“We came here for Tapas Tuesday and it was delicious!! The staff was amazing and there was even an artist painting a mural on the wall during dinner which was such a cool experience. All the tapas we tried were incredible but I highly recommend the croquettes! The orange wine they had was very good. Can’t recommend this place enough! They also do paella on weekends which I will definitely be going back for to try.“

“I got takeout the other night—braised beef & noods, eastern cukes, congee and the cabbage special. I have no words. Well, I guess I do—happy dance mouth explosions. The cukes even got better as a pickled snack the next day. The staff was kind and fun, and I had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who deserves 5 stars as a human. Anyone who skips this place while in Dumbo should reconsider their life choices.“

“Try their Pabellon Arepa! You will forget your name and lose your mind. It is a masterpiece, chef-d'oeuvre. Insanely delicious. And don’t leave it unattended on the table! I am from upstate New York. We have hundreds of Mexican restaurants up there and none of them can make Arepa even close to La Napa’s.“

“The food here is absolutely phenomenal. There is so much variety on the menu, and every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. Each plate that came out was a 10/10, and honestly, I didn’t even know where to start because everything looked and smelled incredible. You can truly taste the authenticity in every bite, and it felt like a real culinary journey through Turkey. The service elevated the experience even more. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel like honored guests rather than just customers. The hospitality, energy, and attention to detail created an inviting and memorable experience from start to finish. This is more than just a meal—it’s an experience.“

“The food was so delicious and served to us by the nicest people.
I’ve never had these dishes before and I’m guessing they had the presentation and flavor, which held true to its origins.
I feel lucky that my friends knew about this place.
(A special thank you to the chef, who was eminently compassionate about my friend’s dietary needs.)“

“With Others has been my favorite wine bar in NYC for quite some time. I love stopping in with a few friends for a glass or bottle of wine and some snacks, or booking their Sunday wine school for a fun weekend adventure. I hosted a birthday party in the backyard a few weeks ago. Everything was perfectly handled! Lauren and the staff helped me pre-order wine and food and kept everything running smoothly. Would highly recommend for parties!“

“One of the rare bastions of what NYC was and still holding strong by people like Richard. I’m only annoyed I just discovered it in the last year. I was told it’s been ten years since they opened. Get there early and be prepared to wait. Worth the wait. I have yet to have had a bad night and I now try to make it often.“

“I had a really thoughtful and lovely experience here. We were celebrating a birthday and the team - starting with the door guy and then to the lead/captain, whatever they call it. They made sure to help us out in any way possible and I was fully ready to have a typical ny experience, where they just have no patience for groups. Thank you for all of your true and genuine hospitality! <3“

“The food at Djondjon is spot on.... This restaurant is a jewel. The food is amazing, and the hospitality is off the chart. There is free jazz often enough. The quality far surpasses the price. I love their pasta, their fish and their goats which come in various varieties. Their appetizers are yummy. I will continue to patronize this place. I had my Cabrit boukannen ( grilled goat) and it really pleased my taste buds.“
“One of my favorite bars in the neighborhood. Their fries are 💯 must haves! Just hosted my birthday there yesterday and had the best birthday party ever ✨ everyone had such a great time and The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Josh was so patient and great at planning the food and drinks with me prior it made everything easy. They also have a nice outdoor space in the back.

“We had my daughter's 16 birthday at Dar in Greenpoint. It's a favorite takout spot for us (and occasional dine in spot). It was my girl's choice and it was an EXCELLENT one. The service is wonderful. Everyone was so sweet to us, and there were 18 of us! The food was not a disappointment- fresh, delicious and plentiful. Thank you for such a memorable evening!“

“Oysters were so fresh and the service was good! They had a happy hour for $11 of a glass of wine and $20 of a choice of an appetizer with a glass of wine. I thought the food was a reasonable price and I would definitely come again. The atmosphere is great too, when we came it was still empty, but when it hit 6:30 there were more people.“

“This is my go to after work spot during the week to catch up with friends. Happy Hour is usually until 7pm and drink cocktails cost approx. $10. The bartenders are more like mixologists as the quality of drinks is far better than your average bar. Truffle fries are great, recommend.“

“Wonderful experience at this bar last night. It has a beautiful and intimate atmosphere, with great staff, food and drink. “Some of the best ramen I have had in the neighborhood.
We tried the kimchi (10/10) and the tots. My only complaint about the tots was that they needed more sauce, we asked for a side of Mayo and added their house made hot sauce and it was incredible!
Curry ramen and tan tan ramen were incredible. Left full and very satisfied with our meal.“

“I called six different places after work, trying to find a place that was still open to have dinner- before going home after a very long 16 hour day. This place was still open, and the tacos were so amazing. The service was great and the food was extremely reasonably priced! I didn’t even care what kind of day I had, because it ended with great food and a great drink.“

“We had such a lovely night here on Halloween. I wasn't sure if we'd find a seat, but Victoria managed to accommodate us not only once but a second time when friends showed up and we moved to a larger table.
It's so pretty inside, the food was very good, and the drinks excellent. More high praise for Victoria: toward the end of the night she made a couple of us specialty cocktails that she came up with on the spot. Mine was absolutely delicious--gin with spicy peppercorn syrup and something that made it a beautiful red color.“
“good service and good selection. many different drinks(not just beer), didn't try the food though.“

“I’ve been to this lovely bar a few times and every time it was a great experience! However last night when we walked in at 11:15pm, we were told that they had already made the last call for drinks. Although the bar officially closes at midnight on Thursdays, we were refused service. I understand the barman’s desire to go home earlier but as a customer I felt unwelcome.“

“From the moment I sat down, the bartender Jimi set the tone for an unforgettable night. His service was nothing short of exceptional—swift, attentive, and effortlessly charismatic. Each drink was crafted with precision and flair, proving he’s not just mixing cocktails, he’s curating an experience. While waiting for my drinks, the energy never dipped; his warmth and quick wit made the bar feel alive. For a first-time visit, he made it feel like I’d been a regular for years. A true master of his craft and the heartbeat of the bar. I’ll be back to see you again Jimi.“

“After searching for an appropriate venue for three old childhood friends to rest their weary bodies from eight hours of walking and enjoy a cocktail, we came upon this gem of a place. We each had a drink, but, I was the only one who got a snack. Two magnificent bruschettas hit the spot. I hope I can find this place again on my next walk over the Bridge!“

“Best Persian food in Brooklyn. Perhaps the best Persian food in all of New York or beyond. Thanks — we will be back!
——————
You know a restaurant is excellent when all you’ve had is their artisanal bread served with homemade butter, homemade yogurt turned into a dip, and homemade mortadella—yes, mortadella— and you’re thinking, “wow, I could eat just this, served with a bottle of wine…. I’d be more than satisfied.” And, also at this point thinking “when am I going to come back?”
Not your typical kebab affair. It’s better. I promise. I was introduced to a world of Persian food I’ve never had at a restaurant before at a level of quality that is reserved for fine dining establishments.
This is an elevated dining experience that is meant to be shared. And yes, there is a vibe too. Attention to detail with every dish that the chef explained to me is painstakingly made from scratch —yogurts, marinades, preparation taking days, with ingredients sourced locally. Warm, knowledgeable staff to boot, too.
The drink menu is legit. Think Persian twists on classic drinks—-but executed well, where other twists often fail. The best espresso martini in Williamsburg. Perhaps the city. My wife said the best she’s ever had.“
