“Baby Blues Luncheonette definitely lives up to the hype. When we arrived, it was already pretty crowded, and for good reason. They don’t take reservations, so be prepared to wait especially on a Sunday around 11:30 a.m. like we did. We ended up waiting about two hours, but they do send you a notification when your table’s ready, and they also show you how many parties are ahead of you, which makes the wait feel a bit more manageable.
The place itself is small, and tables are pretty close together, but it wasn’t an issue for us. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate, and the prices are very reasonable. My partner got the “Plato’s Plate,” and I went for the “Chicken Club.” Both were fantastic. My partner gave her dish a 9/10, and I’d give mine the same rating. The price-to-quality ratio was excellent, and we had no complaints. The only small note from my partner was that the bacon on her plate was a bit greasy, but it wasn’t a big deal.
We also shared a side of “Greek Potatoes and Tzatziki.” That dish was another 9/10. The only downside was that there wasn’t quite enough tzatziki for all the potatoes, so I’d recommend asking for extra on the side if you order it. No real issue though, just a small suggestion. We had an “Iced Coffee” and a “Regular Coffee” with our meal, and both were spot on.
One more thing: we were treated to a complimentary dish of fresh strawberries and blueberries with whipped cream (as you can see in the photo I included). We’re not sure what it was called, but it was light, refreshing, and delicious. Easily a 10/10, and I’d highly recommend it if you get the chance.
The service was also excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and even the hostess deserves a shoutout. We arrived a bit late for our seating time, but she was understanding and still got us a table despite it being so busy. Really appreciated that.
The bill was pretty reasonable for everything we got, and I left a $15 tip because of the great service and the complimentary fruit bowl.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience, great food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. The wait time can be long (ours was 2 hours), but it’s totally worth it when you consider the quality of the food and the prices. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend you give it a try too!
Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps!“

“Randomly found this hidden gem & I seriously wanted to gatekeep. But they deserve their flowers fr!! I'm obsessed with their pancakes in the griddle stack combo!! And the smash browns???? CHEF'S KISS. I'm definitely going to start coming here more regularly. I love me a lil crispy crunchy moment and you get all of that and more with the smash browns. Cause they fry the smash browns with peppers. Then it's topped with tomatoes and green onions. Everything I've ever wanted in a bite! Seasonal depression? WHERE? Good Ol Days Diner healed my soul baby lmao“

“Amazing food, Sal’s never disappoints. Been coming for years to this black-owned halal restaurant, after my dad first introduced me, and I have never had a bad experience. Sal and Mohamed are very sweet and helpful — will always be a local staple!“

“A quiet little luncheonette with plenty of seating. The place had its interior recently done over and is pleasing to the eye. This place has been in business by the same owner for over 30 years now, and whether it's breakfast or lunch you won't be disappointed. Moderately priced!!“

“This is one of those hidden gems that only locals know about. I was looking for a diner style place to eat, and this came up. And we decided to give it a try and boy, was I not disappointed. It definitely brings you back to like the nineties with the décor and style. However, the service and the food were on point. Our food and our service were fast and delicious.“

“Came in on a Tuesday morning and was treated to a delicious breakfast. The eggs benedict were fantastic and the challah french toast was outstanding. What really made Little Purity stand out was the stupendous family staff - warm, friendly, kind, and funny too! Had very enjoyable conversation with our servers, and you can tell that they put care into all of their interactions. My partner left her hat inside, and he ran out after us to return it! During that time someone on the street called out to him and our server knew him by name - this further goes to show that these people truly care about their customers and their neighborhood. Loved supporting these folks, highly recommend!“

“Everything you'd expect from a diner. Staff knows the clientele. Food comes out fast. And if there is a problem, someone has eyes on it and comes to help right away.
Got pancakes and waffles my boys loved.
Got a wrap I enjoyed.
My partner got a salad. The protein (chicken kebabs) was delicious though wished there was a different greens option to pair with it. Spinach or romaine or even mixed seasonal greens.
Anyway worth a visit if you are craving a solid diner experience.
Kid-friendliness: My kids were a bit wild but the staff was helpful and understanding.
Tall booths keep grumpy side eyes from other customers away.
Wheelchair accessibility: No steps. And booths with an open side. Seems pretty wheelchair friendly.“

