“The dining rooms are very tight, and the tables are tiny, so if you have loud or large people at your table or the one next to you, you can guarantee that someone will be less than comfortable. That being said, the drinks are good, and the specials were yummy. The desserts were definitely worth saving room for something sweet. One friend in our party was disappointed at the lack of seafood in his seafood bisque, but he said the flavor itself was delicious.Wait time was pretty quick, and the party behind us was friendly. There's a very nice hometown feel to the whole place, and service was quick, friendly, and efficient without feeling rushed. All in all, it's definitely a spot to visit again.Parking: Creative parking seems to be the name of the game. There are several driveways that can't be blocked, but after a couple of passes, you'll find a spot to squeeze in. Carpool if at all possible.“
“Picked up food tonight. The guy in the front of the house did it all. Took phone order, sat people, waited tables, tended bar. Cashed people by out. This guy didn't miss a beat. Where ever you got this guy, get some more people like him. Also food was good.“
“Great location on the water. The service was impeccable, the waitress took order for 6 people without taking notes and nailed every meal and drink. Amazing. The clam chowder was delicious although the NY steak was a little tougher than I expected, but the side of truffle fries almost made up for it.Would return and recommend as all the dishes looked great.“
“This is a follow up to our 2023 review of R., Aire at the Hampton Maid in Hampton Bays. As superb as R. Aire was during the past eighteen months, recent visits underscore that the restaurant continues to reach new culinary heights under Chef and Owner Alex Bujoreanu. In a landscape of high priced and often mediocre restaurants on the East End, R. Aire is a unique venue - a chef driven restaurant which offers sophisticated cuisine inspired by the classics of Spain - in an elegant, serene setting - and at moderate prices.Although we have previously taken note of R. Aire’s outstanding signature paellas, the “non rice” sections of the menu offer a range of equally delicious dishes - all made with the finest (and often local) ingredients and reflecting the chef’s masterful synthesis of both classical and modern influences. For example, Chef Bujoreanu offers an amazing Fideua - a short grain pasta dish cooked in the method of paella (in a paella pan) in a richly flavored sofrito. R. Aire’s Fideua is a textural wonder, served two ways - as a seafood and squid ink classic or a rustic wild mushroom and duck version. Fideua is rarely offered in the U.S. - these renditions are authentic and superb.R. Aire’s appetizers and small plate “pinchos”offer an array of delectable choices, from flavorful morsels of grilled lamb (Morunos), aromatic grilled Shishito peppers, succulent octopus, airy meatballs and a lovely heirloom beet salad. One could construct a deeply satisfying dinner from these perfectly composed small plates. In addition to the Fideua and traditional paellas for which R. Aire is known - the paellas have a perfect “socarrat” base and are cooked to order and served in individual paella pans - the non rice dishes are equally impressive. Memorable main courses include pristine local sea scallops, breast of duck, Iberico pork and a filet mignon of Wagyu beef. This is cooking at a very high level. The service at R. Aire is warm and inviting. The restaurant’s gracious manager, Grigore, provides an attentive hands on presence in the dining room; he is clearly focused on delivering the service and hospitality which has been the restaurant’s credo since it opened. It should be noted the restaurant’s wine list has continued to evolve, offering a range of wines from Spain and the U.S. and other wine regions from excellent producers - and at fair prices. In a world of formulaic restaurants and homogeneous food, R. Aire stands out for its warmth, value and brilliant cooking. Bravo to Chef Bujoreanu and his team for creating a special venue in Hampton Bays.“
“Had a great brunch with my mom a few Sundays back. I had the shrimp and grits and my mom a breakfast specialty bowl. Also had the duck empanadas. Food and service were excellent and we had a great view of the bay as we ate and chatted. First time dining there and it was great. Bar and dining area set up With a great island vibe.“
“My first visit to Jerry and the Mermaid was nothing short of magical. Nestled along the seaside, this charming restaurant boasts not only impeccable food but also a breathtaking setting that instantly transports you to a coastal paradise. From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality that made us feel like longtime regulars, despite it being our first time there. Jerry himself checked in on us multiple times, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of perfection.Despite the bustling Friday crowd during Easter weekend, Jerry’s accommodating nature and honesty about the wait time made our decision to stay worth it. And oh, was it worth it! As we strolled along the docks, soaking in the ocean breeze, anticipation built for what turned out to be a phenomenal experience. The food, oh the food! Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and made with the utmost care. From the freshest seafood to delectable appetizers, every bite was a delight to the senses. But it wasn’t just the food that left a lasting impression. The atmosphere of the restaurant, with its cozy yet vibrant ambiance, added an extra layer of charm to the entire experience. Surrounded by the sound of waves and the sight of boats swaying gently in the harbor, we found ourselves lost in the moment, savoring each bite and each precious moment spent at Jerry and the Mermaid. In a world where exceptional dining experiences are rare gems, Jerry and the Mermaid shines brightly as a beacon of excellence. Whether you’re a local or a visitor passing through, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at this seaside paradise. You won’t regret it!“
“Went for lunch while in the area and was pleasantly surprised. I did a quick search for gluten free and found this place. My mother has Celiac and was over the moon that she could have anything on the menu! My shakshuka was good, she loved her chicken sandwich. But the star of lunch was the fried calamari. The place is cute and intimate, good music playing. We'll be back next time we're near.“
“Food was excellent and service was very attentive. I think prices are reasonable. Was disappointed that we had to sit in the other room on Valentine's Day...it was bright and no fireplace. No real decor. The main dining area was much nicer.“
