“What an amazing place. We came without a reservation at the suggestion of our innkeeper and had the most delicious meal. The staff was accommodating ( did I mention it was Hudson Valley restaurant week?) and warm. The appetizers, crispy brussel sprouts and mushroom crostini, were meals unto themselves. The pork chop was tender and flavorful with a jammy apricot covering. the pike was flaky and beautifully paired with crab salad and pickled mussels. And the dessert! Olive oil cake that beats Grandma's! Highly recommend!!Parking: Can be tricky if restaurant is full“

“Can't speak much to the dinner, but cocktail hour was good and the grounds are always pretty! The staff were also super helpful and kept making sure the DJ and I were doing alright and see if we needed anything! A great spot for a wedding!“

There's even a small balcony with a view to the Gunks, and a little raised bed of herbs that the bartender uses for drinks... so fresh lavender in your cocktail...be still my senses, only one at a time please! Service is always lovely and welcoming. If you like Bourbon, a cocktail called the "Bees Knees" is the way to go.“

“First stop on our camping trip in the area this weekend and with it only just beginning, we can safely say this was the highlight of the trip. The food, drinks, service and overall essence are 100%. “Been coming here since I got my license, that was 40 years ago. Now that I live in New Paltz I try to get there once a week. Party platter, Chicken BLT, Mac Truck burger or Nachos with Chili is what I usually get. A Guinness is always available and great smiles from all the servers and bartenders. Never been disappointed not once.Parking: If you are lucky you'll be able to park right out front. If not the entire street has parking as well as across the street there's a huge parking lot.“

“Sweeney's is an Irish bar that is old school cool. This is the place to go if you want some good food (Guinness stew is delicious), awesome drinks, and amazing staff, then come to this joint in Walden, NY. It's a hometown bar with a hometown feel and is definitely worth the whiskey ?“

“This bar has that old ruff look. We really liked it there. They had a small menu and a good size craft beer drafts. We ordered mozzarella sticks and spicy garlic Parmesan wings. Food was great! The wings were big! We ordered a couple zombie Dust Ale from 3 Floyd's brewing. The beer was excellent!“

“After our hike in Minnewaska State Park and strolling through the Antiques Barn, my wife and I spent our 2nd Wedding Anniversary dinner here at The Parish. At first, we thought it was just a tavern, but surprisingly as soon as the doors were open, we are amazed by the immediate greeting and the delicious smell. Paulina was very nice, attentive, and simply awesome in serving us and explaining the specials of that evening. We enjoyed both our Chicken and Steak Specials along with our drinks and dessert! We highly recommend this gem!Parking: Parking on the nearby ground can be filled up quickly. Also, the free parking near the movie theater can also be filled up quickly. “Very laid back tavern. While they no longer serve food... which I think is a mistake because they use to make great food... the tavern and bar experience is very good. Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. It's like Cheers... everybody knows your name. I recommend it his place if you prefer a laid back dive bar over a pretentious bar full of bully's from high schooler who for some reason have never out grown that behavior.This is a blue collar, everybody is welcome, kind of bar.“
