“Finally tried multiple items and feeling ready to review. For sure a bakery worth to visit in the area. Many unique pastries and bread. Some spaces to improve.
Croissants: overall good, flaky and crispy, but inside were slightly dry. I got a brick-shaped one with chopped pistachio and the Kouign-Amann.
Deli rye was gorgeous too. Really soft with crunchy edge. Based on my long-rye-eating experience.. I think it was less impressive and slightly dry.“

“So happy Byclio Bakery is in the neighborhood. Their birthday cakes are stunning and the flavors are off the charts. We had the espresso chocolate frosting for my wife’s birthday and everyone raved about it. The entire staff was super friendly and professional and it was easy to track my order by text. We are definitely coming back here for future cakes and desserts.“

“I love their almond croissants and walnut levain breads that I get at the NYC Greenmarket - I am sorry they will no longer be there after January 22nd, but look forward to visiting their restaurant in Brooklyn soon !“

“Literally the best falafel and hummus in all of bay ridge, actually the best I’ve ever had! So fresh and tasty and they make their pita and all their breads fresh! The falafel sandwich is unbelievable!
Vegetarian options: Falafel, hummus, salad, taboolah, pickles, rice, falafel platter, falafel sandwich!“
“I think it's crazy how this place literally made every other supermarket go out of business with its consistently good food and fresh produce/ bakery / amazing gyros I mean could this place literally get any better. The line could be down the block and you would still check out in legit 3 minutes max lol 😆 these guys and babushkas know how to run a business 🤣“

“That sandwich in focaccia bread was everything. It was hitting all the notes of sweet, salty, sour, crispy, crunchy, oily, I savored every last bit.
The sandwich shop itself is quaint, there's sliding scale prices on sandwiches, you can sit at the table in the big window, or outside, it's a nice peaceful block.
I look forward to returning and trying more sandwiches and I'm a vegan! They had options to make several sandwiches vegan and I was completely satisfied. Also got a strawberry lemonade, mmmm, yum tasted very freshly made with real fruit and not too sweet. Got my favorite voodoo chips. There's some deli sides, but I don't think any of them are vegan and there's some breakfast sandwiches, including a vegan option.
I trust them here, they make good food.
Vegetarian options: Pastries, sandwiches, deli sides, everything has a vegetarian option.
But I'm vegan and even I was happy with the sandwich selection that you can order vegan.“

“Really good! There was a line but it moves fast. The staff were very kind and helpful. I came around 1:30pm on a weekday and they still had some sandwiches. I got the Burrata, prosciutto and basil sandwich with a peach iced tea, both were delicious!“

“Compared to a decade ago, most of my favorite bagel spots in the city have gone way downhill (I recently got a Bagel Pub bagel that was too wet to eat, as if was thawed from frozen). But I still find Bagel Hole's bagels to be absolutely incredible. I personally love the smaller size, and I LOVE that they are a little bit chewy. And I love that their storefront looks exactly the same as it did when I first started going there!“

“Excellent BEC and the house sauce is fantastic. Def get the mini latkes with cheese! I want to go back and try everything! Can get packed and be a wait to find a seat but if you go at more off hours it’s not too long of a wait to sit. One of the best things I’ve eaten in a while!“

“This is a really great and tasty treat bakery. They have lots of daily prepared fresh pastries on display. Their coffee taste awesome as well. I got also a walnut cookie very nice taste. They are only take out....will definitely be back and try something else when im in the area. On another note their front service workers are not very friendly, but I went and gave the 5 stars on account of their products.“

“Writing this as I initially came in because I wanted something quick and warm for breakfast. I ordered two doubles, one fish and one veggie and I was blown away!
It’s lunchtime and I walked back over to get the same thing again. Wow very delicious“

“The food is incredible and service is top-notch! The staff is all friendly and patient—they operate like a family having a good time while also managing everything efficiently and smoothly as a team. I specifically have to give Miss Audrey her flowers. She was so very attentive and kind to my uncle, who needed assistance with ordering. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the sides (crispy potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and green bean tomato salad) tasted better than some of the more upscale spots in NYC. Our jaws dropped when we tried the crullers, and we ended up coming back the next morning for breakfast. The coffee is fantastic too, and the vibe of the establishment is both cozy and clean. The line often goes out the door (although it does move quickly). The crullers are a must-try!“

“The pastries, both savory and sweet, are absolutely delicious. Particularly noticed how the baklava manages to be coated in honey without making the sweetness overpowering. On top of that, the person behind the counter was so kind and provided a recommendation as it was our first time in. Overall an amazing neighborhood spot that still fully welcomes newcomers, and some of the best pastries you’ll find anywhere. Not to mention truly shockingly affordable (we paid $11 for two savory and two sweet treats). Highly recommend to all.“

“Best Babka by far in Brooklyn! I’ve had them all, and Yard Sale truly rises above the rest. It’s hard to find this quality level anymore. Is so far superior to what you’d find at Zabars. A wonderful neighborhood treasure. Go! You won’t be sorry.“

