“My husband and I were out for a drive and decided to look for someplace to dine on the water. We came across this place by chance (Google) and couldn't have been more pleased. We arrived without a reservation and slightly underdressed; but were greeted by a delightful hostess, served by a very attentive staff, and the food was top notch. Our compliments to the chef. We look forward to returning.“

“Excellent spot for fresh seafood. I get take out here at least once a week. I can’t say enough about how good this seafood is. My personal favorites here are the seafood stuffed mushrooms, the baked clams, and the NE clam chowder. Everything here is great tho, I like to try different stuff every time. Each time is better than the other.“

“It was my first time & Jerry and the Mermaid & my server was named Lynn. She was a very sweet woman who made my experience even more enjoyable. The oysters were very fresh & briney the way that I like them & me & my friend were seated fairly quickly. The espresso martinis were soooo good, definitely recommend that if you’re into those. “Went for lunch while in the area and was pleasantly surprised. I did a quick search for gluten free and found this place. My mother has Celiac and was over the moon that she could have anything on the menu! My shakshuka was good, she loved her chicken sandwich. But the star of lunch was the fried calamari. The place is cute and intimate, good music playing. We'll be back next time we're near.“

“My wife and I have been here twice and both times have been a very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent, service attentive, and it’s a wonderful intimate atmosphere. The bourbon list is outstanding if you’re a bourbon fan. The whole experience is worth a night out.“

“Visited On the Docks for dinner during a quick getaway to Aquebogue and was really impressed with the food and service. I wish I could remember our server’s name, but he was exceptionally pleasant and attentive, without being annoying. The food was great too. We had the oysters (which were very fresh) and duck wings to start and then split a fried seafood platter and everything was delicious and well prepared.“

“Brought home a takeout order of Chicken Parmesan w / Thin spaghettiinitial reaction was a lil pricey but once I got home and dug into it all was good. The salad it came w was fresh and delicious.The Chicken Parmesan was fantastic some of the best I ever had , and the angel hair pasta was top notch I'm so glad I finally stopped in on my way home and wanted something substantial.Michelangelo's did not disappoint.“

“The dining rooms are very tight, and the tables are tiny, so if you have loud or large people at your table or the one next to you, you can guarantee that someone will be less than comfortable. That being said, the drinks are good, and the specials were yummy. The desserts were definitely worth saving room for something sweet. One friend in our party was disappointed at the lack of seafood in his seafood bisque, but he said the flavor itself was delicious.Wait time was pretty quick, and the party behind us was friendly. There's a very nice hometown feel to the whole place, and service was quick, friendly, and efficient without feeling rushed. All in all, it's definitely a spot to visit again.Parking: Creative parking seems to be the name of the game. There are several driveways that can't be blocked, but after a couple of passes, you'll find a spot to squeeze in. Carpool if at all possible.“

“My husband and I went this past Friday the place was packed the two waitresses there Olivia and Victoria were amazing the food was great and so was the atmosphere I would highly recommend going especially when there is a band great place in the winter I know it’s going to be extremely nice in summer when they have the outside open“

“I went to Island Seafood in Shirley today. We were blown away by the deliciousness of the food! The fried shrimp was so fresh and tasty and the baked Mac and cheese was the best ever. We will definitely be back! There are lots of tables inside too. Can’t wait to try more of their food!“

I’ve been going there since I’m a child and now I am a full bloomed 56-year-old woman still loving it best Italian food and their fish is to die for absolutely prepared perfectly it’s not oily. Prices were great considering the location.I ordered the clam chowder and a quahog - both hit the mark. The chowder was rich and perfectly New England style; the stuffed quahog was classic Cape Cod style - toasty on top but soft on the inside.“

“Picked up food tonight. The guy in the front of the house did it all. Took phone order, sat people, waited tables, tended bar. Cashed people by out. This guy didn't miss a beat. Where ever you got this guy, get some more people like him. Also food was good.“
