“Since I was a child this has been my families go-to ice house. I live 30 minutes away from this AMAZING ice house and it is worth the time to get there. The best ice house on Long Island, in my opinion. They are celebrating 50 years for a reason. All of the ices have so much flavor and Pistachio is my favorite.

“I did a take out order at the East Islip location. The food was good but the super melts do not seem to have much meat on them like they use to. If the prices are going up with less portions that’s going to be a problem for Friendly’s. I would hate to see them go out of business because I love Friendlys too!!“

“Ice cream seems to be fresh all the time. The ice cream sandwiches are filled.Some of the carvels don't fill them all the way.. The Carvel on portion road have icicles in theirs. Also , the people that run the carvel on middle country road , are very friendly.“

“Went to get some ice-cream after dinner. The staff greeted us as we walked in the door. They were quick and efficient. They double checked that certain ice-cream were okay to have with my food allergy. They have a freezer full of premade ice-creams and cakes or you can pick from different size cones or cups. They have different flavors of soft serve or hard ice-cream and many different toppings to choose from. They don't have any seating so we had to take it to go. I was so intent on eating my ice-cream I forgot to take pictures.“

“Kool Kat supplied icecream at my granddaughter birthday party Saturday the 22 of August. It was the Highlight of the day. When everyone heard the beeping of the truck backing into my driveway the happy shouting started. Every adult and child came out to have some. The operator was so pleasant to my guests. Some came back for seconds. The ease of communication to the owners was a breeze throughout. All by text. I would recommend Kool Kat to all my friends and family.“

“We had our daughter’s 3rd birthday here this past weekend. The party was flawless and stress free. Alicia was so accommodating from the moment I inquired up until the very end of our party. We did not feel rushed, the place was so clean, the staff were wonderful and put up our decorations for us! Five stars!“

“I coach the three young boys of the owners here for swimming and have been looking forward to trying out their restaurant and coming here for desert. I ended up getting take out last night but still had to stop by to grab froyo for after. Not a single regret. I had had their frozen yogurt before from them having brought it in to an SSC practice for the kids to enjoy (Goat move) but this was the first time I had gone into the store. The whole place had a lovely atmosphere full of life and enjoyment. There were teenagers hanging out, people talking, the owner making sure everything was going smoothly, it all around had an incredible and nostalgic vibe. Additionally the selection was fantastic, heaps of options to choose from, many of which being fat free, and gluten free options available! The huge cherry on top is the owners are absolutely fantastic people and seeing how they treat their staff and guests like family it is easy to see how they are raising such incredible young men. Definitely recommend trying out and stopping next door to try the Dragon Chinese Resta next door owned by the same family! (I know Ill be back!:))“

“I’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. The Italian ice is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The owner truly takes pride in his business and works incredibly hard to provide a great product while keeping prices fair.

I spent some time there one afternoon and gained a whole new appreciation for what it takes to run a small business. It’s amazing how creative people can be when things don’t quite go their way, but he handled every interaction with patience, professionalism, and respect. It reminded me that there’s always more going on behind the counter than most people realize.“

“Always love going to Ralph’s. It’s my favorite dessert shop when I want something light. Been going here for over a decade. Glad it’s still around even after so long.

I usually get the strawberry, cotton candy, or recently the green apple flavor! The large is more than enough but medium is perfectly fine.“

“I stopped in for ice cream, and my card kept getting declined, despite there being plenty of money on it. I kept asking the girls to scan the card at the top of the POS machine, and they kept telling me they cannot scan the card until the card was entered into the machine three times. I have never encountered this before.I really think there is a mistake, because the scan option was implemented to protect consumers from having to enter or swipe their cards at a POS machine. I never scan my card at retail establishments anymore; I always scan my card at the top of the machine, and my payment is always accepted. I am never told I need to enter my card three times before scanning.It ends up some lovely woman paid for my ice cream anyway, which I am highly appreciative of.“

“Ive done the research in an 18 mile radius (east to west) from this place. This place and torta fina have the best cookies. Insomnia’s cookies are WARM AND GOOEY!!!
