“Just had food delivered from Popeyes from Uber eats one of the entrées were missing called Uber they helped us out wonderful call Popeyes and they did nothing after two phone calls their answer was the Uber driver must’ve took it very classy and hung up on us“

“Love Yaroa, hate driving to the city. The best Yaroa wasn’t in the city though, it’s a 15 min drive from me at bueno deli 2 🩷 just like they make them in the DR :)

“Moving from Brooklyn—with tons of food options—to Suffolk Long Island, where Caribbean food spots are few and far between, I was happy to find Caribbean Spot 112. It quickly became my go-to.

My favorite dishes are the Rasta pasta with oxtails, rice and peas with oxtails, and rice and peas with curry goat. Recently, I had the chance to try their sweet chili chicken wings—so good! The food is consistently flavorful and satisfying.

I’m giving 4 stars mainly because of the service.
Please be aware of the oil sitting on top of the gravy, I wouldn’t have to remind the server not to add it on top of my food while I ask for gravy. While the food is great, the customer service could be more welcoming and attentive. A warm smile or friendly energy goes a long way, especially when the food is already carrying the experience.

We had the short rib special, the sea bass and the swordfish entrees and they were delicious! The mussels in white sauce to start and the (clearly) homemade peanut butter and chocolate & carrot cake desserts were phenomenal. Our waitress Jaimie was the BEST-so sweet and welcoming-all of her recommendations from cocktails to entrees to dessert were spot on. We can’t wait to come back!“

“I can not believe that this restaurant has been here on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village for over 20 years and I never ate there!!! This is my new Favorite place to eat. The food was exceptional and good size portions. The pita bread they put out on the table was so delicious I could have made that my meal. The service was extremely attentive and so personable. The Owner came around greeting everyone and made us feel like we were all family having dinner together. I am looking forward to my next visit.“

And here is a secret...It was affordable. The food was incredible and plentiful. Great Chefs. Another secret...add the raw oyster station. We went with 100% out of doors and it was spectacular. Fits 100 easily. Places for shade and sun and a great gazebo for the ceremony. We can't recommend it more. We did our wedding but this could have been a 50th birthday just as easily. Another secret is bring your own acoustic player for the music. We had a friend play and it really set the mood for the day. “Had the pleasure of choosing Tara Inn for lunch today, every establishment can learn a lesson from the customer service that my friend and I experienced. Upon walking in we were greeted by Peter, Tara’s husband and son-in-law of the founder who named the bar for his daughter 47 years ago. We told him it was our first visit and he offered us seats and welcomed us. The regulars at the bar guided us through the menu and we each had a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles for $1 per burger expecting very small burgers we were surprised to find them standard sized and deliciously prepared to medium. My friend had the fried shrimp and I had a $13 steamed lobster! Excellent! They offer daily specials and one of the gentleman at the bar told me their steaks are very good. Every staff person went out of their way to make us feel at home. A charismatic women came out from the back and introduced herself as Tara she thanked us for choosing to lunch there. Why can’t other places realize the importance of making a first time patron feel welcome. I
Had a great afternoon enjoying the excellent variety of beers that they provide on tap. The charming decor has probably changed little since the ‘70s and that adds to the vibe. If you want to go to the friendliest bar on Long Island, head over to Tara Inn.“

“Call in an order for pick up of Bistec Encebollado Combo. It was ready in about 10 minutes. It was 2 pieces steak, sautéed onions, side salad, guacamole and tortillas served with rice and beans. “My husband and I have been eating here pretty much once a week for almost 20 years. We usually get take out and create our own in home date night. By far the freshest and most delicious sushi we’ve ever had. Period. They keep the menu very clean, as opposed to other places we’ve tried where everything is caked in sauce and all just taste the same. You will not be disappointed.

Also, the manager is a real gentleman, and he also made us feel comfortable and special. The downstairs and our group upstairs. She was very pleasant, professional, and did a great job handling everything herself. The food was so good. “Had the pleasure of eating at the Greenport location. Two of my HS girlfriends and myself on moderately busy on Sunday (1012/24) at about 5:30. A young waiter named Brian was our server. We first ordered drinks, mine was the margarita with the pomegranate swirl. So delicious!! Refreshing and frosty! We shared the Mexican Street corn and the three dips with chips, which were freshly made. So fabulous! So tasty. The salsa, guacamole and queso were just perfect, each different but delicious!! The corn was sweet and flavorful. I had three tacos in hard shells. Fried chicken, fried shrimp and the marinated steak. Each one was different and very fresh. My one friend, is a vegetarian and the other is gluten intolerant BUT! They each found many yummy choices! I’ve been trying to get to this restaurant for several years, and finally the planets aligned! Brian was well trained, patient and informative with a good humor. The interior is bright, festive and clean. So much food, I could not finish all of it. And!! the restroom was clean! You should be very proud of this business! We will be back! Thank you!!“

“We had an engagement party here recently. Other than a few hiccups that happened, like the passed hors d'oeuvre ended at an hour when we were told it would go on until people stopped taking them, everth8ng else was well done. Food was good and the room was perfect for the 110 people we had there. Overall a nice place to have a function.“