“My wife and I have been here twice and both times have been a very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent, service attentive, and it’s a wonderful intimate atmosphere. The bourbon list is outstanding if you’re a bourbon fan. The whole experience is worth a night out.“
“What an adorable spot! The servers were very kind to allow us outside seating and turned the lights on for us. Our server was super helpful and cheery and enjoyed the night with us. The seafood penne a la vodka had plenty of lobster in it and they were kind enough to oblige our request for a different sauce for the steak. The merengue key lime was also delish! I’m surprised this place doesn’t have more reviews, such a nice gem in Hampton Bays!“
“Love this place! My husband & I come here sometimes. Everybody is so nice, great menu & the food is delish! Great outdoor space with nice canal views!! Gets super busy in the summer & they have live music as well!! Check out their FB page!!“
“Nice little sandwich shop in Mattituck. We hit this place before going to a couple wineries nearby. The woman behind the counter was quite nice and told us about her few favorite sandwiches. We ordered fries, the game day, and Charlie's brother in law. Everything was tasty and fresh. The game day was delicious but could have used more sauce and honestly a little less chicken. Charlie's brother in law was perfect. Nice and lite. Fries had great seasoning/batter but unfortunately stuck together a bit. Will return!“
“I have tried a number of different items. There shrimp dumplings are out of this world. The wonton soup is delicious.Boneless spareribs were great.Shrimp and broccoli was perfect. There is not one negative thing about this establishment. The service was so courteous & polite.I go there all the time now.The Best !“
“Still thinking about my perfectly seasoned and cooked (so tender) bone in pork chop. Everyone loved their dishes. My beet salad appetizer was delicious , oysters fresh and a lovely glass of delicious Sicilian wine. Good value, great dining experience.“
“Came here for a bridal shower and couldnt believe the view and food! The spaghetti and meatballs was extraordinarily delicious and they kept the amazing bread coming! I even asked for extra to take home. They did an amazing job hosting the bridal shower. I have it on my radar to go back for dinner in the near future as well. Great experience here.“

“A friend was going on and on about this place, swearing by their Porterhouse steak. Stepping inside felt like stumbling upon a cozy dive-bar-meets-elegant-dining gem, with a charmingly "homey feel" that immediately puts you at ease. You could tell it is a spot that mostly only locals frequent. They gave us the nod to choose our own seat and we instantly felt at home. The waitress who greeted us was as friendly as she was eager to take our drink orders. I opted for the marinated steak over salad, while my husband ordered the marinated porterhouse. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, expertly cooked to perfection. Overall, it's exactly what they said it would be: cozy, with loads of character, and the servers are pretty friendly too. It's a dining experience you won't find anywhere else on the North Fork, a real adventure for your taste buds. Next time you're feeling like a carnivore, make sure you visit the elbow room in Jamesport. I hear they have another location, but I was told this is the best one. The verdict? The Elbow Room charmed its way into our hearts.“
“we still miss the days of Cor-J but fortunately little has changed and this is still our #1 choice for seafood on the east end~ best product/selection + knowledgeable staff. they'll do #littlenecks on the halfshell (when we dont have time to shuck at home) it's a dream and reasonably priced. the blackfish was write-home-about level delicious“
“This place is surely the place to get any kind of seafood you can imagine! No need to look elsewhere, as this place is the only quality game in town? Great selection, great quality, and awesome people who go out of their way to make sure you are 100% satisfied. ?“
“I absolutely love the baby moon. I’ve been going there since I’m a child and now I am a full bloomed 56-year-old woman still loving it best Italian food and their fish is to die for absolutely prepared perfectly it’s not oily. The service is impeccable the the staff is very caring and acknowledge about their menu and what it consist of food arrived in a very timely manner very relaxed atmosphere. I love the fireplace and PS they make the best Shirley Temples too!!!!!!“
“Interior is warm and inviting, our server was exceptionally welcoming and friendly with myself and wife. Was never rushed and maintained welcomed intervals of time between courses. The choices were enticing but the specials are what we ordered and they were delicious. Presentation hit the mark and cocktails were great. I would gladly recommend Touch of Venice to everyone. Truly an enjoyable experience in fine dining.“
“Love this place! My husband & I come here sometimes. Everybody is so nice, great menu & the food is delish! Great outdoor space with nice canal views!! Gets super busy in the summer & they have live music as well!! Check out their FB page!!“
“The bartender Shawn was the best. Such a hustling guy he was able to handle the entire bar on his own and it was full. I will go back when I'm in town. The folks next to me had chicken sandwiches, one grilled and one fried. They said they were excellent. A nice spot on the water, but unfortunately it was raining otherwise deck seating would be awesome.“
“Its the waterviews and the service that make this a very busy Hamptons favorite. The food is pricey and good, but not special. Foze is the perfect summer cocktail. Food truck at the water's edge is a real treat for really casual food and drink.“
“A wonderful casual dining restaurant with simple, well-prepared fresh fish (there are meat options too), potatoes, vegetables and salads, as well. I am always impressed by the attentive, helpful, knowledgeable friendly young men who work here. Great place!“
“First time at this establishment. Had the shrimp po boy sandwich, Cole slaw, fresh corn. Everything tasted great, including the toasted roll and greens inside the sandwich. The sauce had a little kick but just enough and the shrimp, was plump and yummy. We will be lifelong patrons.“
“Visited On the Docks for dinner during a quick getaway to Aquebogue and was really impressed with the food and service. I wish I could remember our server’s name, but he was exceptionally pleasant and attentive, without being annoying. The food was great too. We had the oysters (which were very fresh) and duck wings to start and then split a fried seafood platter and everything was delicious and well prepared.“
