“I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. “5 stars are not enough to tell you how good this place is. We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“

Margie's has one of THE best burgers I have ever had in my entire life and that says a lot because I consider myself a sandwich/burger connoisseur. It's so simple and I believe that's what makes the burger shine. Paired with the atmosphere and the beach town vibes, it's hard for me to go anywhere else when I'm in need of a good burger. I moved here from Texas a year ago and love everything about the city (except for the rent), but I do miss Tex Mex and good tortillas. New Mexican is its own cuisine and sure hits the spot while also being healthier, and those tortillas are a game changer. So glad to have found this place, just had breakfast from here, and am already looking forward to going back.“

“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. “Gator is a standout restaurant. Definitely in the running for best brunch in Greenpoint. I’m absolutely shocked that this place isn’t full to the brim every weekend. Every item on their menu is carefully devised, unique, and created to a very high standard. Their green eggs and ham are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Full of flavor, perfectly cooked. The flatbread?? “I was first introduced to Carla's two years ago and I have been dreaming of both their Hibiscus Margaritas and Grilled Corn Romaine Salad ever since. YES A SALAD!

Happy to say I finally had the opportunity to return for an intimate birthday celebration and everything was just how I remembered it.

Cute and quaint, with good service and food, a great vibe!

Without a doubt I absolutely ordered the roasted corn salad. It has tomatoes, avocado, roasted corn, Romain lettuce, and an amazing dressing. I added the pan seared chicken. The chicken was super flavorful and juicy, and extremely tender, not overdone. The salad was magical just as I remembered it. In addition the guac was fresh and the Hibiscus Margs was a tasty way to wash it all down.

It's amazing how I dream about this salad. It's a good thing I don't live close because I would have no problem factoring in this salad which is a little pricey into an almost daily budget. Lol.

Needless to say I will not be reminiscing about this salad for two years again. I will be back sooner than you think.

We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. They graciously adjusted the reservation at short notice, gave us a fantastic booth, the atmosphere, service and the food were all superb! The pre theater menu is a terrific value with high quality options from the regular menu-the lobster bisque, filet, and desserts (10 layer carrot cake and warm butter cake) were all delicious. I get the impression that locals regularly come here for the impeccable service (I watched the team expertly watching every detail from the sidelines and they immediately noticed and addressed everything). I'm definitely trying my nearby Ocean Prime soon!“

“First time at Amy Ruth’s and it did not disappoint. We were immediately greeted and seated. The waitress was attentive and wonderful. We definitely didn’t feel rushed which was great. This way we could throughly enjoy the meal and also just our lunch conversation.

Restaurant is so spacious that we had our privacy. Unlike a lot of NYC restaurants where tables are so close together.

Most important the food. The food was well worth the trip from Jersey. It was the best fried chicken I’ve had. All the sides were a great enhancement to the meal. Really delicious. Of course we had to finish our meal with dessert. We selected two items made in-house and they did not disappoint.

Only negative is that I’m not closer to the restaurant to eat there more often. Definitely worth the trip and highly recommended for a meal that just feels like comfort.
