“I noticed this across from North Shore Farms a few weeks ago and finally tried it today. Inside they kept the bar from the old Bayou days. Used to love that place. Anyway this will be on my must go to often. Tan Tan Ramen was made with white meat ground chicken instead of pork. Some of the best I’ve had on Long Island. After I chatted with the owner. “Love this place. The staff is incredibly nice and the food is delicious. The takoyaki was so good. Highly recommend the spicy miso ramen. Loved the pork gyoza with the dipping sauce. The seaweed salad was very tasty too. Definitely making this a go to spot in Syosset.“
“Small section of Japanese market in rear. Great for quick Ramen fix! Very limited menu. Delivery in rear disturbs dining as cartons coming in take up space on tables. Very nice staff...used to frequent their restaurant in Little Neck which was more pleasant to dine in and had a larger menu including sushi.“

The actual bowl itself is nice and large enough to accommodate all your extra toppings. The stability and size of the bowl as well as how nicely the lid fits on are huge plus’s. “The food was absolutely great. I had the Bakuto pork ramen and it was absolutely delicious, flavorful and rich broth and tender pork. I particularly liked the mushrooms included in the ramen. My friend had the spicy cold noodles which were also tasty. The service was great, we did have some issues with the waiter mishearing us, ordered chicken bun but got a shrimp bun, but the waiter was quick to comp us for the shrimp and put in the order for the chicken bun. Both buns were good but the chicken was better than the shrimp. The dumpling were solid but nothing special. A nice atmosphere, there was a mini Spock photo hidden in a tea cup which was cute. A great restaurant for a nice dinner!“
“My lunch bento box was freshly made and very tasty. The chicken was tender the sauce was not overly sweet nor too much. The vegetables fresh. Only downfall was the California roll which was just ok as were the three small cigar size spring rolls Will definitely go back and try the different items as well as the basic Chinese food items“

“Love me a good hole in the wall spot. This place is very cozy and small. One hibachi table inside that sits 10. And about 10 regular tables. The chef was funny and very accommodating to special requests. I had the steak medium which he actually did medium thankfully. Shrimp was clean! Clap it up for no veins! Lol this passion fruit tea was actually really really delicious. Not too sweet as some passion fruit flavored drinks are. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the scallion pancakes. Maybe if you do just put in the request for it to be crispy. If you are like me and enjoy it that way. Otherwise I'll be back“
