We got so many compliments on how great the environment, drinks and people were. They even accommodated food for us! Couldn’t recommend hosting an event here more.“

“Visited Garvan’s today for the first time for a late lunch in the Pub. We started with Mexican Street Carrots. So delicious! My husband had the traditional Irish breakfast and I had the lamb stew. Both meals were excellent. Wish we could have had dessert, but we were so stuffed. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We’re looking forward to visiting again.“

“Delicious. My favorite is the curry lentil soup and bahn mi sandwich. Everything I’ve had here is delicious. It is expensive tho and the kitchen isn’t the fastest. But for a nice lunch and hang, this place is great. Excellent coffee as well.“

“Great food service. I have never found a place that makes a better margarita. Most places make what I call “girly” margaritas. A true margarita is like a martini or manhattan. With the liquor the # 1 ingredient. Santa Fe makes a true margarita. The food is also very fresh and made to offer. Never found a place that makes better tacos.“

I don’t drink alcohol but hubby thought their craft beers are top-notch, with Hurricane Kitty and Mother's Milk being my favorites. They also have live music events that make the place even more fun. “There's no way you'd think of this place as in business, let alone a destination. It's rundown exterior belies its cozy dive bar interior. If you're looking for a pool table , come out , you'll find the smallest one i've ever seen here. There's a bar that seats , about eight people in a couple of four top tables. Very small interior, very dated , just right to sit there and have a couple drinks with the locals.“

It has the same welcoming atmosphere as its previous location, but this is so much better! Food and service are great, and they have been very busy since opening a few weeks ago. If you want to ensure that you can get a table, make a reservation in advance!“

Jerk chicken wrap is also REAL good and that sauce with it is something else. If you love Caribbean and jerk food, this place will make you happy!!“

“Went here on a nice summer Saturday with my family and had a wonderful experience. The gumbo stole the show! Creative options, classic New Orleans fare (including the fried alligator bites which we didn't get to try, maybe next time). Burger was amazing, fries (both Cajun and regular) were spot on. Buffalo cauliflower was my personal favorite. The waitress was friendly and personable. We had a few lovely conversations with her about her favorite selections. Chocolate cake = perfection. Atmosphere is casual, music is gentle and the staff were lovely. Definitely coming back. (Just be prepared for weekend New Paltz parking when you come out...)“

“I’ve struggled with finding really delicious wings in the area. It seems like Buffalo was the only place to go-until now. I was recommended to this place and I’m very happy with the quality of the wings. I had Thai and extra hot wings. The only thing is that the extra hot wasn’t hot at all to me. But that’s just me and that certainly doesn’t take away from the quality of the food and the excellent service. Next time I’ll just specify exactly how hot I want the wings. I highly recommend Hickory to anyone who is looking for delicious smoked food.“
