“Came here on a casual night drive and by dinner time we didn't know where to stop to eat. We were driving on the 27A and looking for places for dinner and we came across this place with very good ratings. Food is very good and well made. The Miso soup was not overly salted as some other Japanese places I've been. The décor is very typical of Japanese as it has these semi private booths which I have never seen before in any Japanese restaurants. Really liked this place and service was attentive. Even though it's a bit far from where I live I will def stop by when I am near this establishment.“

“After a nice sauna session a few doors down, we stopped in here for a light dinner. Did not disappoint! Lots of parking in the back, and this place is among several other places on the corner of Ocean and Main. It was pretty full, but we got seated in a cozy spot up front. Immediately drawn to the octopus salad, but also tried the tuna wrap. A half dozen oysters while wating. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the wrap was nice and packed. This might become a regular after-sauna spot. Water glasses were filled often, and the service was nice and cheerful.“

“Last night we had a delectable dinner at Basil. The chilien sea bass jumped from the sea in my plate. The seasoning was perfect. The rice was cooked to perfection. The cuisine is light and tasty. My husband had the beef skewers which he enjoyed and he is very difficult to please. Desert got a high mark with the baklava and the chocolate bread pudding which you should not miss. The service was perfect. The ambiance was noisy and bubbly. We will definitely return to Basil for its excellent table.“

“I've lived in the area for years and never been inside this place until two weeks ago. The inside of the establishment has this classy old-school charm about it. It was a tiny bit confusing because they had the podium in the front by the door and the sign on it said to wait there I noticed everybody walked in anyway so I just went. Maybe they can hide that somewhere else until it's that time of the night or something? Anyway, one of my favorites slices is the grandma slice and I had to try theirs because it was suggested over and over to me by many people. So after finally trying one slice, I ended up buying a whole pie and taking it home. Yes, it's a tiny bit expensive in comparison to the other places locally but the quality of pie is worth the extra money. If you want to be taken back in time and enjoy a great slice then come here.“

We found out several places actually started charging more and providing less. A friend recommended A&A and we haven’t looked back. The sushi is fantastic quality and taste and they never skimp on ingredients. For larger orders they have a menu of pre-selected items that is very convenient and cost effective. Definitely worth every penny. I can’t say enough good things. “A hidden gem on Long Island. Everyone should know this place by now.Don't know where to start? Read the menu entirely, and you will know that the chowder soups are the best. Do not skip these soups. You'll want a bowl, not a cup, and even then, you'll be asking for seconds. Don't sleep on the seafood bisque either. Definitely buy some to take home.The appetizers were a bit small, but with the prices of everything these days, you get what you paid for. The crab cakes were delicious and full of crab while other places go heavy on the breading instead.We ended up having the shrimp boat, shrimp po boy, blackened catfish tacos and shrimp salad. Everything was flavorful. Big portions as well.I do believe they are closed for the month of February but I will be going back myself when it opens in March.“

“My husband and I have been curious about Virgola Wine Bar since we moved to Patchogue, but never got a chance to stop in as we were unfamiliar with their hours. For my birthday this year, my husband suggested going to check it out (this was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving) and they had a Wednesday special going on which was half off wine bottles. We figured we would grab a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine and just relax. And that's exactly what we did! We tried a couple of samples of wine before landing on the Sangiovese red wine, which was absolutely delicious. We grabbed the bruschetta- Classico ($12) and three of our favorite cheeses (burrata, parmigiano reggiano, and raschera) which were reasonably priced ($8 each), and the portions that were given made that price totally worth it. Everything we ate was tasty and we couldn't even finish the cheeseboard between the two of us which we can normally do so we definitely left full and happy. We did run out of bread at one point but just we asked for more and they brought it right over. The vibe in there is very calm and relaxing. There were several people in there but everyone seemed to be unwinding and hanging out with friends so that was nice. It's dimly lit so it definitely gives those city wine bar vibes. I will definitely be bringing some of my friends to Virgola! Just need to find the right day since they have daily happy hours/promotions.Check it out for sure!“

It was nice to finally have some more authentic ceviche after being let down at some other restaurants. We went on a Friday night and they had live music, the atmosphere was fun and energetic. Food took a bit of time to come out but I guess that means it's fresh and it was worth the wait! It was a little awkward getting seated when the restaurant was full as there is no host- you kind of walk up to the bar and put your name down, or maybe sit down at a table if it doesn't have a sign on it i guess. Maybe calling in for a reservation when it's busy is the way to go. Overall highly recommend“

Trio deserves 10 ⭐'s for both.This restaurant handles two types of food service, restaurant seating and catering for small to large parties. I've now experienced both. My most recent was a repast after a funeral. When everyone is emotional, the last thing the family needs is problems with the food service. Well, in our case, more people showed up than were originally expected. The staff at Trio didn't miss a beat. They set up additional tables in a flash and quickly had the tables set. We had buffet style dining and the selection was outstanding, with something for everyone. From soup to nuts, everything was delicious. They had fish, beef, vegetarian selections and even offered coffee and dessert. (by the way, if I had known how good the desserts would've been, I might have eaten a little less dinner.)The service is impeccable, everything is clean and fresh, the linens and tablecloths were spotless.I'd like to add that Trio is on the grounds of the Holbrook Country Club. You can grab lunch and drinks after you play, just show up and they accommodate parties of all sizes. You won't be disappointed!“

“Super fun spot. This was THE place to be every night we were here. Tuesday night, we cane for Bitchy Bingo, with drag queen Ariel Sinclair, which was hilarious. Then Wednesday, we came for "Wisdom Wednesday" with singer Victoria Wisdom, another male singer, and saxophonist, all of whom were awesome! Then Thursday, we came for a late 8:30 pm dinner and the Fire Island Follies at 9! Really entertaining. For drinks, the Mermaid Margarita hit the spot.
