“Sottocasa has been a neighborhood favorite for years. The wood-fired pizza is some of the best in the city--the dough has the perfect flavor and chew! Wine is excellent and affordable. Good beer options too! Also good gluten free and vegetarian options for my friends with dietary restrictions.Vegetarian options: Verdure Pizza is amazing!“
“I came here last night with two of my friends and we were very impressed with the customer service here. I've always seen this place, but never stopped in but I've been craving authentic Italian food. We made reservations for 5:30p which was clutch because after 6:15p on a Saturday this place was packed! To start the customer service was phenomenal and I was impressed with how the waiters remember all the specials because there were so many. They also checked on our table often to see if there was anything we needed. Now for the food, they have a Flatbread that comes with a red sauce to start which is very appetizing. We got the fig salad which was perfect to start along with the steamed clams. For my entree I got the Ravioli and I'm glad I did. Overall this meal was so satisfying that of course I wanted more. Happy most of all with the service. Thanks for having us and thanks for an amazing 1st time experience at your restaurant. I'll definitely come back soon.Parking: Free after 7pm, the meter is 2hr street parking but we found a park pretty easily across the street around 520p on a Saturday. Probably depends on weather and time of day.Kid-friendliness: Saw lots of families dining while we were there.“
“Driving along the nyc streets and Louie’s decided to invade my personal space and take my nostrils on a journey …. Inside gave a real original pizza shop vibe…. I went with the ribeye and tbh was disappointed…. Only that I didn’t get medium …. The flavors, the char, the potatoes and carrots everything was on point…. I’ll be back back to terminate the salmon with tomatoes and basil“
“Best place to eat pizza around my neighborhood! Nice working family people, they always treats my 2 years daughter with nice ? She loves the spot!! Pizza ? taste? Dont even mentioned it. you will like it! Just CASH! That means they have confidence... not play with apple pay or card!!^^“
“My son and I love their Sicilian pizza! It’s so flavorful and yummy. The bread is soft and doughy as people mentioned but we like it that way. I order their Sicilian pie regularly on the Seamless / Grubhub app which is nice because they only accept cash in the store. The pie is huge and we usually end up freezing half of it and enjoying it for the following week or two. Definitely a hidden neighborhood gem!“
“The best Neapolitan margherita pizza I've ever had, especially the crust. The ingredients taste so fresh. I had to wait 40+ minutes to get one pizza. I recommend ordering before you arrive. The owner makes the pizza in-front of you. I think that’s what makes it so good.. they take their time but it’s worth it.“
“Best pizza ever! I have lived across the street since I was 11, and now that I've moved out of state, I make sure to come back and get Eddie's pizza when I visit. Even got my husband hooked ! 10/10He's also so kind. Growing up, I used to get an extra slice when I ordered my 2 slices every now and then ❤️*Pic from 10.28.23, the car was moving lol“
“This place is a gem! Pinsa is arguably best in the city. Went here kind of by accident for a friends birthday as we were looking for a last minute reservation and they had availability for some reason and friend wanted Italian. Food was absolutely amazing. Appetizers were great including octopus and prosciutto- but the pinsas were truly out of this world. Light, airy - amazing crust with decent chew. Pastas were surprisingly top notch as well! The ragu which even the top Michelin starred places in the city always make sense, and massively salty was perfect. Amazing service, awesome deserts. We had a great time, highly recommended. Nothing beats going into a restaurant with high hopes and moderate expectations just to get much more than expected. Rare these days when overrated seems to be the norm.“
“Great place very familiar and also music is good. It's not too loud so you can still talk to the person with you, the environment here is awesome I loved it. The waitress was very attentive all time.Vegetarian options: Vegetable lasagna was great in here.“
“Honestly the best pizza in town, if I lived closer, I would come here every day. Each bite is just amazing and when you finish a slice you just want to line up and buy another one. I love their burrata pizza but any other choice is as good.“
“My family always comes here for our Italian food needs. We love the vodka pies, Elmont pies & garlic knots to go. Fried calamari is a must when we dine in. We dine in on some occasions and they’re always good to us.I love it when they give you some random slices for free because they feel like it - it let’s me try something I probably wouldn’t have on my own - but I feel like they’re doing a lot less lately“
“Just popped in for dinner with one of my best girl friends and honestly had one of the best dinners that I have had in nyc! Our server Rocco was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and recommended one of his favorites: the eggplant Parmesan. The meal was both hearty and flavorful and the bread that it was served with was some of the freshest pizza dough in Ridgewood. I will definitely be coming again.Vegetarian options: Eggplant Parmesan, salad, excellent bread selection, and a few pizzas to choose and customize from.“
