“I’ve been coming to Rolo’s since they first opened and they really never disappoint. The food just gets better and better. Everything is amazing but my hands down favorite is the shrimp. I’d say it’s easily some of if not the best shrimp I’ve ever had in my life. The whole menu just compliments itself from the Calabrian chili butter to the wagyu steak. Also, Sitting in the back of the restaurant is such a cool experience because you get to watch the chefs work their magic on that wood fire grill. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in NYC and in my top 5.“
“The place is beautiful and very well decorated. We were there for Saturday morning brunch. I recommend the American breakfast which is well served for the price. The meat and potatoes are well seasoned. The bread basket is a little expensive for what’s inside, especially for a French person :)“
“Lovely people, lovely place, incredibly delicious food! Ingredients are very fresh, often from the local farmers market. There are both very creative dishes and classics on the menu. The Queensboro is a special restaurant that not only cares about the quality of their food and atmosphere, but also sincerely cares about the community.Kid-friendliness: Roomy and fun space that is very comfortable for those bringing children. The staff is super friendly with children as well!“
“Great take on Lu rou fan (minced pork and rice), excellent scallion pancakes and awesome dessert (Tian miantuan) that was like a sandwich of sweet fried dough, golden sesame ice cream and condensed milk (plus cilantro and butter dried peanuts)! Great beverages as well such as the slightly sweetened Jasmine iced tea and Sanzo (lychee & calamansi) sparkling water products!“
“We had eaten atWe had eaten at Winona’s before and really enjoyed it but when we heard there was a new chef at the helm, we were very hesitant the food would take a turn for the worse. Happy to report we were VERY wrong.Chef Dan Gonzalez is making a really tasty and surprising menu! Every dish was thought out with care and so incredibly tasty. Each new item brought a surprise and delight. The Hake with celery was stunning, the cavatelli with lamb was exceptional, the salad was a star too - flavor in every component! We also opted for a special that was a pasta with uni and citrus with some peppers and it was truly a memorable, delicious dish.In addition to the amazing food, the service was excellent too. Knowledgeable, kind and low key. They were attentive but not overbearing or pushy. We had a late guest in our party and they were so sweet about checking in with us.The space is also cute, so really this is a 10/10 experience.Highly recommend and so excited to come back to try more of Chef Dans incredible food!“
“I went there for my 56th birthday and I had a wonderful time. The staff was efficient. And friendly. I will be going back. The only thing I had a problem with that The Collard Greens and String Beans was cook with pork and I don’t eat pork. And I really wanted them Collard Greens. I know Golden Corral is base on the South but can They be some Collard Greens and String Beans cooked in turkey meat for the near future?“
“Been meaning to check this out for a while now and finally got to it, and now I’m kicking myself for not going earlier. Everyone’s right about the Mussels, they’re not to be missed. Burrata and Pork Shoulder Pasta were also a hit. Drinks are creative and tasty! This is definitely a restaurant where you’ll want to go back to try every item. Staff was very friendly, kitchen bar is a fun spot. Loved!“
“100% SOLD ALL. THE. TIME. This is my go-to spot when I want to have something a little special and the price point fits within my budget. No matter the dish, it always hits the spot and I'm always pleased that I'm paying for a dish that isn't outrageous compared to other restaurants in the area that are serving similar items. I also appreciate the service - everyone is friendly ans offers great suggestions. Specials are always worth visiting again and again. GO!!“
“SEARCH NO MORE for your next intimate & fun party venue! CHARLIE'S, The Bonnie's sister bar right next door was everything I dreamed of and more for my 30th Birthday party. Let me set the scene for ya'll... 35 of my closest friends, Game of Thrones themed decor & fits, cocktails that made everyone say "I drink and I know things" and the most fire food in the neighborhood... the party was a SLAY. Tali, the company's event coordinator, is the sweetest, most hard-working, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to your event. She even went above and beyond to surprise me with a GOT themed menu by naming my cocktails after details of life. For example, she named the spicy margarita after my dog, "Kevyn the Kingslayer." COME ON! How amazing is that?!Speaking of cocktails... the incredible bartender, Olivia, bartended Red Witch magic with the amazing