“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

Very cute and dimly lit inside with board games and pinball machines to play which I found extremely unique. The highlight of my night was meeting the bartender, Dee. She was adorable and very sweet. No issue with availability and service, very attentive.
Chicken dish with sauce ok, but asparagus flimsy and green bean sized while mashed potatoes served ice cream scoop and lacking in flavor.
Long awaited favorite of mine, fish and chips.
Fish better than most in area, still lacking in wow factor while the (chips) were a flimsy mess , no crisp or seasoning.
As to beer, Stella was fine but Blue Moon dark and flat.

“Stopped for a cocktail after a day of museums and dumplings and walking, they were perfect. I loved my mule and the milk punch was great too. We got to try a cucumber cocktail as well, so good. Liz was behind the bar, very attentive and helpful and made a solid cocktail! We’ll have to come back to try the food. Get the mule!“

“Excellent coffee shop on Long Island, come for the caffeine and stay for the community. We stopped by my mom’s favorite coffee shop mid-afternoon, because the family was trying to kill me with caffeine deprivation. The oat milk latte was carefully made and smooth and easy to drink. The interior is great, for a brief moment in time you are anywhere in the World with roll up garage doors, fooseball and a clean setting for evening entertainment. I’ll be back next time I’m visiting!“

“Love this cozy little bar! The owners are the best! They really made this bar such a friendly good experience! They only take cash venmo or cashapp. The cocktails are refined and delicious. The bar staff is always happy to have a conversation and they really are just the friendliest! Every bartender has a different night so it always feels different. Love LOVE the fun decor! “This is such a cool spot for a get together with friends in Ridgewood. We went after dinner from Rolos and our bartender provided great explanations and recommendations for our drinks. The drinks were made well, but most importantly this bar has a very cool ambiance, and very much similar to a lounge experience.
