“My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

“It was my first time going to Kingston Bakery I walked I was greated with a smile by staff customer service means a lot to me I'm not a meat eater but I ordered 2 veggie patties I was blown away the crust it was so fresh I don't care for spicy but the veggies patty had just enough kick and and the veggies were tasty that was the best patty I have EVER eaten then I order the cinnamon bun not 2 sweet but just enough sweet to it with cinnamon raisins it's was delicious I will definitely go back again 5 stars from me“

Stumbled upon Buttercup Bake Shop and they were so awesome! Totally worked with me and delivered the cupcakes with NO hassle. “Stopped by Ceremonia this morning and grabbed their biscuit sandwich (no bacon) for breakfast. It came out in just a few minutes, and the staff was really kind and welcoming. The sandwich itself was epic. It was huge, with a runny sunny-side egg that made it feel dramatic and so satisfying. I was hoping for decaf coffee, but they only had tea, so I skipped the drink this time. Took my sandwich over to McCarren for a little picnic, which was the perfect way to start the morning. I tried the dulce de leche with coconut and wow… it was love at first bite. Sweet but not overwhelming, with the perfect chewy texture. It’s huge too — definitely shareable, but honestly, you’ll want it all for yourself.

The vibe is cozy, the staff is fast and friendly, and even with the line, it’s worth every minute. If you’re around Central Park or the Upper East Side, don’t leave without grabbing one. Trust me — once you taste it, you’ll never look at cookies the same way again. 🍪✨“

“Interior/outside terrace: the interior is very functional, very few inside seating options. But it’s not like a comfy café. They do have a small outside seating area, which is nice, nothing special, but if you get a table there, you can enjoy your croissants in the sun.

Food quality/price: good selection of savoury & sweet food, very delicious. I got an earl grey bun & a pistachio croissant. Both very delicious, like out of another world. Loved them. I found their food to be quite expensive.
Suggestion: why not making tiny versions of the different treats (to a smaller price as well of course), so solo-visitors can try more delicious treats?

But there is no additional sugar added and it's totally clean. I have also had the Pistachio and Cashew Whips - both addictive. Their baked goods are equally excellent - it's hard to find vegan, GF dessert that's also really good. Dying to have a panini but it's always sold out. It's run by two women - sisters - who manage the crowds well. It's hard when you have a throng of hungry, impatient New Yorkers but being there feels homey and cozy. They deserve all the credit they're getting. I hope they expand.“
