“We decided to check out this bar while staying in the area over the weekend and didn’t know what to expect but were blown away!

Amazing decor, great ambiance, it was packed and lively on a Saturday night around 10pm in contrast to the quiet streets of downtown brooklyn. We absolutely loved the Raspberry Shrub drink - the white vinegar added a little bit of a sour kick and made the cocktail one of the most memorable we’ve had. Super unique menu and fun food items. Great service and vibes. We’ll be back!“

“We had a cute date night at this place, but it fell short of our expectations. We were excited after reading the glowing reviews, but the service was disappointing. Given the limited seating and the small number of guests, we expected more attention and guidance on the menu. However, the menu was not extensive, so we didn’t receive a comprehensive overview of the dishes.

Despite these shortcomings, the food was delicious. Each dish was unique, and the flavors and presentation were perfect. This is a seafood restaurant, so be prepared for a variety of dishes, some of which are served raw.

overall, we would rate a four out of five given the shortcomings in the service.“

“Really enjoyed the shashuka and challah bread. The shakshuka had fantastic flavor and was one of the best I've ever had.
I liked the falafel which comes on a bed of tahini. The falafel were not dry and had good flavor. The tzatziki was a bit salty.
They have full bar and limited beer on draft. Prices were fair for location and quality.
Prices were mezze items ($9 each), shakshuka ($21) and a beer ($9), this is fair pricing. Chill environment overall.
Service was good. They have indoor or outdoor seating. The design inside is very interesting. Bathroom was clean.
I would recommend and will be back.“

“A cocktail-forward spot, but the food keeps pace. Caught in that limbo between lunch and dinner I stopped in for a quick bite and drink. Positive vibes all around and a sense that everyone was exactly where they wanted to be.

They have an extensive drink menu with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic options. The mezcal gimlet was smoky yet slightly sweet with cucumber adding a fresh lift. The jasmine and cucumber fizz was light and floral. For food, I kept things on the lighter side with the hamachi crudo and caesar salad. The crudo impressed—it was surprisingly delicate and finished with a touch of smoked salt. The caesar was classic crisp romaine, just enough dressing to coat without drowning, with crunch scattered on top.

The place itself is versatile—date night, post-work drinks, catching up with an old friend, it fits the mood. Next time, I’ll arrive hungry with no dinner plans in sight.“

I do wish that the venue was clear about the music starting 2 hours after the doors opened, because I would’ve arrived a bit later, but the show was great. I got a whiskey sour inside and it was delicious, as well as a steak tostada from the taco truck in the backyard. It hit the spot and I wish I had another, two days later. Seriously every 3rd person orders those pancakes. They also have a great Mocha and black kale salad. If you're not in the mood for sweet fair try the moroccan scramble which is perfect for something light but filling. I got the BLAT on my first visit and it was also good. “Like most NYC restaurants, they really pack you in here. I was at a two top that was about a foot away from the next two top. We could hear our neighbors entire conversation but sometimes couldn't hear each other across the table. That said, the interior is light filled and airy feeling with its high ceilings. So a mixed bag on ambience. I got the shakshuka for brunch and it was very salty. There wasn't a ton of harissa flavor or other flavor besides the overwhelming saltiness. The eggs were a touch runny as well. My guest got sides of yogurt and sausage. She said the yogurt was very runny but taste was good. The sausage tasted homemade and had a nice and interesting spice balance. Not the best brunch spot I've tried but it wasn't bad either. If it's not busy, it'd probably be a good local option though I wouldn't travel for it.“

The live DJ was so good and we shazamed so many songs that he played off of the records.
Such a great date night spot for the atmosphere and the food was amazing. Small menu but every single thing on it was amazing.
The wine was tasty, the drinks different but exciting. Would recommend the sole e vento white wine, the coa de jima drink, and the cold sesame noodles specifically.

If you do sneak in 😂 you will find friendly people serving OUTSTANDING food (small, careful menu) in a house that Jazz built.

Jazz folks this is the real deal. Everyone else should just come and enjoy the magic of live music.

Pro tip: come early for a seat for the 1st set or arrive late to get a seat by the 2nd set (most likely).

Vegetarian options: Small menu so check beforehand. My 2 vegetarians were fine.
