“I've found my new favorite sandwich spot in the city! The game-changer is their freshly baked, homemade bread - it elevates the entire experience. The coffee is also perfectly crafted, with just the right balance of sugar, almond milk, and rich flavor.
But what truly sets this gem apart is the warm atmosphere and exceptional service. The owner's kindness and hospitality made us feel right at home. She even surprised us with a complimentary treat on our way out!
What impressed me most was her generosity and trust. She encouraged us to enjoy our meal without rushing to pay, showing that she genuinely cares about her customers' experience.
If you're looking for a truly exceptional dining experience, look no further!“

“Overall a great coffee place. I always get a mocha, and have 2 mini donuts with it one vanilla crème and one hazelnut. i've also tried 2 of the croissant sandwiches one with prosciutto and the turkey one and both were great- the croissants themselves are really soft and buttery. even though i live a mile away i still walk here every week“

“Love this place. They have La Colombe coffee drinks which are excellent, and a variety of fresh baked pastries and hearty filled croissants plus fresh pressed juice bottles and immunity drinks etc.
The vibe is very refreshing for the area and feels like something straight out of LA or Brooklyn with floor to ceiling windows and a special area in the side room for dogs and people to hang. Extra props for the compostable straws.“
“I definitely recommend ! Perfect spot to hangout with family and friends ! Thank you abhi for a very fun weekend“

“Injermi croffle- 9/10
Love the nutty flavors of the croffle. It was perfectly paired with vanilla ice cream.
Blueberry latte- 8.5/10
Very light and creamy, and it was not too sweet!
Strawberry latte-9/10
Same as the blueberry latte, but I prefer the taste of strawberry more
Jeju island- 8/10
The drink is very pretty. If affogato was a drink, it would be this.
Brown cheese croffle- 7.9/10
I prefer the injermi croffle more, this one was a bit too cheesy flavor for me. It is salty and sweet.“

“This is so close to my home and great for the neighborhood. The staff are great. I ordered a Mocha. It tasted great. Too strong a drink for so late in the day. Their baked goods look amazing. I didn't try any of those as of yet. I have only been there once but since I work from home, it's nice to have a place nearby to getaway from working and living out of my home. Thanks for opening up a nice cafe for us. Our neighborhood needs something nicer than Dunkin Donuts.“

“We visited this coffee shop today. I had a turkey bacon omelette. It was simply amazing. From the tasteful presentation of food to the deliciousness and the ambiance of the coffee shop. It was so amazing! My experience today makes me want to visit this coffee shop every time I come to New York City!“

“Excellent coffee, matcha, tea, and treats!
Their standard menu is excellent but their ever-changing seasonal menu is next level. Check out their Instagram for the latest. Past seasonal drinks from memory: the sweet corn einspanner (crossing fingers for a fall return!), the marshmallow dream cream (yum!), blueberry matcha latte, and most recently the apricot cardamom espresso tonic. All delicious and unique. I also really appreciate that they have non-caffeine options for kids and adults alike - even the decaf espresso is great. You'll also want to save room for their treats and...If you're still reading this, just go already.“

“Just ordered on Grubhub for the first time. We just got food, and the bagel was great. Not as big as a typical bagel shop bagel, but good size and decent amount of cream cheese (I don’t like too much.) my boyfriend enjoyed his grilled cheese and muffin as well.“

“I’ve been here about ten times. The two owners (Sezane and Apo; I could be misspelling their names) are each entertaining and friendly. It’s a great place to come work for an hour or two: tranquil, comfortable seating indoors (if a bit narrow) and outdoor tables on a sidestreet just off 30th Ave. Also, they have freshly baked Turkish treats and savory food. They’re very welcoming here. Highly recommend!“

“Best cafe I’ve been to in New York to be honest. Love the owners sooo much they are so kind, creative and welcoming. A really cute spot to have a drink and snack and get work done or relax and unwind. Also love the vibe of the shop with all the old movies that used to be my faves. Anyways don’t skip on visiting while you’re out here!!“

“The best coffee shop I've visited in awhile, Coffee is brewed to perfection! The day i visited they had just brought out a tray of almond croissants from the kitchen and I must say that it was the best croissant I've ever had. They also have a nice selection of breakfast sandwiches and other pastries. I do not live in this neighborhood but will be returning to try“

