“If you want a place to go eat with dirty hands this is the one! Bathroom is always closed but there’s an alley not too far away. You can tell management really cares about the customer experience when they keep the bathroom closed from customers. And they even have tables, that alone would be a health department violation(tables without a working bathroom) but who has time to call them anyway? I think the stuff here is delicious but it could also be the flavor from the last customer on the door handle so who knows?“

I’m so Glad my husband found a bakery that not only is named black forest but also bakes the most delectable Black Forest cakes I have ever had. “The owner is a world class j**** He initiated a confrontation with me in the parking lot. I was going through my purchases when he said in a surly, tough guy manner: You're not going to return that, are you. I thought he was joking. I responded: No just checking to see if the order was correct. He then says: My kids are smart, It's the customers who are idiots. As he was backing his car out I must have had my WTF face on as I was shaking my head. He lowered his window and started in with an insane rant. Told him he was rude and insulting and I didn't want to hear it. He continued even as I got in my car. This guy was crazy enough that he could have gotten violent. The sad part is, for years I have been patronizing Fiorello Dolce even though it is a 20 minute drive from home. I have also recommended them to several people as the best bakery around. You can be sure of two things: I will never go back there again and I will share this story with as many people as possible.“

“I go to Diane’s all the time for coffee and baked goods, at least once a week. I invited new moms and dads from the Roslyn school today for a gathering at Diane’s this morning to support local business. We had about 12 people. Sat outside at the patio where the shaded area was. Everybody all bought coffee and pastries. We arranged the tables and chairs in a long row so we could see each other. Later we were told by Diane, the owner, that she wasn’t happy that we rearranged her tables and sat together in a row. Why? The place wasn’t crowded with other guests. We all bought and paid for goods. I couldn’t help but thinking that because we were all Asians?! She could ask us kindly to put the tables and chairs back once we finish, which we did without being asked at the end. But with the unwelcoming remarks I will never come to support this business again. I don’t say this lightly but I felt it was discrimination in every way. I’m truly disappointed. I love Diane’s and the yummy treats but the owner was truly unkind. I share this post here because I don’t think this business supports diversity, which is a shame because this community is becoming more and more diversified.“

If you are ever hungry during work or just hungry this is the place to go! The ingredients they use are so fresh and tasty and you could tell that they genuinely care for their customers and they remember everyone who orders from their place! My sister and I ordered once and then we ordered the other day as well and they included a small note for us to say thank you which I really thought was so kind of them and then my sister ordered again and they gave us free potato salad, and pickles on the side, which is very kind! When you have great food and great people working then all you have is good things to say! My twin sister recommends the nova sandwich. The way they make the bagel, the spices , and the spread. My twin sister says this is the best nova that she’s ever had. Me personally I don’t like nova but I tried the nova sandwich from this place and you guys made me change my mind.