“OMGGGG THE FOOD HERE WAS TOOO GOOD. I got a plain cheese slice thinking it was just going to be a normal slice or whatever but OMG was this pizza the best I've ever had in my life. Was a bit disappointed they didn't have the chicken parm sub like their location in Rockefeller Centre (the best sandwich I've ever had btw) but the pizza def made up for it. LOVE THIS PLACE ?“
“I recently visited Broadway Pizza just right outside of the J train line, Kosciusko station, for a slice, and it truly lived up to its name. Opting for the Margherita pizza, the flavors were exceptional – a genuine taste of Brooklyn. What impressed me even more was the thoughtful touch of providing various seasonings on the side table, allowing customers to enhance their pizza to their liking. This added service element elevated the experience. For fellow pizza enthusiasts in the area, Brooklyn Pizza is definitely worth a try. Highly recommended!“
“In 1940, my grandfather was born in Ridgewood, which he described as “a proud Italian neighborhood in the best borough of the greatest city in the world.” 80 years later, a bunch of yuppies moved there from the Midwest because the rent was cheap and they wanted to fulfill their fantasies of becoming internet famous for doing nothing, while working part time as a juice presser for other transplants. Mano’s is a shining beacon for the old school way. Easily the best pizza in a 5 mile radius. 10/10 QUEENS NY STYLE“
“I only wish I discovered this place sooner. I've had everything from their pizza to their pasta & the food is absolutely delicious with large servings. I mostly get delivery but when I drop in for a slice or some pasta the staff is super friendly & always accommodating. This is now my go to pizzeria. So happy to have found them.“
“Burchak Pide is a gem for pide and lahmacun enthusiasts! The pide is a savory delight, featuring a perfect blend of ingredients and a mouthwatering crust. The lahmacun is equally impressive, with a thin, crispy base and a rich, flavorful topping. Burchak Pide truly masters the art of crafting delicious Turkish specialties. Highly recommended for those seeking an authentic and satisfying culinary experience!“
“This is one of the best restaurants under “Sotto” management. As the go-to spot for my wife and I, we have tried almost everything on the menu. I can confidently say there are no bad dishes here. The seafood pasta wrapped in pizza dough is not only unique but also delicious. Highly recommend!Service quality can be inconsistent when the restaurant is packed, but wine pour is always generous. It is not a problem at all when your bell is full of fresh pasta and aged wine. This place teaches you a lesson in its Italian way… slow down and enjoy the night.“
“So my wife and I just ate at Gino's. It's by far the best pizza in our area. I'm here to rebut the review about the guy who thought the pizza was too thin and burnt. I kill for thin and burnt. I understand we all have different tastes, so let's just say the wrong person got that pizza that night. Gino's is great. The sicilian pie is fantastic. His sandwiches on all on point and he uses the best ingredients because it's not always about the profit. Thank you!“
“I love this place! Always come here when I visit family in NY. No matter the time of day they never disappoint!I can't even pick 1 type to recommend, all the types of pizza are good, you will enjoy any that you pick! And they have the best garlic knots!“
“This is an easy five star wood fired pizzeria. Every pie made fresh and with top quality ingredients. There’s not a wrong choice on their entire menu. Awesome selection of wines and beers however, I do wish they had a full bar because that will elevate Milkflower to a six star review.Staff is super cool and the vibe is next level.“
“Good place to dine,Lasagna on point, above all great food to pick from, sometimes delivery can take time depends on time and weekends, that shows they are busy and food is great that a lot of people order from this place, worth the wait ✋️“
“Got here early and got a spot for dinner! Ordered the Vegan Wild Honey, the Better Off Veg, and Mo Cheeks. All of the pizzas were delicious! Loved the flavor combinations. Friendly service. Something to note is that it’s kind of loud (bar type atmosphere) which was not bad but something to keep in mind.“
“This is a problem. I can never look at pizza the same again. I literally booked a flight from California for three weeks later, after coming home from New York, to have more slices of Rosario’s pizza. I nearly cried when I had my first bite. And to those saying it’s too crispy - go eat somewhere else, and don’t ruin it for the rest of us.. or grow some taste buds. This is how the lord intended pizza to be made. I’m kicking myself for having been going to that other dumb place with the red writing all these years - never again. The arancini (rice balls) were to die for as well. Rosario’s lovely, super sweet and super welcoming daughter, who was skillfully baking and serving the pies during my visit, made the whole experience even more pleasant. The grocery selection was very special and had many hard to find Italian items. The fridge had 4 different brands of my favorite Italian soda flavor, which I have trouble finding even one of. This upcoming visit I will definitely be getting a sandwich to pack for my return flight. Truly one of the wonders of America which should never be taken for granted. Thank you, Rosario’s, for existing.“
