New American Restaurants near Harrison, NY

“This was my first time going to this restaurant. I was a member of Willow Ridge Country Club for years and I know it was sold the town of Harrison but it is normally not on my radar for restaurants, but that changed last night the menu was fantastic and the prices were reasonable in this economy.The service was good and I know when people really learn about it I probably won't be able to get a reservation! I can't wait until the warmer weather comes because I will be going very often and eating outside! By the way, our waitress Sabrina was very attentive, and her service was outstanding“

Absolutely amazing experience! The food tastes just like authentic home-cooked meals—fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and arrived hot and well-packed. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients.
The portions are generous, and everything from the main dishes to the sides was delicious. It truly feels like eating a comforting homemade meal.

“Love this place! This is my go-to spot for lunch with friends and family. I highly recommend the grilled peach ricotta toast, the hot honey chicken sandwich, the everything pigs in a blanket, the crispy brussels sprouts and any of the smoothies. YUM!

“From the moment I walked in, I thought the place was beautiful and spacious. The lighting was dim—just the way I like it—and the music was perfect. Emely, my server, was very attentive and helped me choose some beers; this restaurant boasts an impressive selection of craft beers from all over the world. Emely helped me make my selection based on my preferences—I happen to love German beers. The food was a 10/10, and the dessert was absolutely to die for. I give it a 10/10 recommendation.“

“Overall experience was fair, service was not that attentive. I felt rushed like I had to eat as fast as I could and leave, the syrup for the French toast was cold, and I order scrambled eggs with cheese with my dish but the egss didn't come out until I was almost done with my French Toast. The coffee is really good, overall I been to Lilly's several times and I will continue to go back, as this one error doesn't take over the overall experiences I've had at the restaurant. The 1 thing I would suggest is put the hostess at the entrance of the tent not the back door of the restaurant, this would eleviate new arriving guest of walking back and forht through other patrons who sitting down and eating, and allow the hostess to thank the guest for coming when they are leaving. Just a suggestion from someone with 30 years experience in the restaurant sector. JC“

“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“

They surprised her with a dessert with a candle and everyone made a point to wish her a happy birthday as we exited the restaurant which was a nice touch. The shakes are decent but $11 .
No frills decent bar but gluten free buns are little too thick that takes away from the burger..“

“Decided to go to modern on the rails for date night as was recommended by a friend of mine. The place was amazing. Nothing but amazing and excellent things to say. Not good or great but EXCELLENT and AMAZING. from the moment we were greated by the hostess to the moment we left. We orderd the classic calamari which was fantastic it wasn't rubbery like you get at most places and the mussels marina was excellent. For our entrees we had the brazino fish which my wife loved it was cooked to perfection abscess wasn't heavy at all. The grill veggies that came with it had the perfect char on them. I had the pork ossso bunch over risotto which I was reluctant to try but I'm glad I did. The pork shanks was a generous portion as well as delicious and presented in an elegant way over the wild mushroom risotto. When I go out in westchester again this is going to be one of the places I would go back to over and over again.

“Pleasantly surprised by how amazing this restaurant. I have passed it a millions times and never thought much about it. A coworker mentioned they had a good happy hour so I checked out their menu and decided we would try for dinner instead. From the minute you open the door you know it’s going to be good. Beautifully decorated, dimly lit, romantic & clean. We opted for the surf and turf and the swordfish - never imagined how generous the portions would be. The dishes were simple yet perfectly flavored. Our waiter Drini was kind and informative.

“I vividly remember the old Mercurio store the was on the Avenue across from this one. What a classic Italian deli, with the servers dressed in white smocks. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“

I always get the roast beef panini w/ chicken soup… SOOOO GOOD! My daughter is a picky eater, and loves they food! ESPECIALLY the chicken soup! Great restaurant!“

“My lunch was excellent the Citrus Lime Salad with skirt steak perfectly cooked medium and so tender. The salad wasn't overly dressed. My daughter had the cheese tortellini pasta she said the sauce was too sweet. The views from the dining room were great. We entered during a rush period so the service was a little slow and it was a little chilly in the dining room. Overall a great lunch!“