cocktails she made for everyone. She even dressed along with the theme, with her sword, serving vibes that was giving Night's Watch combined with Red Keep of the Bar. Everyone kept raving about every cocktail she made with style and care. When it comes to the food, The Bonnie always delivers, so of course my hopes were high for Charlie's. AND MY HOPES WERE MET! The ham and cheese toastie platter was delicious. The franks in a blanket were some of the best I've ever had. The beef sliders were a HUGE hit. And there were veggie options so we had the veggie quesadilla and the mac and cheese bites which were a crowd favorite.Overall, this party at Charlie's made me feel like Daenerys Targaryen on top of her Throne, like the Queen that was promised. Thank you to the Bonnie's manager Gerard for popping in to see if everything was going smoothly as well! That was so sweet. To The Bonnie/Charlie's staff - Tali, Olivia, Gerard, barbacks - Marvin & Pascual, and the talented chefs/kitchen staff, thank you so much! Your hospitality is EPIC!“
“AMAZING EXPERIENCEThe hostess and manager were kind enough to seat us despite a late arrival a few minutes after the kitchen was scheduled to close. This superior hospitality was our theme throughout the evening. The server ANFERNEE was prompt, professional, and polite while attending all of our needs. TEXAS-sized portions reminded us back home. Delicious food, tasty cocktails, and wonderful music made this a night to remember.Vegetarian options: The jerk cauliflower was spicy and delicious. The asparagus was roasted to perfection. The mashed potatoes were buttery, creamy goodness.“
“Iconic Williamsburg brunch with a divine menu. The pancakes were deliciously fluffy study syrup that didn't overpower. Sandwiches looked great too. Quality of food and unbeatable location are the highlights of this venue for me. Excellent coffee.“
“Got there at 6 on a Thursday, waited 2 hours for a table for 2. Mozzarella sticks and ribs were amazing. Wings, burger, and ice cream sundae were fine. Service was great, and I loved the atmosphere, it was loud as hell so some people may not like that but I have no issue.“
“Obsessed. Modern Love is just amazing - best vegan cheese I've ever had. The eggplant parm changed my life. I'm a native new yorker and huge foodie and Modern Love is just truly the real deal - go immediately, whether you're vegan or not!!“
“I pass the Penrose frequently, a block from the 2nd Ave Q entrance on 83rd. It is a perfect spot to meet up after work for drinks and snacks. Good music, friendly atmosphere. I tell everyone, my husband and I had brunch with our wedding party there. Great place. Recently my dad passed, and when trying to decide where to celebrate his life with extended family and friends my sister and I decided on The Penrose and emailed the events manager Chaya. She helped with everything, never got tired or short with her answers. We would think of all our questions after we signed off. Chaya made recommendations, helped our ideas come to life, and made a difficult moment easy. Day of memorial: Chaya and her team created the perfect atmosphere. Our server Emma and bartender Audrey were exceptional. The guests kept telling us what great service, atmosphere and food, but repeated to us how great the servers were. We had 30 people, in the back area with tables and bar seating. Chaya helped us choose the right amount of food, and beverages. Emma kept the area clean with out being intrussive, Audrey kept us “hydrated”. We had a buffet food area - food was great! They put to go boxes out for guest to take treats home. Thanks to Chaya we were able to truly celebrate dad, she had his play list, which we provided pumped in and a slide show with his great life moments on the screen over the bar. He served in WWII, a decorated war hero, with great taste in music. They also insured the Honor Guard ceremony, presenting flag and playing of taps went off seamlessly. As I said in my first paragraph The Penrose is a great place, but on this day it was exceptional. Chaya, Emma, and Audrey turned my dads celebration of life into a warm family moment that we will remember fondly and proudly. Thank you Chaya, Emma, and Audrey! If missed names for behind the scenes peeps sorry.“
“Sylvia's was amazing. We were there to celebrate a great friend and his milestone birthday ? . The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, so flavorful. Highly recommend 100%Parking: Parking garage 2 blocks down and on street parking - some metered & some not might need to drive around a bit if you're holding out for tge street parking“
“The only good bar in the entire neighborhood, and great overall. It's the oldest bar in NYC (aside from one in Wall St.) - You might recognize it from GoodFellas.Worth going out of your way for the history, and worth coming to just because. They play the sports games with the volume on. Have to love it.“
