“Been to CHELI three times now and it’s perfect every time. Food is delicious, service is excellent, and I love how much care goes into their food decoration. Nothing feels rushed. The whole place has a great environment too. One of the best in Flushing NY, no question.“

“456 Shanghai serves popular Chinese dishes that appeal to most people, though the flavors are fairly ordinary. Their lunch special is a very cost-effective option for a quick and filling meal. For only $9.25, you get rice, an entrée, and hot and sour soup. Overall, the food quality matches the price.“

“Full disclosure, we were hungover and starving prior to this meal. That being said… Excellent Dumpling House is, well, excellent. I loved the cozy, low-key atmosphere, the service was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our food and finished the generous portions. Exactly the kind of satisfying meal you hope for when you need a recovery lunch.“

“I went here with my brother. I loved it. Tea, dumplings, dessert (a sweet rice soup (soup?)). It was all good. I didn’t get any duck. I’ll have to come back for that. Very reasonably priced.“

“Caught my eye when the restaurant was first announced right next to some other fave lunch spots Gogo Curry & former Sakura Terikayi😢. Being a Shanghai native, tasting the juicy and crispy Sheng Jian Baos offered here brings back fond memories of ordering from street stalls back home. There so much soup encased in these that they blow away mid soup dumplings from some place, looking at you Din Tai Fung😏
Twice when I dined in, waiter either got the wrong order or included an item I didn't order, so do point at the menu to make sure. Being made fresh means items may take 15+ minute to be ready when you order in store for takeout, well worth the wait.“

“Came here with my girlfriend last night for the first time. I love Shanghai food and I didn't know they had one here in Brooklyn, NY. Love their wall art. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants good food.“

“All I gotta say is, this place was Simplistic and Comforting. I decided to come here on a Saturday with a friend of mine, it was freezing outside, very uncomfortable to say the least. We decided to pop our heads in here for a minute just to warm up and see what this semi-underground restaurant had to offer. We took a peek at their lunch special and decided to take a seat at a table.
The Atmosphere of the place is very quiet, soft, comforting, loft-like. Soft music playing in the background made it feel some sort of an aesthetic, which personally, was very pleasing as we needed a space to rewind a bit. Tables and Seats were very clean as well, with a lot of cutlery.
The Service was great! We were a seated by an older gentleman who was very helpful and polite in taking our order. Straightforward which made thinks a lot quicker.
The food was excellent. I don’t have any complaints for it whatsoever. Our dishes came with a choice of soup, I decided to go with the Egg Drop. The soup had some sort of texture which made it soft, creamy and delicious, honestly wanted to have one more. Then came the Pad Thai. Quite literally the perfect portion we needed just to warm up and finish our day off. The flavor and spice to it was amazing! Also had to try out their Bubble Tea, which was great as well!
To end it of, this was a VERY good restaurant. I would absolutely highly recommend this restaurant to others for a quick bite. I gotta say, their prices were also reasonable. This is a great place to sit down with a family member or two, friends and others. I would most definetly be coming back here for more! ❤️🙌“

“Authentic and tasty Chinese food in the heart of NYC’s Chinatown. Very reliable and a fun vibe. Always crowded, but great service and very large portions. Go early for dinner and you won’t have to wait long, but if you go around 8ish, expect a line. And cash only for payment.“

“I’ve been to this place many times, probably almost 10 times by now! These days, it’s pretty rare for anyone to visit a Flushing restaurant that often unless it’s really good. Great service and great food every time!
The Fish Head Casserole is a must order! For $25, it comes with so much tofu, glass noodles, and veggies, super hearty. They always give free soup dumplings for orders over $30, and they are really solid. Honestly, I think they are some of the best soup dumplings in Flushing, even better than Nan Xiang.
The Chestnut Chicken Stew is also good, but the portion is much smaller than their other dishes so it is not as worth trying.
The Squirrel Fish is also pretty good, though I forgot to take a picture, and the portions are very big.
Will definitely come back again!“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“Literally ordered one item — their fried tofu vermicelli noodle soup — and was shocked by the portion size. A huge bowl of their tasty duck bone broth, bok choy incuded as well, and all for $5. In this economy? Insane! Will definitely be back to try more of their menu if ever in the area!“

“We tried Lao Ke Le Shanghai Cuisine and the place has a fun old-Shanghai vibe — neon signs, lanterns, even a rickshaw.
The food was pretty good overall. They also gave us some soup dumplings, which was nice, but the skin was a bit dry.
Overall, a good spot if you’re in the mood for Shanghainese dishes.“

“I lived in NY for 37 years and nothing beats the food. That being said, I moved to Florida 4 years ago for work and haven't been back until last week. We went in for Thanksgiving (work), and decided we would do take out for dinner. This place was amazing. Food is always what I expected.....New York food is the best. The staff was super friendly, the prices were not anything crazy, and the food was ready within 10 minutes. We brought it back to the hotel and ate all of it. I don't know how food is where you are, but they always bury it in rice. Not here. They gave so much chicken and pork on top of the rice, I was very satisfied. Highly recommended.“

“Owen and the staff were all fantastic. Patrick at the bar was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely return each time I'm in NYC. Everything was amazing. Pork dumplings, chocolate dumplings with the sea salt foam, and their signature shochu sesame espresso martini are an absolute must. I'll be dreaming of them until next time.“

“Incredible above and beyond authentic and luxury Chinese cuisine in the heart of Long Island City. Our server Tony was a master of ceremony with being able to keep our dining experience seamless and so enjoyable on Chinese New Year eve. The food was so delicious, so flavorful and huge portions. “We had the Mala Xian Guo (spicy hotpot) and it was great overall. I wouldn’t recommend to put the bean curd roll and fried dough to it because it melted when it was cooked. An uncle was working all by himself when we went there but it was impressive he had everything covered. I’d come here again to eat Mala.“

“I got to this gem by accident , and it’s an excellent place for lunch or a simple dinner.
I ordered the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings and seaweed shrimp soup. The dumplings were absolutely delicious—well-cooked, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The soup, on the other hand, was more like a broth and a bit too salty for my taste, but it was still enjoyable. Overall, I had a wonderful time at this cafe.“

“This place has the best, most authentic wontons I've ever had outside of Shanghai. Both the small and large wontons are delicious. Every time I go I get the large wontons to eat and a frozen pack to go. They have a delicious lion's head meatball too. I'd go daily if I lived nearby.“

“I had a really good experience at Mr. Bao. The food was honestly so good, especially the rice bowls — everything was well seasoned and flavorful. You can tell they care about what they’re serving.
Customer service was great too, super friendly and welcoming. And if you’re lucky, they might even let you try a drink they’re experimenting with (I forgot the name of it but it was actually really good).
Next time I definitely need to try their baos. Overall, it’s a spot I would come back to.“

“Will be back soon! Only had time to choose two items from the lunch menu to takeout. The pork chop and fish fillet were more than worth it. The lunch special came with rice either white or brown and a cup of soup. The food here is super homey. The service at the restaurant is great. The hostess was super friendly. The place was packed and I believe there is a second floor. Waited a hot minute for my food but there was room to sit while you do.“
