This man and his business lifelong accomplice, Chef Pete are the customer based/retail version of why and how I got into food. Fred, Pete, Sous/Exec Jorge, Brandon, and yes... even Justin taught me the lines and roles of each station in a restaurant. Honey, I was green and sad and super motivated. These guys rode me like white on fkn rice. Due to that whoo-hah, I can carry my own brigade and make a killing in the raw arena. Fred was a master at his craft 60ish years ago and still is - encouraging line cooks to expound and expand 20+ years down the line. forever grateful.“

“Had the pleasure of eating at the Greenport location. Two of my HS girlfriends and myself on moderately busy on Sunday (1012/24) at about 5:30. A young waiter named Brian was our server. We first ordered drinks, mine was the margarita with the pomegranate swirl. So delicious!! Refreshing and frosty! We shared the Mexican Street corn and the three dips with chips, which were freshly made. So fabulous! So tasty. The salsa, guacamole and queso were just perfect, each different but delicious!! The corn was sweet and flavorful. I had three tacos in hard shells. Fried chicken, fried shrimp and the marinated steak. Each one was different and very fresh. My one friend, is a vegetarian and the other is gluten intolerant BUT! They each found many yummy choices! I’ve been trying to get to this restaurant for several years, and finally the planets aligned! Brian was well trained, patient and informative with a good humor. The interior is bright, festive and clean. So much food, I could not finish all of it. And!! the restroom was clean! You should be very proud of this business! We will be back! Thank you!!“

“Wow, for us to be seated party of four, to be expected on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered the swordfish and it was very good. Ordered the Keylime pie for dessert and it was not quite up to my expectations. Very creamy, but I am taste was lacking and the crust was a little overcooked that the experience was very good. I get back into the neighborhood I will stop again.“

“I want to rate this 3 stars out of 5. The food is amazing but customer service not that great. My family was in from out of state and wanted to get take out and I instantly thought about this place. my fiance got the food and came home and my order was missing the cheese on the burger. So, I unfortunately couldn't eat with my family and neither did my fiance because he had to eat his food while driving 20 minutes back to get my food fixed at the restaurant and then 20 minutes back. However, I would still recommend you guys to other people. I would just suggest checking your order before leaving“

“East End Clambake catered my daughter’s and my mother’s joint birthday party in my backyard in July. I cannot describe how amazing and wonderful they were every step of the way. We ended up renting chairs and tables as well as went with the The East End Lobster Bake package, with fried chicken (the only catered who offered this as an addition to lobster!) Patricia coordinated everything and really made it so very easy. I can’t remember the two women who came to the event along with the chef but they really out themselves, our 60 guests were truly delighted and the food was incredible. No one left hungry, that is for sure!!!! They really know how to run a smooth operation and all of the staff were so lovely to work with. They are absolutely the best!!!!“

“Yesterday we had a girls day from work and went to get some lobster rolls. OMG 😲 it was the best of the best. We had a variety of lobster tacos, fritters, shrimp and fries, Cajun lobster rolls, lobster bisque. Everything was made to order, fresh and absolutely delicious 😋 💯. Worth the trip from Hempstead, NJ, Greenlawn and Mastic. Will go again.“

I live in Valley Stream And I have tried many Chinese food shops around NY and I can honestly say this is the best. The food was very tasty! “Our first time at Commander Cody’s. We had the fried oysters, baked clams, shrimp cocktail, cole slaw, mac-n-cheese and cheesecake. My partner is in hospitality and i am a big foodie. The food was enriched with culture and you felt the soul, being a hoppa- I respect that. It was incredible and left me wanting to come back one more time before we head go back to Brooklyn. He recommended the proper portions for sharing instead of maximizing the bill and his tip. The water views were spectacular. And the atmosphere was relaxed. I would certainly going there again.“

“Dopo has become our favorite restaurant in the Hamptons. Vlad, the host, welcomes us with warmth and recognition and does his best to seat us at a nice table. He makes everyone feel special. The wait staff is warm and makes sure to check in regularly but discreetly. The food is delicious. We love the bread, chopped salad, whole branzino, mac n cheese and much more. The fellow diners are often fun to chat with and watch as well. No matter how often we go, and sometimes it's weekly, our evenings at Dopo always feel special.“

“Looking for a good meal at a reasonable price in Southampton? Wait no longer!! This is primarily a fish market, but they have a take-out kitchen that prepares all sorts of great meals. The fish and chips (house made chips, not fries) with Cole slaw was a steal at its price as were the clam strips. A full range of typical fried/broiled seafood items are also available. The fresh fish looks great and they have enough grocery items so a quick seafood dinner can be made with the fish you just bought, as well a sauces and chowders. Has moved to the top of my list for places not to miss in town.“

“We had a fantastic lunch by the water at this beautiful open-air restaurant. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxing, with a perfect view of the harbor and a light breeze coming through the open windows. The service was friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.

The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. The clam pasta was creamy and flavourful. The fried seafood plates were crispy and fresh, and the mac and cheese was a big hit with the kids. “In late June, we arrived for a late evening dinner. Other customers were finishing as we were seated. Our waitress who had an out sized personality, Sandra, greeted us warmly. It was our worry that the kitchen might be shutting down but we were assured that we could be accompanied even at the late hour. this concern was made even more complicated by my dietary restrictions that the chef met wonderfully . We enjoyed an excellent dinner, joined by our server, Sandra, who regaled us with tales of her family and the area. Sandra was a very experienced server. My wife, Denise, who was at the time undergoing chemotherapy, appreciated her warmth and sensitivity. All in all it was an excellent experience and we look forward to our next visit to Mattituck when we will certainly visit your wonderful restaurant again. Denise and John“

“It’s outdated, the food isn’t high quality, but it’s a Southampton institution. That being said, my husband and I went on a date night we’re we ordered one slice of pizza from 10 places from Wainscott to Hampton bays and Paul’s had the best slice. A bottle of Caesar dressing is always in the fridge. Don’t come here expecting much from the regular menu, and staff is always rotating so service is iffy. Stick with the pizza and you won’t be disappointed“