“I've been loving La Sandwicherie since their original food cart operation by McCarren Park. So glad they opened an official shop! The menu is well curated, all ingredients are quality, sandwiches are made to order and everything I’ve ever had here tastes fresh and delicious.“
“Lady provided great service? Food, drinks were all delicious. Had fries and fried shrimp to start. Salmon and fried rice both infused. Fried rice wasn’t as flavorful as I wanted but salmon was cooked perfectly with great taste. The lemonade and strawberry cheesecake were both sweet and yummy. I will definitely return next “
“Early March my and wife and I held a baby shower there. They were extremely accommodating with us and our guest. They also were very friendly and it worked out very well. We had families and most of the ladies at the tables and we had filled the bar with our drinkers and younger crowd.Music was good/ food was good / service was great! Anne was such a great manager worked hand in hand with our coordinator to make that day such a great experience.Overall 10/10 would highly recommend your next event there.“
“Ten out of ten would recommend !! I went with four friends & we all enjoyed ourselves. It wasn't busy at all on a Tuesday night. This place is still fairly new, opened less than a year ago. The vibes, the decore, the service were all A+ ! I know a few of the reviews mentioned the choice in music but we didn't mind it at all. It was a mix of soft jazz, soul music etc. The volume was perfect, table conversation not a problem. The owner was nice enough to come introduced himself, take in our feedback in offering vegan dishes on the menu. I wasn't able to eat anything other than the vegan appetizer they offered but my friends enjoyed the dishes they ordered. I wouldn't mind coming back here again at all as it's a SEXY chill spot with great vibes & drinks. Nice addition to the neighborhood! P.S Bring your wallets, this place isn't cheap =) Enjoy !!“
“This place is such a great addition to the neighborhood. Great music with tons of music memorabilia to look at. Excellent food and drink but the real draw is the atmosphere. The owners are awesome too - they just want everyone to have a good time.“
“This place is going to be a favorite of mine in 2024. I recently celebrated my birthday at Harrison during brunch. The service was exceptionally attentive and personal. The food was fantastic with ample portions with left-overs tasing just as good as when dined. The music was classic rock with a lot of great classic americana portraits and photos of nostalgia. The staff was particularly attentive to our needs and we never had to wait. I can't reiterate how impressed I was with this restaurant. I must also add that the prices are very reasonable for what you get. The Harrison is five stars.“
“I have been going to G's for over 20 years. The food is excellent. I love the breakfast burrito with chorizo, and their tortas, and their flautas. Everything thing is outstanding. They make great coffee The service is awesome. Very nice.“
“This place has great food. The service was awesome, too. Parking can be difficult to find, however. What makes this place stand out is the waterfront views you get. The food items we ordered to try here were the spinach and artichoke dip, fried chicken sandwich, and a grilled chicken wrap. Everything was excellent. The dip had great flavor. My favorite of these 3 items was the fried chicken sandwich. Loved how it was prepared. But everything we tasted we would recommend. We had a fun time hanging out here.“
“Definitely lived up to the social media hype and no doubt best tavern burger in Queens. One can choose any burger on their extensive burger menu with a side of fries or onion rings for less than 20 bucks, it’s a deal I’m willing to sign up for every day.We went on a Thursday late afternoon and place was energetic and lively, just what you expect from a well-known busy tavern. I can only imagine what it’s like on weekends when they have live band.Donovan’s is the real deal.“
“Fabulous! You could spend so much money in here and never feel unhappy about it. Totally vegan it's actually quite large with lots of places to sit and just plants everywhere. if I had more money, I would buy myself every single plant and item they have here. lovely food, lovely staff, highly recommend! please support your neighborhood, vegan place.“
