“My Wife and I were looking for a new spot to go to that we haven't been before. We think we found it. It was very quaint sat in the back corner a large party came in which made it a little less “” quiet “but nothing the restaurant could do about that, we really had a nice time and our server was extremely friendly and didn't rush us at all. We don't get out often without our kids so we wanted to take our time and have a nice night. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back.“
“My husband and I have been curious about Virgola Wine Bar since we moved to Patchogue, but never got a chance to stop in as we were unfamiliar with their hours. For my birthday this year, my husband suggested going to check it out (this was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving) and they had a Wednesday special going on which was half off wine bottles. We figured we would grab a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine and just relax. And that's exactly what we did! We tried a couple of samples of wine before landing on the Sangiovese red wine, which was absolutely delicious. We grabbed the bruschetta- Classico ($12) and three of our favorite cheeses (burrata, parmigiano reggiano, and raschera) which were reasonably priced ($8 each), and the portions that were given made that price totally worth it. Everything we ate was tasty and we couldn't even finish the cheeseboard between the two of us which we can normally do so we definitely left full and happy. We did run out of bread at one point but just we asked for more and they brought it right over. The vibe in there is very calm and relaxing. There were several people in there but everyone seemed to be unwinding and hanging out with friends so that was nice. It's dimly lit so it definitely gives those city wine bar vibes. I will definitely be bringing some of my friends to Virgola! Just need to find the right day since they have daily happy hours/promotions.Check it out for sure!“
“My friend and I frequent here for our weekly catch ups and the team is more than welcoming everytime we come. Service is fast but never rushed, accommodating to extra needs and delightful to talk to. Tonight we had Carissa who was so charming and made great recommendations for our experience. She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our crab legs and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great girls night ! Get the Cajun blend any time you do a boil, you won’t be disappointed!“
“Party of 7. 5 of us were very pleased with their food. One had to send the steak back bc it was overcooked. One was just underwhelmed. Otherwise, no complaints. Two servers shared our table - they were not overly attentive, but adequate. Overall a decent experience & would be willing to return.“
“Amazing Place, Highly Recommended!!!No other place in town has such amazing food and supports the local schools and community like Harbor Crab, Congrats on your Final Nomination for Community Support. Well Deserved.Kid-friendliness: Amazing staff always family friendly!“
“We went camping here over Labor Day weekend. Our camping game is high (meaning we have lots of gear to make it super comfy), but trying to limit our equipment knowing that we have to carry everything from the ferry to the campsite was stressful. But we did it, and it was 100% worth it! Here is what we learned:It is buggy!! Bring Picaridin spray for the body. We had 2-6 oz cans between 5 people, and we used them both for the 5 day weekend. Spray tents with Sawyer insect repellent to keep the bugs away from the tents. If you have, bring a cart. It is quite a hike with your gear from ferry to campsite, and in the heat is it's not fun. You can borrow carts from the ferry station area. Ask the staff.Bring bungee chords to keep all your equipment in place on the cartsThere is camp store with all necessary supplies, but it is expensive. If you can organize and bring everything from mainland, it will be cheaper. There is boardwalk everywhere. Unless you are wilderness camping on the beach, you won't have to drag anything through sand (phew!!)Choosing a campsite: The map on the reserve america is not clear. Some campsites are two in an alcove area. If you are a group of two sites, you need to pick correctly. Site 10 is solo site. 11/12, 9/8, 7/6 are alcove, the others are in row next to each other. Unlike other campgrounds we have been to, these sites are on the smaller side. In our 11/12 site we luckily picked an alcove area, we had two sleeping tents and bug tent. There is a restaurant at the marina which becomes a disco on the weekend. The food is pretty good, cocktails are not bad!Beach is walking distance from the tents with a lifeguardLots of birds, and very chatty gray catbirds (bring ear plugs! I kid you not! One was right outside our tent at 5 am!!)It seems that a lot of families come back every year on the same weekend, and it felt like close community.National Parks have lots of activities during the day. On Monday they had a canoeing trip. You had to sign up the day of the trip to get a spot.Highly recommend, and we will make it an annual trip!I am not sure the glamping sites are worth the price but we have all camping gear. I can't speak of their comfort.“
“Packed house on a Friday night and service was amazing. There was only one waitress on staff and one bar tender. They consistently had 15 plus at the bar and 10 tables. They worked seamlessly together and we never waited for anything. Amazing staff and great food. Perfect atmosphere for 35 plus crowd.“
“I had my daughter-in-law’s baby shower at Lombardi’s on the Bay. Not only was she coming from Colorado but we had a few out of town guests as well. I don’t think anyone left w/o complimenting the amazing atmosphere Including the beautiful, bright room and Peaceful water-view, the delicious food and the impeccable service. Will, the madre de did everything to make sure I was satisfied and comfortable. The staff did not disappoint! Chris & Louis went above and beyond to be sure nobody waited too long for anything. I’ve visited this restaurant before but now I will be sure to recommend it to anyone who wants an impressive, successful event. They definitely made my guests and myself feel confident in saying “I’ll be back “. Thanks again to Will, Chris, and Louis!!! Very happy, Paulette Ciavarelli“
“After a nice sauna session a few doors down, we stopped in here for a light dinner. Did not disappoint! Lots of parking in the back, and this place is among several other places on the corner of Ocean and Main. It was pretty full, but we got seated in a cozy spot up front. Immediately drawn to the octopus salad, but also tried the tuna wrap. A half dozen oysters while wating. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the wrap was nice and packed. This might become a regular after-sauna spot. Water glasses were filled often, and the service was nice and cheerful.“
