“They know me on a first name basis. The food is all freshly prepared. If they don’t have something and you ask for it they will order it for you. Most bodegas don’t use Boars head meats or mayo. They use Hellmans and boars head which is the same. I go by many bodegas to get to this one and it is well worth it. And I am disabled and they have access for me to go right in the store. They treat you like family“

“Hands down my fav latino restaurant in South Ozone.

The staff is friendly, the fools feels fresh, they are willing to give you the spices you want (as lemon) so it can fit your taste (as in the picture where I got fried tilapia)

When I finally try that food I just got in shock. Super tasty, delicious, the Trinidad and Dominican Republic flavors- was so down the earth. So thankful to have them at the neighborhood, the service is excellent and Yesenia and her employees super professionals. The ambiance and decoration soo relaxing- I love the food and the service, how they welcome you, is hard to find a place like that. Great beverages as well such as the slightly sweetened Jasmine iced tea and Sanzo (lychee & calamansi) sparkling water products!“

“This is a very local restaurant.
It doesn't have fancy decor, nor does it serve mind-blowing dishes with flavors you can't find anywhere else.
However, their food is very wholesome and down-to-earth, without the heavy oils or excessive salt used to aggressively hook a customer's palate.
The prices are also very affordable—I imagine people working nearby frequent this place often.
I'm a delivery truck driver, and whenever I pass through this area, I make sure to stop by.
The elderly owner is Taiwanese and extremely kind, and they also employ some Spanish staff. The overall work atmosphere is wonderful, and I'm certain the owner treats them very well. Dining here gives you a sense of peace that you just can't find anywhere else.
You shouldn't go out of your way just to eat here, but if you happen to be passing by, you definitely have to drop in and check it out.“

“First time eating Bolivian food and it was out of this world! Saltenas were rich, juicy, and hearty (start at one end) and the Sopa de Mani is not at all what I expected peanut soup to taste like. think of Rich complex New England clam chowder without the clams. really no peanutty taste at all. the owner was wonderful as well“

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The Forest pizza is a fav, definitely recommend, and their seasonal specials are always worth checking out. For drinks try out an amaro or the Little Italy. I ordered a produce box and a fruit box, plus proteins and everything was super fresh, minimally packaged and flavorful. I love the option of being able to switch out items in your produce box subscription. I spent here about 2/3 of what I would spend in the grocery stores on Manhattan. I'm looking forward to my next box already.“

“Went to the brand new Houston location and things are a bit rocky with staffing and supplies but I want to brag on your employee CAMILLA ! We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. “We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. The flavors and taste are just the best. No matter what you order you will not go wrong. The service is top notch and Rocco and his staff are just the best at what they do. Just go, you won't regret it.“

“We came on a Thursday right before the 4th. We were immediately seated and noticed the place was a little warm. Not a big deal because it is one of the hottest days this summer. It's almost 100. We got the High Mixed appetizer and the chicken pad Thai. The sampler was good. Spring rolls were good and the dumplings were good. Couldn't do the crab for seafood allergy but the fourth item, we didn't like. It was the texture and didn't have the flavor I was expecting based on the presentation. Service was ok. They had a little bit of a crowd and got them out of there promptly. The pad Thai was really good. It had the perfect amount of flavor and it was light. We needed it to be light because it is hot outside and we still have a lot of walking to do. Overall, it was good. That last item on the High Mixed can go.“

“WonderPho is wonderful!! We found this restaurant on our recent visit to NYC and it has to be one of the best Pho restaurants we've been to in the country. The portion sizes are excellent, the service is outstanding, and the flavors are rich and delicious! “Been a Chrissy’s guy since the fun pop-up days, picking up late night pies at Chris’s house in BK, the times I lucked out in the unique “lottery” system to get a reservation for pick up lol. I miss those days, but so glad he got an actual store to showcase his pizza. All the pies are excellent with fresh ingredients, the best tomato sauce around and perfect crust. I love many, but my favorite is the new-havenish. That ignorant review that slammed the pie annoyed me, when it was prepared exactly as the reviewer admitted it was described!!! This pie is brilliance for those of us that love a tomato pie, but the stakes are raised with the briny delicious pecorino and Calabrian chili flake. Mozz does not go on this pie nor does it belong on it! Chrissy’s pies are out the door at about $40, but I don’t know the last even casual quality meal out in NYC that cost less than $50 - $60 per person at the minimum. Let me split a Chrissy’s pie with a friend for $20 each…have a beyond satisfying meal, and go to sleep happy. Keep doing what you’re doing brother!“

There was so many workers, ( someone opening the door/security, and then there was a worker on the main floor restocking/replenishing).. so many people, I guess everything was moving smooth. But to me, It was just feel a little chaotic, as to where to stand to wait for your order. There was deliveries, people using the kiosk, people in the shop ordering bake and shark having to pay for it first and then going and waiting for it. FOOD WAS GREAT!“

“I had a great time at Kaiyo. It has been a go to for me when I want sushi and am in Long Island City. The front of the restaurant is only the sushi counter, so it isn't noisy or distracting. It's a good place to sit and talk over a meal. The sushi is good and it is reasonably priced.“