“This place was incredible…. Walked here from north Williamsburg and will be definitely be back. Had the Ragu and it was some of the best pasta I have ever had. It was so perfectly Al Dente and fresh. The chicken Milanese was probably our favorite dish but everything was amazing. We came with a vegetarian and a vegan and everyone left very satisfied! The drinks are also great.“
“You can't say anything bad about this place. Anyone with ties to Queens has either had pizza from or at the very least knows about this place. New Park is a Queens institution and serves up some of the best slices you will find anywhere. The pizza is always fresh and you will never get a slice here that has been sitting around for 4 hours like at some other places. Overall a great slice for a great price. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Very strongly recommended.“
“the food here is fantastic and the people that work here are really nice.hole in the wall style, with small seating area.DO NOT order the $14 mixed sandwich. It is not worth it!!!!!all the other sandwiches are $10 and put the same amount of meat - order these!“
“Honestly might be the best pizza by the slice in the city! The dough they use is frankly incredible! My go to slice is their most basic, with just tomato sauce that allows me to enjoy the incredible dough and crust! But if you want to jazz it up you can have them throw a dab of burrata on thereVegetarian options: I mean it’s pizza it’s naturally vegetarian“
“Been coming here since I was a kid, it’s been around a verrry long time they’ve changed ownership a twice and it’s just gotten better every timeRaul, who’s heading the shop now’s got the pizza DOWN. classic & perfect slices ;)“
“Excellent classic NY pizza and I've been all over the tri state. I came in with no expectations and gotta I say its one of the top pizza joints compared to Newpark in Rockaway, Lucias Flushing and Amores in Whitestone. Unbeatable 2 slice drink special. Funny italian guys behind the counter who know what they're doing. Places like this are relics. Get em while they last!“
“For appetizers we ordered the iron skillet meatballs and the mussels frites. The mussels were delicious as always but the sauce was over salted. The French fries in the other hand were undersalted, which is very unusual for me to say because I don't eat salty foods for the most part. I did not have the meatballs but those in my party that had them said they were very tasty but a bit too dense. For dinner we all had pizza. Pizza is the main reason we eat at Dee's. It has a crust that cannot be found anywhere else I have ever eaten. It did not disappoint at all.“
“After a long trip from Dubai, we were looking for a great spot to get homemade Italian food, and wow did we hit a home run, the Chicken Parm, Pizza, Shrimp Diablo, and Soup were all great. Monday night is buy one meal get the 2nd 50% off and the meals are huge. The staff on 12/4 treated us like family. Hope to enjoy in the future. God Bless“
“This place is a little hidden gem. Great vibes especially on Friday with a DJ and karaoke. Food is great but a bit pricey for the portion size. I don't mind spending money on good food but I can't still be hungry after I finish my meal. Luckily my wife had the penne ala vodka. That portion unfortunately was a child size bowl. For $20 it could be a bit bigger. Also when serving pasta, some sort of bread should be included. Overall it's a nice place and good food. My 2 cents is either give a bit more food or lower the price just a bit to match the portion size. I will return again as I enjoyed my experience here.“
“We loved everything! Two of us ordered a crostini, pizza, pasta (ricotta gnocchi with fennel was SO GOOD!) grilled octopus & escarole and beans. We had a little feast and some to take home but wanted to try everything. The Portuguese cabernet was lovely too! Can't wait to go back and try more!“
“The food here was very good and the service was excellent. I had to knock one star off because of a small issue with the pizza, which most would probably overlook. The toppings are great and the dough is solid. However the way they stretch it is completely incorrect for Neapolitan pizza. I didn’t see their entire process but from what I saw it was pretty clear that they stretch the dough with a rolling pin. This creates two problems. First, the edge of the crust is flat and doesn’t spring enough in the oven because the rolling pin degasses the crust so there is no air to create a puffy and crunchy border. This leads to a very dense crust that is not very appetizing. Second, the center of the crust is too thick! Yes, this is the opposite problem as the edge. It’s not a huge issue but it leads to a center crust that’s too crispy and not soft enough. Neapolitan pizzaioli use a very specific technique to stretch and flatten the center of the dough ball while at the same time pushing most of the air into the edge of the crust, creating a thin soft center and a puffy, airy and crispy edge that is a pleasure to eat. I think I would turn this into 5 stars if they adjusted their technique. The pizza is 95% there!I also knocked one star from atmosphere because I was sitting against the heater which was roasting me…Kid-friendliness: We took our kids here. They shared one margherita and the meatballs. They loved everything!“
“Nothing hits like a slice of Joe’s. What’s most amazing is that every location I’ve been to tastes the same and they all hit the spot. This place is chaotic. It’s a pizza JOINT not a restaurant. So be prepared to rub elbows. But your belly will thank you for the mildly sweet and perfectly cheeses slices.“
