“I’m sorry that I don’t have a picture of my food. I was so eager to try it because it looked and smelled delicious. I had jerk chicken and potato salad. I was not disappointed! I’m going back. The service was great and owner of the food truck is very attentive. He apologized for the wait (which wasn’t really long at all!). I loved the customer service, but the food was soo much better. It was very tasty and left me craving more. I will be a regular at this food truck! 😋 ❤️“

“Quality Jamaican food in Brooklyn Heights! The food is consistent I think I've tried everything on the menu. The meat just falls off the bone and is seasoned to perfection. The Oxtail, Stew Chicken, Rasta Pasta you name it they all are delightful. A party in your mouth at a reasonable price you just can't beat it. Jerk House is a hidden gem! The fried chicken could use a little more seasoning, but once I tried the jerk chicken and oxtail, it was game over. “Very nice experience with 6 of us at Big Daddy's. The Caesar salad and dressing were delicious. We all had different mains, and everyone enjoyed their food. Nuff a the food were finished(sold out) but we got the pepper steak w/rice&peas and raw vegetables (shredded carrots and cabbage,love it!) and sweet chilie wings w/rice and peas. The food is consistently delicious and made to order — no food sitting out on a heater waiting for someone to order. I’ve had the jerk shrimp, curry shrimp roti, jerk salmon, and other items and the food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They sell juices and cake which are also amazing. I’ve been going here once a week since the pandemic started and I’m always so excited to get my food. The owner is amazing and is dedicated to always providing five star service and food.“

“My husband loves getting breakfast here when he is going to work. The food taste delicious and the staff is very polite. They offer jamaican cuisine. You can get curry chicken back, jerk chicken, fish, goat, oxtail, rice and peas, white rice, boiled food/ ground provision, steamed and fresh veggies, baked goods, festival, fritters, soup and porridge. This morning I got steamed calaloo & saltfish with fried dumplings and plantains. Hubby got white rice and curry chicken back. The restaurant can get a little crowdy and you may have to wait a few minutes to be served, but it's worth the wait. Also there is no parking lot available but you can find parking on the street easily. They also sell freshly squeeze juice. Overall I highly recommend them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.“

“Good patty spot for a quick bite, one lady was manning the whole spot and she made your order quick. Beef patty crust was a little stale but other than that beef patty and price was good. Ordered and beef patty with cheese and a jerk chicken patty because they didn’t have curry chicken. Jerk chicken patty was perfect buttery soft crust with a good amount of chicken. Highly recommend for the quality and price they offer. Not giving five stars because the beef patty crust was a little hard to chew but other than that great spot“

“Earlier this morning..... My first experience at Door Restaurant in the borough of Queens.... OMG I tried the Traditional Jamaican Breakfast: Liver, Saltfish, Callaloo, provisions omg. Couldn't eat it all but I killed the Saltfish. Restaurant wasn't crowded. Good service.. I still have enough leftovers for a few more meals 😂😂😂😂 My friend enjoyed her jerk chicken with peas and rice.. 😋“

“I’ve been coming here recently and love their creative food options. The staff is very kind. I like that they offer samples to customers. The oxtail Mac and cheese egg rolls are a hit as well as the oxtail smash burger. Their chicken soup is also delicious too!“

“Having lived in Brooklyn for over a decade, I’ve had my fair share of jerk chicken, from various places - hole in the walls, fancy restaurants, carts, and of course, backyards. Hits and misses. I have my one sacred, tried and true jerk chicken spot that never fails me. However, I saw this place as I was walking to my job and I decided to give them a try. One of the best decisions I’ve made all year.

The jerk chicken here is incredible. Watching them cook it up fresh was a unique experience while the chef was detailing the history of the restaurant and how amazing the price and portion you actually get for it. Little did I know, the chef, a lovely and kind Bajan woman would be cooking up one of the best bites I’ve had all year.

Don’t know where you’ll get that amount of chicken for $7, and a free slice of bread? Which seems to be a lost relic for jerk spots nowadays. It’s hard to beat that value, especially in this financial climate.

The chicken itself was tender, yet cooked through with that traditional grill texture but still moist. The meat was flavorful and had that classic char but it did not carry a BURNT flavor. One thing that did set them apart from all the other jerk spots I’ve been too? The sauces. I forgot to count, but I believe they had over 10 different sauces. I rarely put sauce on my jerk chicken, cause in my opinion, the best jerk chicken has no sauce. All the flavor should come from the meat and seasonings. But I couldn’t resist. All in all.. this might be my new favorite spot. Even though I did cover it in 3 different sauces.. the flavor was still there.

I plan to come back, for the large next time and I’ll cover half in sauce and leave the other half dry.

Long story short…One of the best pure jerk chicken spots in ALL of NY. Please give these great people a try!“

Their patties have an amazing crust and they’re filled with ample beef, or whatever filling of your choice; not with a lot of floured-filler.
