“The Gemelli challenge! Catering for 140 people on a 96 degree day and with the humidity feeling around 100 degrees. Perfect day for a big bbq........ well Gemelli’s made this hot day even “hotter” in a good way! Everyone left full and enjoyed everything from the salads to the perfectly cooked burgers, hotdogs, filet mignon , shrimp kabobs and amazing ribs with the secret Gemelli bbq sauce! Gemelli’s authentic pizza man Raffaele bared the heat and made pizza’s in our brick oven to everyone’s delight! A special shoutout to the staff who performed under these conditions with a smile and great attitude! Thank you Gemelli for exceeding our expectations and not only rising to the challenge but making our day extra special! Most of all Adriana and her family were super easy to work with and really care !!! I highly recommend them for your next party, you won’t be disappointed. “Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“

“Incredible. The warmly furnished dining room of Osteria Sardenga was immediately welcoming, and the service only enhanced that feeling, never rushing or interrupting the dinner. But more than the service or atmosphere, the food was the true star, and the meal I had tonight was one of the best I have had in months.
For appetizers I tried the meatballs(juicy and flavorful with a pecorino accented tomato sauce), the Sardinian flatbread(crisp and cracker like covered with cheese and peppery herbs), and the Artichokes which were the best thing I ate that night. Tender and sweet poached insides, contrasted with a crisp and nutty fried outside, and drenched in a lemony sauce; If you order nothing else, order the artichokes.
For my main I had a pasta dish called Malloreddus, which I later learned refered to the small shell like pasta shape and not the rich beef ragu that coated it. And the pasta was the star of the dish, each pleasantly chewy shell scooping up generous amounts of meaty ragu.
As for desserts, I was able to try the chocolate cake(decadent), the tartufo(baseball sized with a generous snappy chocolate shell that melted in the mouth), the pistachio cheesecake(a unique and delicious version that had three layers, one of cake, one that was creamy and white, and a pistachio layer with little crumbles of pistachio in it), and the tiramisu which was maybe the best rendition of tiramisu I had ever tasted. And I'm sure, as the owner said when he slipped the dessert menu in front of us, that there were no bad desserts on the menu. In fact, at this point I would be surprised if a single dish on the menu, or on the extensive specials menu, wasn't good. I will definitely be coming back.

Some small critiques at the end, although my mom won't stop talking about how good the meatballs were, having only two felt a little sad. And my pasta dish was a touch too salty. I wouldn't want this to scare anyone away from ordering either dish though, as both were still excellent.

“We were traveling to the area from out of state for a family gathering, if we were going to Long Island I wanted real Italian Food. After research found this spot, made a reservation based on an estimate on when we would be getting into town.
Ended up being earlier than anticipated, called the restaurant they were able to accommodate my husband and I earlier. Along the way a family member was also getting into town and wanted to join us for dinner, they were able to adjust the reservation on the fly to accommodate us.
The wait staff was awesome. Explained the menu, specials.
Food was delicious.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxed, welcoming. We were able to sit and visit with family without feeling rushed. It was an awesome experience! Wished we lived local to be able to visit more!“

“My wife and I had a healing, incredible meal here. Yes, the food is delicious and well made with generous portions. I can personally recommend the salmon and the pastas. My wife loved the chicken and the soup. The cheesecake is the best we've ever had. The drinks are strong and delicious and well made.

But what's makes this place stand out is the people. The owner loves the food he is making and cares for his staff. The staff seem happy and their energy and joy come across everywhere. We stayed past closing time chatting and eating and drinking.

“Il Gufo is my new favorite GC restaurant, their menu is a breath of fresh air. Unlike many Italian restaurants that are stuck in an Italian food time warp their menu is an update of delicious Italian delicacies. Their choices are like eating in a restaurant in Italy. There is nothing I don’t like that I have ordered at Il Gufo. Service is wonderful I never feel rushed and love how they remove dirty dishes quickly. The topping was neatly sliced apples brushed with a small layer of apple jelly. The crust was the short bread variety. Only $30. I was traveling and didn’t have time to bake so this light but tasty dessert was perfect! Worth visiting for hostess gifts! Nicely wrapped cookies, brownies, quick breads are sold there, too!“
