“I have loved Tim Hortons ever since my first cup in Toronto! I had some time to kill waiting for the train and was delighted to see they had a kiosk at the LIRR stop! They just launched their fall pumpkin donut and latte and they were amazzzzzinnnnngggg. Staff was super friendly and served the meal with a smile Shadeek and Adiba were awesome!“

So this last time ordering GrubHub I put in the comments to please seperate everything. IT WAS PERFECT. Thank you so much for separating all my items out!! “I’ve been coming here once in a while to buy Filipino delicacies and groceries I’ve missed from back home in the Philippines. A few years ago, they upgraded the store and added an eatery.

My take: this was such a smart move. The eatery brings back even more nostalgia, joy, and happiness. What makes me happiest is the way they prepare the food—it feels like my own mom is in the kitchen, cooking and serving it straight to my table. Imagine how that feels.

The service is excellent. Everyone is smiling and genuinely happy, which creates a warm, welcoming ambiance. Now that they have an eatery, I find myself coming back even more. It’s such a great addition, especially with their tapsilogan meals—they truly make me feel at home.

“This location you cannot go inside which personally I agree with that option. I’m always in a rush anyhow so drive thru works fine for me and it’s such a busy location it would be hard to upkeep. Anyhow, Amina was amazing. She repeated my order and she was really sweet when I got to the window to pay for my beverage. I wasn’t having the best day and she really brightened my mood! She just had a really positive attitude and she was really nice too!“

They make sandwiches, smoothies and much more I got a chance to try there bagel cream cheese and bacon 🥯🥓 , and no pork that beef hits even better. As a private chef and a 4-year vegan, I’m always on the lookout for high-quality plant-based options, and Tropical Smoothie Café definitely impressed me on my first visit! After a full day, I was craving something satisfying yet fresh, and I couldn't have made a better choice.
I ordered the Peanut Paradise Smoothie with pea protein, and it was spot-on! Natalie made it perfectly and suggested swapping honey for dates—a brilliant idea that added just the right natural sweetness without being overwhelming. The smoothness and the flavor profile were exactly what I needed to unwind.
For my food, I went with the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap, but with a plant-based chicken alternative. As a chef, I can tell you that I was initially skeptical about how “jerk” the wrap would actually be without that signature heat, but the spice was on point. I was concerned it would be called jerk without the hurt, but the flavors definitely held their own. The seasoning was bold, aromatic, and had a nice depth that really brought the dish together.
The best surprise? The grilled wrap added that extra crunch I didn’t even know I was missing. It was the perfect texture contrast to the soft, flavorful filling. Alec did an excellent job with the prep, and Natalie was very thorough in confirming that the plant-based chicken was truly vegan, which I really appreciated.
Service-wise, both Natalie and Alec were so on top of things, offering helpful suggestions and making me feel like an all-star guest, despite it being my first time. Their attention to detail really made the experience stand out.
The café atmosphere was also excellent, with comfortable seating and a spacious vibe that made it easy to relax after a long day. Watching the smoothies being made right in front of me added to the experience—definitely a place I’d return to.
Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed. As a chef, I can say I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu. If you’re vegan or looking for fresh, flavorful food that doesn’t skimp on taste or quality, I highly recommend Tropical Smoothie Café!

“I walked in and I saw many people from the army with their uniforms on and it made my day. I waved and said “thank you for your service” and they smiled at me. I order my food and it did take some time to get it but it’s all fine. The food was great and hot so plus on that. I really enjoyed my time here. Would definitely recommend to my friends and others! 😆“

“My friend called me, insisting he was at this location. He said he was at both the Pizza Hut, and the Taco Bell. I told him I was also at the combination of the two, and couldn't see him. Incredulously, we went back and forth for 3 minutes, even making sure we were both on Jamaica Avenue. So if you're meeting a friend here, just know there may be two such places on the street.“

“I come here twice a week to get my my son chicken nuggets and nacho fries after work. The staff is very clean. If they touch cash they put on new gloves before they prepare your food which I appreciate. I have been here quite a few times and they never messed up my order.“
