“Ran over real quick on my lunch break. It was a rainy day and I was looking for comfort food. I definitely found it. I ordered boneless spare ribs and egg drop soup. It was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. The young man at the counter noticed me immediately and I asked him if they had smart pay, which of course they do. The food was delicious! I was skeptical at first because I haven't been there or tried their menu before. It was exactly what I was looking for on that rainy day. Great flavor and great portions as well. I can see myself making New China a weekly thing.“

“Ming Star takeout in Huntington, an extraordinary Chinese establishment that often flies under the radar. Now, let me tell you, it's about time this place gets the recognition it deserves. The kitchen here is producing top-notch dishes that'll make your taste buds do a victory dance. As you step in, you're hit with the symphony of sizzling oil and the rhythmic melody of metal on the hot wok. It's like a culinary orchestra, and trust me, they're playing all the right notes. The atmosphere may be reminiscent of a 1990s classic, but the flavors are anything but outdated. They don't just serve you reheated leftovers; oh no, they're crafting each dish fresh to order. Now, that's the commitment to quality that I want to see in every kitchen. The lunch special? Don't even get me started—it's a game-changer. Picture this: chicken fried rice, but we're not stopping there. Add a glorious egg and throw in some extra bean sprouts for that crunch that elevates the whole experience. So, next time you're craving Chinese takeout in Huntington, do yourself a favor and head to Ming Star. It's a hidden gem, and after one bite, you'll wonder why you haven't been singing its praises sooner.“

“Walking into Sakana feels like stepping into a secret you can’t wait to share. The sushi is ridiculously fresh. Salmon that melts, rolls that don’t need to be drowned in sauce, just pure flavor in every bite.
The vibe? Spot on. When I walk in, I am welcomed like I am a part of the family. Whether you’re on a date, out with friends, or treating yourself (coming alone is such a vibe btw), it works every time.
And the staff—welcoming without trying too hard. They actually see you, which makes the whole experience flow even smoother.
Bottom line: Sakana doesn’t just serve delicious Asian cuisine, they spoil you and you won't want any other sushi place after. Don’t blame me if you get hooked after one visit but leave my table free lol. 😉“

“Noodumpling in Hicksville is an absolute gem! I stopped in recently and was blown away by how fresh and flavorful everything was. The dumplings are some of the best I’ve had—juicy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care.
The staff was super friendly and patient when explaining the menu, and the food came out quickly even though the place was busy. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the whole restaurant feels clean and welcoming.
If you love authentic noodles and dumplings, this place needs to be on your list. I’m already planning my next visit! 🍜🥟“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“This would be compared to a highly upscale Panda. If you wanted Panda type dishes, only cooked with much better ingredients and with much better flavor, this is where it’s at. Really good garlicky fried rice. The clear broth won ton soup was very hot and hit the spot. I loved their orange chicken, which had a good little kick of spice to it. And the grilled shrimp in their farm fresh infusion was so good and the biggest hit.
This isn’t pre-made like Panda, so it takes a minute to cook and it’s well worth it. The freshness is appreciated ! I’ll be joining their rewards“

“What long island lacks is a truly clean (flavor) and delicious Chinese food spot. Been living in nassau for over 20 years i’ve tried all the chinese food spots. But this one right here? The best.
I may be a bit biased here. But I dislike when chinese food places use old oil and drench everything in grease. Asian house has clean flavor, where you can actually taste the ingredients (from the vegetable fried rice). One thing that I always get from chinese food spots to know their quality is by ordering their shrimp toast. Every other spot i’ve been to near by will serve a burnt, nearly black, old grease filled shrimp toast. But at Asian house, they served me a golden brown shrimp toast where the oil tasted fresh and i can actually taste the shrimp.
I truly have found my chinese food spot for good.“

“Wonderful Cantonese food prepared by warm, outgoing family. Delicious favorites like Chicken Chow Mein, Spareribs on the bone, Egg Foo Young, Chicken with Broccoli never disappoint. Pepper Steak could use more steak(which they will add for an upcharge), Egg Rolls a bit of a disappointment. Prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere suffers from some front of the counter storage, like many storefront restaurants, old, dated sinage, and covid era counter barriers.“

“Wontons in chili oil very good. Enjoyed the scallion pancakes as well. The Kung Pao chicken was okay. Maybe too sweet. And the hot peppers were diced up in the dish. They are husky and not enjoyable to eat. Had to pick each little piece out. Better imho to leave them whole. I did not enjoy the dry pot at all. The flavor profile was very odd to me but others may like it.“

“I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a baby, so I might be a little biased. But this restaurant is the BEST. Their bourbon chicken never disappoints. It’s sweet, tangy, and delicious. Coupled with their sides of rice and beans, it is amazing.
Also, the food is very cheap. One meal can cost only 11 dollars, and for the amount of food that comes with it, it’s a great deal.
In addition, the lady who runs this restaurant is extremely nice. She recognizes me and my family every time we go, even saying my name.
I love this woman. I love this restaurant. I really don’t understand the negative reviews, the restaurant is great.“

