“This restaurant has potential for people looking for vegetarian dishes but things can be improved.

I ordered the veggie bowl, specifically because it contained avocado. When my plate arrived it was missing two ingredients, the sauerkraut and the avocado. I told the cashier about the missing ingredients and she brought me sauerkraut but they did not have avocado.

This situation could be fixed if the cook had told the cashier that there was no avocado. That way the cashier can tell the customers and they would be able to order another dish. That is how things work in other restaurants.

Additionally, I found the beans a bit bland. The flavor of the beans could be improved by cooking the beans with a little onion and fresh garlic, or a bit of cilantro.

In conclusion, there is a good variety of vegetarian dishes, the experience could be improved by proper communication between the staff and flavor enhancement. I hope to see these changes in the future.“

“Harry really makes the BEST acai bowls around but all his bowls are incredible! He will customize it but the presentation and freshness outshines all others! All the products (and I have tried almost all of them!) he has are super fresh and refreshing! The smoothies are awesome as well!Forget all the fast food and find Juice Eternity you won’t regret it! Harry gives great service with his fun attitude and knowledge and is always up for a new idea!!“

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.“

Going with friends and/or family who haven't been before, makes the experience even more enjoyable. Straight-away, newcomers are impressed as they review the eclectic menu. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Ready for this - we ordered: 2 orders of Pulled Pork Sliders, 2 orders of Brie Stuffed Pretzels, Asador Corn, Watermelon Salad, 2 orders of Smoked Ribs, Shrimp & Grits, and Chinese Chicken Salad. My wife and I got the waiter on the side, explained we had a Birthday Gal at the table, and ordered an assorted dessert board for the table. Moments later, the board was presented with a glowing birthday sparkler and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. Nearby patrons could be heard saying, "We'll have what they're having!" It was another memorable, Great Time at Southern Table. Bravo to the Chef and Staff!“

“The most delicious and nutritious food from their appetizers and samplers to the entrées and the scrumptious desserts. They are vegan, kosher and gluten free and they accommodate restrictions. We always have their Mediterranean sampler and their penne a la bolognese. We tried their pesto penne yesterday and it was so tasty! We also had their buffalo cauliflower wings for a lil kick! My Mother’s Day would not be complete without their chocolate cranberry tart! We also had their Turmeric Latte (coconut milk) to go. In the past we have also had their salads which are so fresh and flavorful! There is something for every palate. “I had an amazing experience from A to Z. The pink appetizer was a wonderful dish made from red cabbage. The grilled calamari stuffed with seafood was unlike anything I've ever had. The stuffed salmon was legendary, and most importantly, the lamb shank that came out of the oven was very good and tender. Everything was delicious, and the service was friendly and very satisfying. The special pear dessert was also perfectly made. I highly recommend it!“

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

We ordered from the special prix fixe menu that had so many great choices, it was hard to choose.
We settled on the scallops over polenta and the spring rolls with teryaki to start, and the panko horseradish flounder and grilled shrimp salad. Desert was the poached pear with raspberry sorbet.
Everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The wait staff is friendly and extremely efficient, and just make dining there such a terrific experience!“

The food was fresh, nicely seasoned, a great portion for $10 and kept me satisfied till much later in the evening. The restaurant is small and is located in a strip mall on Central Avenue in Yonkers. We got there a bit before peak lunch time, so we were able to get a table easily, and while we were sitting eating, the spot got busier and busier. Would go back for sure!“
