“From the moment we walked through the door, we were warmly greeted by the host and promptly seated. Our server, Hannah, struck the perfect balance between being warm and personable while remaining polished and professional. She had an impressive knowledge of the menu and provided the kind of service we should all be so lucky to experience. During our meal she mentioned what a wonderful team they have and how much she enjoys working there—and honestly, it showed. Everyone we encountered seemed genuinely happy to be there, and it created such a welcoming atmosphere.

We enjoyed both a cocktail and a mocktail, each beautifully crafted and presented. From the appetizers to dessert, every dish was thoughtfully composed. The combination of flavors, textures, and temperatures made each course feel intentional and beautifully executed.

After ordering dessert, I stepped outside for a cigarette. One of the staff members came out to let us know that our ice cream had just been scooped and our desserts were being plated so we could return before it melted. It was such a small gesture, but one that perfectly reflected the level of hospitality we experienced throughout the evening.

Every aspect of our visit left us wanting to tell our friends that Eliza is the new spot. Thank you to Hannah and the entire team for such a memorable evening—we can’t wait to come back.“

“Visited Garvan’s today for the first time for a late lunch in the Pub. We started with Mexican Street Carrots. So delicious! My husband had the traditional Irish breakfast and I had the lamb stew. Both meals were excellent. Wish we could have had dessert, but we were so stuffed. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We’re looking forward to visiting again.“

One of the few wine bars open on a Sunday night in Kingston, New York, and the place was still buzzing. Authentic Spanish tapas delightfully presented, and the attention to detail from start to finish was superb.

Owner Nick has really created something very authentic and special here.

He is passionate about Spanish wines and even more so when it comes to sherries. An incredible wine and sherry list.

“Love the atmosphere at this bar. The staff is super friendly and fills your drinks quickly. The food is the star to the show. The wings are brined and made in house. The Parmesan and garlic fires are the perfect accompaniment to the drinks. Definitely a must visit when in town.“

“Their turkey hoagie is one of the best sandwiches I have eaten in maybe my entire life … add pesto and you will be in heaven. Takes a little while to actually get your food so sit back and relax and stay a while. Theres a pool table and arcade games in the back, very chill, kid friendly - no table service (order at the counter!)“

“This is my favorite little spot, everyone is friendly, usually a low key place. 2 pool tables (quarters, $2 a game, nice diamond tables) and a small selection of food, but they never give us a hard time about ordering delivery there. OTB, Scratch off machine, and a covered picnic bench outside.“

“My husband and I took a little day trip from Albany today with no real destination in mind, besides checking out Samuels Sweet Shop. As we drove through town, your restaurant caught our eye! After asking the sweet clerk at Sam’s how your food was, we decided to have lunch on her suggestion. And we are so glad we did! The interior of the restaurant is very nice and it was so warm and cozy as we entered. Your staff were wonderful. We each had a drink… I had a Bellini and he chose a beer. Our server was nice enough to look up the brewery his beer was from for us too (nice added touch that he didn’t have to do) We started our meal with calamari. The breading was so delicious and not heavy and the pineapple dipping sauce was a tasty surprise. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich and he opted for steak. My chicken was the perfect blend of hot and sweet and so good. My husband’s steak was perfectly and we both enjoyed the horseradish sauce it was served with. Both served with your homemade shoestring fries. Both, so good! We had a lovely time sitting and conversing. Your waitstaff checking in just enough to make sure we were taken care of and not pushy to get us out. Overall we loved it! We can’t wait to come back in warm weather and try your outdoor seating. I wish I had gotten our servers name, as he deserves the kudos for being so pleasant!“

Hosts were welcoming and provided great service accommodating our large party - friendly and helpful - setting a stage for a relaxed and fun late afternoon birthday meal. Everyone in our group of 18 enjoyed Fosters - cold drinks, good service, and excellent food - from the Thanksgiving sandwich, French dip, to the cranberry walnut salad! The team at Fosters also sourced a delicious carrot cake 🎂!“

It has the same welcoming atmosphere as its previous location, but this is so much better! Food and service are great, and they have been very busy since opening a few weeks ago. “I’ve struggled with finding really delicious wings in the area. It seems like Buffalo was the only place to go-until now. I was recommended to this place and I’m very happy with the quality of the wings. I had Thai and extra hot wings. The only thing is that the extra hot wasn’t hot at all to me. But that’s just me and that certainly doesn’t take away from the quality of the food and the excellent service. Next time I’ll just specify exactly how hot I want the wings. I highly recommend Hickory to anyone who is looking for delicious smoked food.“