“This place is incredible! Not only is there fast internet and affordable food, the servers are really nice and collect your plates when you’re done eating. The decorations, music and furniture make a nice, peaceful atmosphere. There are plenty of places to sit with an outdoor section, as well as a room further inside for larger groups which I’ve been using with my friends for study sessions.“

“The coffee house is chill, places to sit, wait time isn't bad at all. The staff are kind and accommodating and the prices are fair too (trust me, it's not outrageous!)
Besides that, this place host some events on Thursdays (every other Thursday, dont quote me though) and if you're new to Sunnyside I recommend it!
TLDR: support local and come here!“

“*THE BEST COFFEE SPOT IN ASTORIA*
The staff is GREAT 5 star ?, nice ,talkative, knowledgeable about menu and extras. GREAT ENERGY overall. The main reason I keep coming back other than the Chagachino ?.
SPACE- IS 3 parts the front / people watch enjoy the breeze / Inside to smell the food cooking and over hear conversation while working/ The back with +++ seating there is an in depth floral setup ?.
I could keep going but check them out!
My order - Chagachino + expresso + caramel on cup + extra ice = a good day!“

“Came here today for lunch with my husband and daughter this afternoon and we had the French toast and dumplings. In the excitement of ordering (because everything looked delicious), We thought we had ordered egg ramen soup, but we didn’t. The manager was kind enough to let us try it, which was super sweet of her. Everything was DELICIOUS. The decor of the restaurant is also perfect. It makes you feel like you are in Tibet and even sells clothing, jewelry and rugs for those wanting to take little Tibet home with them.
This place is a hidden gem and if you’re ever in the area, you must try! We look forward to returning.“

“Found this place when looking for a new cozy coffee spot. My boyfriend lives in Flushing so this was close enough for us to drive to, and the crepes looked so good. We came in on a cold snowy day, and immediately felt the warmth of fresh coffee and sweet fluffy crepes. We also got a croissant sandwich which was one of our favorite breakfast foods lately. The owner, George, was so friendly, and we spent a while just chatting to him about shared interests and family life.If you’re looking for a welcoming place to enjoy some great food, yummy coffee, and where you’re supporting a small business instead of a corporation, Maillard is for you. Worth the drive even from Long Island. We’ll be back soon!“

“I love this place!!! I come here to get my work done on my laptop and I love the fact that they have cozy couches & armchairs besides regular chairs for long term sitting (They have Wi-Fi). So cozy, comfortable and inviting. The staff is super friendly and they make good drinks! (I love their Chai Latte and Iced/Hot Peach Coconut Matcha Latte). They have really chill music too (indie rock/60s rock/Radiohead etc.). They also have live music events with performers and bands on certain days, where the locals join in and show support. They have a selection of food as well (BLT, Avocado Toast, Muffins, Cookies, Scones and more). Overall, great service, good food & drinks and very nice atmosphere!!“

The coffee tastes good and the atmosphere is nice. It is mainly used by young people, but the customer base is diverse.“

“If you’re a dayroom yuppie who wants to doomscroll while drinking bland coffee, kindly go to a corporate chain. If however, you want a café that not only has robust coffee & espresso, but a thriving community of artists, poets, and intellectuals, get yourself to the Boogie Down Grind! Like the great cafes of fin de siecle Paris or 50s Greenwich Village, this Hunts Point coffee shop is a nexus for creative people. Don’t miss their Wednesday open mic night!“

“My favorite cafe! It has a great layout and vibe, the coffee is some of the best I have had in the area. It is made with love and you can tell. They make all their syrups in house so they are not full of crap and overly sweet.
They serve yummy food to complement your drinks, they also have games, WiFi and plugs for your laptops. It is a nice plus they have super unique beers for your choosing as well. Highly recommend!“

“A hidden gem in Flushing! Stopped by this cute little cafe tucked away behind some residential apartments nearly everyday on my last trip to NYC. They offer a great selection of coffee and matcha drinks. I personally loved their iced matcha Genmaicha and their spicy tuna and salmon teriyaki onigiri. The Matcha Genmaicha is my ideal morning tea, pure green in color and no additives. Onigiri’s are priced at 3.99 each and tasted very fresh. The decor is lovely inside but there is hardly any space to sit down. Service here is very fast and friendly. They also offer a punch card for returning customers.“
