfect the falafel, however, i think this place has got it figured out! The side portions are on the snaller side. So, I do recommend getting your own rather than getting an order to split, unless you have a more sensitive stomach or fill up quickly, then it is the perfect amount! The workers were very sweet and attentative if we needed anything.Overall left happy and fed, and 100% comfortable the entire time!“

“I ended up at this restaurant as a nearby Turkish place was closed due to snow in April. We were a party of 4 and got seated immediately even though we showed up without a reservation. This placed was packed on Thursday evening. The waitress was courteous and offered us some treats while we decided on our dinner. We got calamari and roasted cauliflower for the starters moving on to salmon, scallops and a vegetarian dish that the waitress suggested. Flavors were on the spot and cooked to perfection. Must visit if you are in Saratoga or Ballston Spa.Vegetarian options: Not much to choose from but you won’t go hungry.“

“Osteria Danny in Saratoga Springs is an absolute gem! Believe the hype. The service is impeccable, with staff that goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The ambiance is charming, creating a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. I expected it to be more formal, but it's quite casual and laid back. Now, let's talk about the food - each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavors that elevate the dining experience to new heights. We started with Brussels sprouts and "bada bing" shrimp; plus the complimentary bread, bean salad and perfectly chilled butter. Loved all of it...the sprouts were sweet and savory; the shrimp gigantic and decadent. Main courses were bolognese and spicy crab (served over pasta). Absolutely delicious, huge portions. So much crab on top of homemade pasta with a kick of hot peppers. All pasta is made in- house with one exception (and that one is imported from Italy). But, we stopped and had leftovers put aside so that we could try the desserts: Italian cheesecake and sticky toffee cake (served with salted caramel gelato), accompanied by an espresso. Again-amazing. These people know what they're doing. From the appetizers to the desserts, Osteria Danny consistently delivers a culinary delight that will bring me coming back for more. This restaurant truly captures the essence of casual/fine dining in Saratoga Springs. Can't wait to return!“

“This is a classic diner tucked in the middle of downtown Saratoga! It’s hard to believe it is still here while new restaurants and condos have been going up around it over the years, but it’s great for Saratoga that it has stood the test of time. The breakfast was great and the service was nice and unbelievably fast!We will definitely be back.“

“Was absolutely amazing. This place was good and knows how to handle situations. Our waitress was embarrassed by the group of drunk women who thought it was ok to grab her butt while we ordered food. She handled it like a champ and staff was quick to react and get patrons to leave. Hope her day got better after the entitled "keep up with Jones's" left. Will be back again.“

“Great food and staff. I have food allergies and they are very cautious about that. I usually get the greek chicken dish with red wine. It is a small and intimate restaurant so gets very crowded. Right in the village of Round Lake so a stroll throughout the village after dinner is a good choice!“

“Overall a very good experience! The place was a bit pricey, but not too bad for what you get. My fiancé got a burger which was decent for a burger (but not really what you'd go there for, we expect). I had the fish and chips which were very good and fresh but needed more salt. The sweet potato fries were also STELLAR and I had a special of the corn and crab dip which was amazing. The real highlight was the CHOWDER. Now, I think it was a special and not offered all the time but holy moly. It was chicken and sweet potato chowder and it was the ROCKSTAR. I wanted to order some to go to have for lunch the next day it was so good. Overall, a really good experience.“

“I came for Sunday brunch at about 1 pm and there were only a few people sitting down (more arrived later). We sat in a little nook by the front door. As always, the service here is excellent and our waiter was very attentive. I have to say, I have never been the greatest fan of their dinner but their brunch was excellent. My friend and I split four dishes: the churro waffle, the Madrid waffle, the fries, and a side of bacon. The churro waffle comes with maple syrup and butter and had a lot of cinnamon flavor. The Madrid waffle came with a berry compote and cream. I am a Vermonter and yet I wasn't missing maple syrup with the Madrid waffle. They really piled on the berries and cream so each bite of the waffle could have both components layered on top. The seasoned fries were very well seasoned and crisp. The bacon was the melt-in-your-mouth consistency that good bacon should be and was still crispy. Additionally, our brunch was actually pretty cost-effective; not what I've come to expect from Saratoga food. This is a great option for a Sunday brunch and I will definitely be coming here again in the near future.“

“My mom & I visited Saratoga Springs this weekend and I found in a Google search Carson's. The restaurant is located Malta, NY which was only around 15 mins away. Monday nights are trivia nights but if you're looking to participate, make sure you have a charged device because that's how they keep score of points. The view is amazingggg from where the tavern lies. The food and drinks were also exceptional! We had the tuxedo shrimp to start and a Caesar salad & the mac and cheese which were both delicious. They also had fire pits which we took advantage of before leaving. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area!“

“This place is a gem. We went here when the line at Jumpin Jacks was winding through the parking lot.The food here was reasonably priced. We got a deluxe cheeseburger (delicious), a fish fry platter (husband LOVED it), and chicken fingers. The platter came with an entire bowl of coleslaw, which was a pleasant surprise. After dinner we got a push pop, small cone and medium cone. All in all we spent less than $40 for 3 people to have dinner and dessert. We will be going here lots over the summer. There was plenty of seating inside. “Dozer's is like taking a Time Machine back to the early 2000's. This is what Saratoga used to be like - causal neighborhood bar, locals and regulars hanging out with delicious (and fairly priced) food. Their wing special is one of the best deals going and what's even better than the price is the delicious flavor and perfect crisp of the wings. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Grateful to see places like this still exist in Saratoga. An absolute hidden gem that is worth going back to time and time again.“

“Our group of 4 made a last-minute reservation here for dinner for restuarant week, and we were so happy we did! While we did order 4 meals off of the $35 (3-course) menu, because their regular menu looked so good, we decided to add a couple of extra appetizers. Everything was fantastic. From the restaurant week menu, we enjoyed the flank steak and chicken piccata entrees, which were both delicious! Perfectly cooked, extremely flavorful. From their regular menu, we ordered medium wings and their Chicago Style Italian Beef Egg Rolls, both of which were a huge hit . The service was prompt, friendly, and they geninely seemed happy we were there. This was our first visit, and most certainly will not be our last. Highly recommend.“

“An absolute gem of a place! I got the Shrimps & Scallops Marinara and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. A touch spicy but not overpowering. The linguine soaked up the sauce perfectly. I ate all the scallops and knew I had to take the rest home because it was a huge portion. Lightly heated the next day with the shrimp and it was still perfection!