“One of the best places around. Egg drop soup has flavor. Sesame chicken is great. Fried cheese wontons are a little sweet, just the way we like them! So far everything we’ve tried is great. And you get soup or drink with combo. Many places don’t do that anymore. Friendly staff.“
“What a pleasant surprise. The outside doesn’t look like much. But the inside was really new & modern looking. The food was really good. It was a crowd pleaser with all the different Asian choices. All of our kids favorites. We didn’t do hamachi this time but it looked like a lot of fun from the other tables. We’ll definitely be back. Our tummies are happy & full.“

“Cheapest in price but not in quality! Food isn’t greasy like other places, and it’s the least expensive Chinese takeout I’ve found in the area. Not to mention there’s only a $10 minimum for delivery when other places are at least $15“

“I had the general Tsos chicken, it was crunchy, flavorful and well worth the price for the amount given. The staff is also really friendly. The design of the menu and interiors was like the cookie cutter pattern seen in Chinese restaurants all over the island.“

“This is one of the best old school takeout Chinese food places in Huntington. All of your favorites are cooked. Delicious the chicken and broccoli is amazing. A lot of their combinations are a good bang for a buck and the woman that works. There is very very nice and accommodating don’t judge a book by its cover don’t judge the front they push out some really good takeout Chinese food and they deliver. I’ve been ordering from here For the last 15 years. The dinner is priced reasonably a lot of selections and lunch special is $8.65 and comes with soda soup or an eggroll. You can’t beat that.“

“Great place to enjoy peanuts and leave shells on the floor while you wait for a seat. You can even have them at your table. The warm bread with honey butter is the next event to fill your stomach before the actual meal starts. Chili is a great appetizer. I think most of the side dishes are fine. Steaks are good but whatever you do, stay away from any sirloin. Even prepared at medium, it tastes and chews like shoe leather and not the rich Corinthian leather kind. I've been there numerous times, but I guess the visits are spread out enough that I forget to avoid the sirloin. My default cheap nature guides me to sirloin and I regret it after the first bite. Ribeye, NY strip and anything else is fine. I'm not sure I know what their “road kill†cut is or how it tastes.“

“Most consistent Chinese takeout spot I've had. Food is always hot and fresh. Plenty of sauce with the dishes, some places are hit or miss with the amount of sauce in the dish. Usually come here for lunch because it's local, but for now on when I am home and want some takeout I will drive the extra 15 minutes because it's so worth it.“

“Vegetarian chicken menu items...I don't know of any other Chinese restaurant in the immediate area that offers this! I usually have to settle for tofu and veggies. The owners are really friendly too. Ni hao!
Update: new owners are choosing frozen items instead of what seemed like freshly cooked (i.e. dumplings, scallion pancakes) and cooked in much more oil. The quality of some menu items has gone down.“

“food is amazing- however I had a very unpleasant experience. One of the first few times I ordered delivery from them I was about to give my card number and I just picked the card up from my lap and while I was doing that the lady yelled into my ear "hellooo" it was a loud and long hello and i apologized, it was just one split second and I just can't believe the impatience someone can have if they're in the customer service business. If your going to ask if the customer if there still there just do it politely. I love the food here and this establishment just learn some manners please.“

“Ordered takeout because was in town for medical procedure on family member. Ordered from another restaurant yesterday and was very disappointed with their food. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality & portion of my beef with broccoli & my chicken with broccoli orders. There was plenty of the proteins and the broccoli was fresh and crunchy. The sauce was perfect (not too salty, spicy) as we came from the hospital so there was no chancing anything that could upset the stomach. We also ordered chicken wings which were made fresh. There was plenty of napkins & sauce with our order. No complaints. This place should have a higher rating. They are the best Chinese takeout place in the area.“
“I eat here a few times a week. I love the food. Would totally recommend it.“

“Cane here for the 1st time, and the food was great. A bunch of my co-workers placed an order, and I was sure that they would get something wrong, but everything was perfect. Great food and even the women behind the counter were great. She threw in some free wantons because we spent so much. I got the boneless pork and it is prepared differently than most places do. They use chunks of ribs rather than the thin stripes many other places do. Dumpling were great!...recommend 100%“

“I love this place and the fact that they deliver. There is one other place we love but they don't deliver and now that I tried Yhum Yhum,. honestly, there's no turning back. We ordered for the first time like 2 weeks ago and since our kitchen is being remodeled and we cant use it have ordered like 3 times already lol. I always saw this place when my mom used to get hair cuts over there but never went and tried it- happy we decided to order and check it out. My son asks for the sesame chicken and lomein all the time, and they have really great brown sauce also. Also the very closest things i found found to old school friend rice in a very long time. Reminds me of queens fried rice. Enjoy!“
