“These prices r better in NJ. The lunch is 1099 and you also can take lunch out to go home. The only good thing here is that you can have the lunch time in and just have to wait to pack it up to take it to go home what's a lunch is 1299 here in N.Y. Also the food in NJ was cooked better I had to return the pasta for some new one cooked properly. Cold meat.“

When it came to dessert, my son asked “can we get another skate?” Flavors were balanced and full and the skate, beef longanisa and momos were the favorites for us. It is very cozy and homey and the service felt like family. Oh, and my watermelon cocktail was excellent too. We are so excited about Ramro being so close and in the neighborhood; this will be our new family favorite.“

On the recommendation of our server, Tom, we ordered the sunchokes for an appetizer and cheeseburger and risotto for mains. Favorite bite of the night were the sunchokes with fresh parm and pepper sauce. The cheeseburger and risotto were also outstanding and generously portioned. For dessert, our server recommended an unforgettable parsnip sponge cake with a decadent heap of cream cheese buttercream. The knowledgeable and friendly service made the dining experience warm and welcoming. I’ll be back!“

“Im a local and have been coming to Bernie’s for some years now and have never left a review which I should have because the good is consistently delicious, served hot and customer service always has been on point.

Last night my reservation for a steakhouse in the city was cancelled so I went to my old faithful. Not a long wait at all and the host periodically checked in as he always does to give me updates and options if I didn’t want to wait for the bar seat. Everything was delicious as usual and the customer next to me was celebrating her birthday I said happy birthday and mentioned it was mines also.

The bartender asked if I wanted dessert and I declined but then she did the sweetest, most thoughtful thing and popped up with ice cream. she’s like you need to blow out a candle today. And also comped a glass of wine(I’m too elderly for shots) and let me tell you this birthday was nothing short of a disaster. which is why I was out eating alone. We arrived early ahead of our dinner reservation and started with drinks at the bar, which ended up being one of the highlights of the evening. The spicy margarita with Tanteo Tequila was fantastic, and the Berries & Bubbles cocktail was amazing as well. For dinner, we originally came in thinking seafood, but the steak options on the menu looked too good to pass up and we were very glad we changed direction. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect for a date night, and the service was attentive throughout. Great drinks, great meal, and a really memorable experience. “I didn’t expect to like this place as much as I did, but honestly everything we had was delicious. The fried chicken was incredible, but what really surprised me was the chicken and waffle combo — I had no idea that would work so well together, but it absolutely does.

We ordered the Rev. Al Sharpton and the President Obama, plus collard greens and black eyed peas on the side. Both sides were really good, but the black eyed peas stood out for me — super flavorful and comforting. The collard greens were also great and tasted very authentic.

On top of that, the price was more than reasonable for the amount and quality of food we got. Definitely not expensive for what it is.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition.