“We recently moved to Lynbrook and Gallery Four is one of our favorite restaurants for take-out. We order frequently. Our meal comes with salad and bread. Their food is delicious, fresh, and affordable. We have ordered chicken francese, lasagna, chicken parm, penne alla vodka, and garlic knots. Will continue ordering from them and trying new meals. ?“
“We came on a Wednesday (for my birthday!) and ut was our first time and we had a blast! Joe, our instructor, stayed with us the whole hour and showed us proper technique and helped us play some games! I've never thrown axes before but I'll definitely come again! Perfect for a date or for a group of friends. The venue is also really spacious and well decorated“
“Finally ?. Beautiful food that has amazing true Italian flavor and the chef is from Sicily. Chicken parmigiana was excellent and the sauteed broccoli rabe was fresh and beautiful with garlic and olive oil. Thank you for making my tummy happy ??. And I had it delivered! Next time, I will be dining at the restaurant. Grazie ❤️❤️❤️?. Ciao ciao.“
“My favorite local pizzeria. If you grew up in Queens then this place will definitely give you nostalgia with the decor and counter seating. The inside will seldomly get a little crowded with students or a kids baseball team but the service is still quick and I’ve never had trouble finding a seat. The food is amazing. Pizza, chicken parm, or the sausage/peppers are my usual orders. Been going here almost 15 years“
“The chicken parm is to die for. Don’t think twice just get it ! Such a cute cozy restaurant,Staffs always attentive. As a native NYer I’m spoiled but now I am ruined cause I can’t have chicken parm anywhere else. High standards are met in a chill environment. 5 stars.“
“Been wanting to try this place for a long time and it did not disappoint! Delicious slices, friendly service, and incredible prices. I only wish it were open on weekends!Deep dish is good, NY style margherita is good, you really can’t go wrong here!“
“Super nice owners and great service. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. The slices were absolutely perfect. You won't find better crust in the world. $3 beer bottles, which is great. Please try the sausage topping. Big, juicy chunks of pork sausage to die for.Go here!!! Run, walk or crawl.“
“I love Carmine's scillian pizzaI go there above all other pizza parlors to get my pizzaBut my most recent stop in to buy a scillian pizzaWasn't the normal scillian pizzait seems as if someone new is making themand it seems as if it moved away from the traditional recipe that day for some reasonIt used to be thin a light crunch great Italian sauce and the right amount of cheeseI Asked one of the guys behind the counter and he replied that they have a new guy preparing the pizzasI asked because all the pizzas in display case were burned at the edges and that turned me off right away because that is never the case when you look into the display case at Carmines delicious pizzeriaBut I ordered my scillian slices anywayOn that occasion onlyI found that it was not made in the traditional cooked to perfectionthat I know Carmine's pizza to be known forMaybe it was a fluke maybe the guy was out sickWhom prepared the pizzas or maybe the guy who makes the pizzas simply had an emergency and wasn't there that dayI don't knowBut I know once the owner gets the feedbackHe will clear up that matter ASAPas soon as he becomes aware of that matterBecause he serves everything to perfection at Carmine's pizzaI love Carmine's pizzeria, it's the best pizza ever !!!“
“I’ve been here a few times and it’s quickly becoming a favorite when I need to find a place on the upper east side. Absolutely fantastic pizza, amazing burrata pizza in particular. Also, the donuts are amazing! The restaurant is also not ridiculously loud, which is so hard to find and another reason why I like it.“
“Rocco's of Roc Beach is a culinary paradise! The attentive service makes you feel welcomed. The owner lives upstairs and everything on the menu is made in house! The pizza explodes with flavor. We got the White Truffle pizza and I was amazed.I got the Steak special. It was cooked perfectly and had a great seared crust. It was tender beyond belief. The ambiance adds to the experience, making this a must-visit destination for foodies. They do the pasta in the cheese wheel which looks amazing. Next time I visit I will be ordering that!!Looking forward to my next visit here. Enjoy!!“
“Thank you for making my family's day! My sister will only eat NY pizza, so I carried a large pie back to TX, and my family was in heaven! Dante's is definitely being saved to my favorites. The service is great, the space is clean and bright, and the pizza is amazing!“
“Stopped in for a quick lunch. Found this place by accident. Very delicious pizza. We tried an assortment of slices ( Grandma, white , pepperoni, and buffalo chicken. ) All were spot on. Louie was wonderful !Vegetarian options: It's pizza,so many options.“
“Incredible burger! It’s the only one on the menu and it rivals some of the best burgers I’ve eaten in New York City. I’ve been to Donovan’s, Corner Bistro, and Peter Lugers Steakhouse and this burger should be in the same group. The wings are also phenomenal and the atmosphere is great. Very homey and quaint location to get a drink and try a variety of top notch food. Will be going back for the burger.“
“The Domino's in Briarwood Queens is a great pizza spot and their staff is very friendly and helpful. Their food is always on point and usually in and out of the store within a few minutes. Also they always have lots of great deals to choose from.“
