“Went to the brand new Houston location and things are a bit rocky with staffing and supplies but I want to brag on your employee CAMILLA ! We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. The ambiance of this cafe is amazing at first glance but once you walk in it becomes memorable, from the clothing and art hung up on the wall to the retro decorations it felt like walking through a comforting time portal.

The menu had a lot of intriguing food options but I had eventually decided on getting the vegan sandwich ; tomatoes, basil, and mushrooms, with mozzarella cheese (the cheese was upon my request) on a focaccia. The flavors in this sandwich were amazing, every bite was satisfying to my taste buds. I had paired this sandwich with their almond tea mixed with some oat milk which was very soothing and tasty as well, I love and appreciate how their tea bags look personally bagged as well.

I would highly suggest stopping by even if you’re just interested in meeting new lovely people, the staff are very welcoming and supportive.“

“Kai Asian Fusion was the perfect choice for my husband’s surprise 40th birthday dinner. The restaurant was welcoming, flexible, and made it easy to host a group with both adults and kids. But the real star of the night was the food.

Everything was so good. The fried chicken was a huge hit, perfectly crispy and flavorful. The egg rolls and spring rolls were fresh, crunchy, and disappeared fast. The chicken in garlic sauce was absolutely delicious, and the noodles were full of flavor and cooked just right. Honestly, dish after dish was a win, which is a big deal when you’re feeding a crowd with different tastes.

Jay, the manager (and possibly owner), was wonderful to work with. He was responsive, easy to communicate with, and very reasonable with pricing, which made the entire experience stress free.

“Love, Love, LOVE this breakfast spot. I order from here regularly. The food is always fast, fresh and budget friendly. The guy who takes phone orders affectionately refers to us as “The Donut Family” because we usually order the last donuts of the day. What’s pictured here is seasoned waffle fries and a special made burger (bacon cheddar cheeseburger on a glazed donut w/lettuce & tomato). They are open very early. They take cards and cash. The staff is super friendly. Great for delivery but not so great as a dine in spot (they do have a couple of chairs inside but it’s really too small to sit and enjoy a meal without having to move for the incoming foot traffic).“

“Excellent take out home cooked meal style food. I love and buy the salmon piece which is huge and is $8. I also get chicken cutlets for the kids. The cabbage and side items also look good but I just add at home a side and the meal is done. Also the coffee is my favorite in the neighborhood. Muffins melt in my mouth particularly the corn and chocolate chip. They should have more chocolate chip or maybe not bc I would buy and eat it more. There food is great home cooked style for a FAIR price. I’m so glad they are in my neighborhood.“

“came here with my boyfriend this snowy morning to get some breakfast and we stumbled into this diner. immediately i fell in love with the interior decor of the place. it felt very christmasy and had the holiday vibe to it which was beautiful paired with the snow falling outside the window. we placed a breakfast order and the pumpkin pancakes were to die for. they melted in your mouth and were so soft you didn't even need a knife to cut them. the service was very fast and kind too!“
