“We woke up early on a snowy Sunday and changed our plans because of the weather, so we decided to look for a breakfast spot instead. We had passed this place many times, and since it had great reviews, we finally decided to give it a try. What a great decision.

Any review that says the food is bland must be biased, because this was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The whipped cream tasted like it was freshly made. The whiskey pancakes were incredibly flavorful, with perfectly spiced raisins and apple slices mixed right in. The Hungry Farmer’s plate—with eggs, cheese, bacon, and sausage all together—was like a circus in your mouth.

This will definitely be our new go-to breakfast place when we want to splurge a little. The prices are basically the same as a diner, so why go to a crappy diner when you can eat at such a pretty, spacious restaurant?“

“Friends recommended this neighborhood gem and we were not disappointed! We really enjoy restaurants that have a variety of Tapas and Speak Easy's selection of Tapas is great. Lots a different choices to try. We had the Chorizos, Meatballs and Potato Croquettes which were all delish. Tapas portions were hearty to share for 2 so no disappointments on our end. “As a local, I truly consider this coffee shop one of the sweetest gems in our community. I recently had a little Galentine’s get-together here, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and accommodating.

The coffee shop is decorated so pretty. We loved everything we tried, but the cookie butter latte and banana oat latte were definite favorites! The food was also good!

We had the chopped cheese and a jerk chicken quesadilla a salute to Chef Tristans roots Jamican Chinese.

The wagyu chopped cheese was something..wow! Ton of flavor and that bread was perfect. Cheesey, savory, buttery ,and that crunch.

This spot is great! a hidden gem in Elmhurst in the middle of Little Thailand Way.

The jerk quesadilla is great but is really spicy. If you like heat get it. They use scoth bonnet peppers.

Go check them out. And let me know if this is the best chopped cheese in NYC .

“Mr. Khalit is amazing! I stumbled upon his shop while i was waiting for my train at Kew Gardens station. It was extremely cold day and was around the shop’s closing time, yet he asked me to stay in his shop even though my train won’t be here for a while. Mr. Khalit is kindhearted and seems to love his job. I’m so glad I found this gem and definitely will visit again if I have the opportunity!“

“Possibly one of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had! I stumbled upon this spot on a whim while visiting clients in Queens, and I’m glad I did. From the very first snap, I could tell this had to be a homemade or custom dog — it didn’t have that generic taste so many hot dogs do. The seasoning was perfect, and it actually tasted like a real meal rather than just a quick snack.

On my second visit, I asked the team in the truck why their dogs were so good. They explained that it’s a custom blend made exclusively for them and a few high-end retailers who serve it in their restaurants.

My friend and I ate a bacon egg and cheese on toast. The entire sandwich is a beautiful presentation. The toast was golden brown, warm and sliced as to envelope the ingredients. The cheese a warm gooey skin around the walls of the toast. The bacon, added wonderful flavor to the fluffiest eggs I have seen in quite a while. I highly recommend stopping in and trying it for yourself. Your taste buds will thank you!“

“Sometimes you’re just looking for a little beach time and some great BBQ – and Batesy's BBQ delivered on both! We were in town helping another G-FORCE location with an Amazon project, so naturally, we took a break to explore the local food scene. First Impressions: We kicked off with the Deviled Eggs – the jalapeño added a nice little kick while the bacon... well, it was bacon – crispy and delicious. Next up were the House Pickles – sweet, vinegary, and unexpectedly tasty. Who knew pickles could be this good? The Mains: Harry went with the Pulled Pork – packed with flavor, moist, and paired with an excellent sauce. The Potato Salad stood out with just the right-sized chunks, and the Cornbread? Perfectly crispy on the outside. Steve opted for the BBQ Chicken – tender and juicy, coated with that same outstanding house sauce. And the Kielbasa? This place might not be Polish, but they nailed it – full of flavor and definitely a surprise hit! The Potato Salad reminded us of Grandma’s homemade classic, and the Collards had a unique twist that, honestly, we didn’t hate. The rest of the table didn’t hold back either – from the Burger to the Mac and Cheese and, of course, more Pulled Pork, it was all a hit! “I’ve been to this restaurant twice. The first time, I tried the Hainanese chicken rice. As a big fan of the dish, I’d say they did a really good job. The rice texture is a bit different—in a good way—and you can really taste the ginger.

The second time, I tried their khao mok gai (Thai chicken biryani). It was so good—honestly, it tasted just like the version I’ve had in Thailand. I also love their condiments.

Overall, I’m giving them 4 stars. The staff are friendly, too. It can get packed, especially when groups of tourists come in to buy Thai desserts, so please be patient.“