“I've had burgers from here twice, both were great! The brewed iced tea is good. The coffee and flan are great. Just be aware, it's cash only.
Update: Oh, my goodness, the meatloaf sandwich! This is not your grandma's meatloaf. If it is your grandma's meatloaf why are you thinking about eating out? Go see Grandma! Otherwise, get in here! No photos, I ate too fast!“

“I have been coming to George's for many years now whether it is for dine-in or take-out. I have always gotten fantastic service and great food. The staff is warm, welcoming and treat every customer with the utmost respect. The restaurant itself is very clean, even before our current COVID situation. They take this pandemic very seriously and they make sure that they follow all the protocols suggested by the CDC and our State Government. They have been in business for over 60 years and I hope that this institution will be around for another 60+ years. #supportlocal“

“I had such a great experience at 7th Ave Park Slope Diner! The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. The employees were so well-mannered, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. It’s rare to find that kind of genuine hospitality these days, and it made the meal even better.
I’ll definitely be coming back soon — this place has officially become one of my favorite spots in Park Slope!“

“Oh my goodness.... I've been missing out for too long. I'm just blocks away and I just found this little gem. Food is good & tasty. I ordered the 2 eggs & Corned Beef Hash platter & pancakes & sausages. Also, complimentary coffee/tea for dine in breakfast platters. The server is very efficient as she takes care of dine in guests and carry-out orders all by herself. I will definitely return to try other dishes. Likewise, I highly recommend that you support this small business if you're in the area.“

“Just left here for a quick and easy Sunday brunch. Don’t listen to the weird reviews; this is a very solid spot. Not a Bedford Ave, line-out-the-door-for-a-waffle-photo place. Just a great neighborhood diner that is truly and honestly retro in everything from the wood paneling to the $11.50 breakfast. It’s lovely.“

“Oh my this cute little diner was fantastic. Great place to grab a nice lunch...we went there after visiting a family member at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn hospital. I loved their crunchy onion rings and my chicken salad triple Decker ...my spouse had chicken sandwich (ask for mayo) w/fries. Overall a wonderful lunch date and food. You sit yourself. Bathrooms are clean, wait staff are professional and pleasant. First time there. If we ever get to go to the hospital...we will stop by again. Parking is terrible... well it's NY... parking in NY sucks“

“It's very small but the service is really fast and the seating by the door is pleasant. The waiter was friendly and the food came quickly. My partner and I each got the #2 breakfast for a total of $25.60 which for Brooklyn diners is really reasonable. Their coffee is surprisingly good. I should have come to this place years ago.“

“It’s just mind blowing that people here try to downgrade this restaurant meanwhile they had just recently opened. Is it possible maybe bc the old owners are quite bitter they had to close down due to them being caught for not selling kosher? Maybe. Ever since this restaurant opened they had the DOH be called various times, even have people giving them horrible reviews lol. I have known these new owners for years being said they have a deli store and it’s good! The food here is amazing, customer service is at 100! Workers are so pleasant and welcoming plus the place is CLEAN !
If anyone is hesitant in going here, don’t. This place is pretty good !“

“Came with my family of 5 and 4 kids on our way to Delaware. We came for breakfast and ordered 5 over easy that comes with home fries and buttered toast. I was disappointed that it did not come with orange juice and coffee. The waitress was nice enough to let the cook know to clean the griddle as our food cannot come in contact with any type of meat. This could be a reason why it took a bit of a long time for our food to come out. The food was fresh and reasonable portions. Nothing beyond expected so we will not return. But if you’re looking for a regular diner experience this will do. I often compare all my experiences to a diner in Binghamton. The Binghampton diner had very reasonable prices with amazing portion of food! This everything else comes short of that experience.
Bill: there is tax and gratuity is automatically added. There are two charges if paying by cash or card.“

“The food was sooo good! I got a greek spinach pie platter. The fries were so delicious, the salad was well dressed and flavorful, and the pie was flaky just how I like it! The service was great too, our waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and our food arrived fairly quickly. The atmosphere was also great, very cozy. They have a HUGE menu for a very reasonable price, I would HIGHLY recommend it!“

“My favorite diner hands down. I moved to Staten Island a few years ago, but still cross the bridge when I want the best French toast. I visit at least once a week. Staff is friendly and very welcoming. I’m mostly there on Saturdays, and Catherine is always my server. Love her! I’ll be going back to work in that neighborhood soon (DOE), so I’ll definitely treat myself to lunch there as well😋.“
