“There's a reason this place has been in business for over 100 years. Worth the trip to Red Hook just to eat a sandwich. Trust me and take my word for it, you will not find a better sandwich anywhere in New York City, Philadelphia, or probably even the whole East Coast. Again, worth a special trip. ?“

“The pastrami is on the leaner and brineier side but is still so delicious. I would say the bagel with salmon is the next best thing after the pastrami, where you an really taste the flavors of the salmon without the salt and smokieness overpowering the tastes of the bagel and cream cheese. The place is welcoming with a vibrant interior, making it feel like an old deli. The staff is very friendly and asks questions about your order to make sure its to your liking. Overall the place is real good but the price is a little steep for the amount of food that you get.“

Was sitting in traffic on the Belt and asked google to find me a nearby deli...Jimmy's Famous pops up...less that 5 mins away....hell yeah....ordered a turkey hero with provolone....I'm a Chef by profession...this was by far the BEST Turkey Hero I've ever had. PERFECT. Owner was awesome too. We talked baseball...he had recently gone to Fenway...I had recently returned from Los Angeles and we talked Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, Boston. Personally I love the Parisian sandwich. Bread is always on point (which is increasingly hard to find), and the sandwich is simple yet incredibly flavorful, which I often put down to the quality of ingredients.

“Amazing food and hidden gem near Brooklyn's Chinatown. You just try their egg and shrimp with the chili sauce. (I'm not sure what the real name of this dish is.) Most of the foods are out on display so that you can just grab them and pay. The seating area is pretty cramped.“

“We hit up Katz’s Deli, and the sandwich? Fire. The guy making it was super cool and did a great job. But the people at the register? Not so much.

I had already tipped the guy who made my sandwich, but honestly, in the U.S., they’re always doing the most when it comes to tips. Like, you barely do anything and still expect 20% for some half-hearted service.

That being said, the pastrami sandwich was insane—definitely worth trying. Yeah, it’s $30, but it’s huge, so splitting it between two people works perfectly.