“I get excited to bring friends here so I can see their faces once they bite a kolache! Every time I have one I think about how crazy good the dough is, no clue how they do it. The owners (I’m assuming) are the kindest ever. So consistently bright and welcoming, thank you!“

“I finally visited Radio Bakery after watching two documentaries about them back-to-back. When a new food spot is hyped up, it often doesn’t live up to expectations—but Radio Bakery truly delivered. The long line was daunting (I usually don’t wait in line for food), but I’m so glad I did because it was absolutely worth it.
I tried the tomato focaccia, sausage and chive focaccia, pistachio croissant & chocolate croissant, each one was incredible. It felt like a little slice of food paradise. I’ll definitely be stopping by again before leaving NYC!“

“COME FOR THE EGG TARTS! I’ve grown up eating all kinds of egg tarts and these are by far one of the top contenders for best egg tarts. They have a nice light crust but with a dense thick soft custard-like egg filling. For whatever reason they taste a bit bland coming directly out of the oven as you burn your mouth trying to eat it fresh, but once it cools down a little you can taste all the flavours so much better. So be patient and let it cool.
I came in the winter time (Feb) around 1pm and they just had a large batch coming out of the oven. I tried coming here in the summer prior and was told there was a 45 min wait just for egg tarts. It gets very busy here and people buy the egg tarts in BOXES! Dude in-front of me ordered 4 boxes as soon as they came out. I’m just glad they make huge batches at a time.“

“As you walk in, you are greeted with the most wonderful smells of pastries and chocolate. I know they are known for their babka and after seeing the fresh baked babka loaves in person, I can see why. They looked heavenly and smelled amazing. I told the owner I'll take a nice sized chunk and figured the old measuring with the fingers to describe my preference worked. I ended up with about a 3/4 lb chunk of babka that will last me for at least 2 days. They also price this by the weight and my piece was around $10 which I think is pretty reasonable!
The owner was also super friendly, and even gave me a small piece of the babka trim off the piece I bought on the house, which was the best little slice of babka I have ever had! It's pretty rich in a good way so I didn't even start to tackle the piece of babka I bought until later in the day. You get the ooey gooey chocolate mixed with the softness of the bread which makes for such a delicious experience. It would probably also go really well with a glass of milk! They had a bunch of different other baked goods I wish I would've tried but maybe next time! The city is lucky to have a spot like this, and I appreciate that the owner is also involved as it makes it feel more authentic and genuine.“

“The nonprofit I work for booked this venue for a staffing event and it couldn't have been any better. Rachel and the team were extremely professional. Communication was easy and kind, team was extremely flexible and sweet and the event went just as planned thanks to the Farm to People team! Looking forward to booking with them again for my next event.“

“Very good nice clean store, fresh, used to be affordable, and have price tags on every item, now there's no more prices on any of the items so when you show up to the register you get charged like $6 for a donut. But otherwise good food“

“10/10 on all fronts. Great selection of items for purchase, a lovely staff and the best heros in Brooklyn. I’m not kidding, the cutlets just by themselves have actual seasoning and are so good. Sandwich creations are always perfectly balanced Great desserts and just a great neighborhood friendliness that is so missed in this area. Will always return.“

“Mr. C's bakery always has something fresh and warm coming out of the oven. I usually buy loaves of hard-dough bread, which come in either regular wheat or whole wheat. Sometimes, there may be a line, but it moves relatively quickly. Parking in this area is next to zero unless you can snag a metered spot on Church Avenue or Utica Avenue. Overall, their baked goods and Caribbean treats are great, and the prices are decent.

“After a good nice walk in the neighborhood looking at the brownstones found this cute little bakery and I had to try it. Got the almond croissants which were pretty good! The perfect balance of sweet and crispness to it. I found it interesting that it had a very little amount almond paste, though it didn’t matter to the joyness in my mouth. The mini chocolate babka were equally good.“

“Amy makes an absolutely exquisite wedding cake! We were floored by how stunningly beautiful it was, with fresh flowers that matched our wedding day blooms. The cake itself was delicious – highly recommend the vanilla with fresh berries and cream. Amy is also super lovely and easy to work with, and even went to pick up the flowers from our florist the day before the wedding! All in all, can’t recommend Luckybird more!“

“I love donuts so much and I’d say I’m a fair judge on a good donut. Oh! My! These? 5/5. 10/10. SUGARY CLOUD POCKETS. So delicious. Thank god they aren’t in my neighborhood or I’d need to be rolled out my front door in a few weeks. Consider these in my top favorite vegan treats. Birthday? Here. Bad day? Here. Good day? Here. A day? Here. I wish I snapped a photo of the two I got but I devoured them shamelessly. ** they are small… so I would be warned. They aren’t traditional donut size.** Can’t wait to return!!!! #Veganuary“

“An absolutely beautiful bakery w/the best baklava that you will have anywhere in New York City. You can tell just from walking in they take such care and delicacy w/their delicacies, just taking one bite of that baklava had me transcending, much less how absolutely lovely the people inside were, making sure that I felt well taken care of while at the same time, ensuring a hospitable experience. No notes absolutely amazing, must recommend.“