“Mother and Son Brunch … just because? at this quaint, tucked away secret gem in Queens. Truly the first place that I,ve found in Queens that does BOTH vegan and carnivore options WELL! If you’re like me where your household has a little bit of everything going on, this is your spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch! They are a vegetarian diner with an extensive menu so lots of good eats to choose from that are not salty or oily and well seasoned ?We had fresh carrot juice made to order, the pancake special with plant based bacon, eggs, home fries, sour dough toast, fresh fruit and avocado. Magnificent! They also have vegan desserts like apple crumb pie, frosted cookie crunch and so much more. The service was wonderful and we felt right at home. There is also a lovely gift shop right next door that has some unique knick knacks. Tell ‘em Avery sent you?Downside is parking is sparse so Uber or subway if you can. Note their hours are 8am - 3pm, closed on Tuesdays and are open on Sundays. Bon Apetit ?Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options. You will not be disappointed.Dietary restrictions: Perfect Vegan spot with lots of optionsParking: You might have to circle a couple times to find parking as this location is in a residential neighborhood.“
“I have been dining at La Flor since they first opened a while ago. Chef Viko is very creative and does a regular menu plus seasonal specials. He uses farmer’s market ingredients and is very generous with the portions. Expect to see very colorful and tasty combinations. The core of the menu here is Mexican food with French and Italian notes. The home made pastries and desserts are a solid plus to the dining experience. The wine list has Ben carefully selected and the moderate prices don’t sacrifice the quality. In all, La Flor is one of my favorites in New York City.Vegetarian options: Salads, seasonal veggies.Dietary restrictions: The chef is very knowledgeable and kind and is willing to accommodate special requests.Kid-friendliness: Family place and everyone is welcome.“
“Have you ever found a gem and never wanted to share it? Lol, that's how I feel about Clay. Talk about perfect setting, food, and service. Absolutely stunning place in the heart of Harlem. Cool neighborhood, too. Highly recommend. Plan ahead because there could be a wait to get a reservation. Love this place.“
“The Margherita pizza is made with whole diced tomatoes, it's very refreshing and not greasy at all. The pepperoni is generously portioned, and as an end to the day, I feel very satisfied. I'm glad to have such a great pizza place in Astoria.“
“Food is actually amazing. I feel like half of these places they aren’t real authentic burgers it’s always with some extra seasonings or something. I go to the Middle East every year and I always talk about how I miss there burgers, now I don’t have to say that cause I found this place!“
“What a charming, lovely (and delicious!) spot with good vibes and excellent service. We enjoyed ALL of our food. We were scraping the bowl on the guacamole.Such a delightful surprise and highly recommend for families, friends, and couples. Great vibes all around.Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu with something for all palates and fun "cubes" for the kids water.“
“I’ve been here… what? 15 times? 20 times? The number doesn’t matter cuz I’ll keep coming back, baby!! The lavender latte plus sausage breakfast sandwich 2-hit combo will always call my name. And everyone here is so nice and beautiful and wonderful! I love you Julia’s!!“
“Love spicy fried chicken? Then Peaches Hot House in Bed-Stuy is a must-try! Their Nashville-style hot chicken is legendary, offering customizable spice levels to suit your heat tolerance. But beware, even their "mild" packs a punch! Don't miss their creamy mac and cheese, the perfect side for cooling down your taste buds in between bites. And for a true taste of the South, they even offer vinho verde, a refreshing Portuguese wine. Peaches Hot House is a casual spot perfect for a delicious and satisfying meal.“
“Had a great time enjoying dinner at Lohi Rooftop. Came to enjoy a late rooftop view as summer was dying down. The menu is limited but has tasty options. We ordered the double smash burger, the salad, and the chimichurri steak. The smash burger was the highlight for me. Lohi also doubles as an event space as well. Have been to a couple of parties here during the summer which were always a good time. Make sure to tip the Bartenders“
“BC Bistro is a very nice restaurant that serves brunch and dinner. Both times I've been here I've done brunch and both times were very good. They have a really nice brunch menu, including the awesome breakfast pizza, breakfast Risotto, and a lot of different items to choose from. It's gets pretty busy during brunch, with live music, so book s reservation!“
“I remember from years ago that the soft shell crab was good, I don't remember what else made me bookmark this place to return. My partner loves his branzino fish. I had the skirt steak, it was tender, flavor was decent. The service was top notch. I will be back.“
“They have one of the best roast beef sandwiches in Brooklyn they've been there 86 YEARS!!! WOW!!!If you get the knife and fork roast beef sandwich you MUST eat it right away if you wait too long the juice will make the bread soggy..thier roast beef is excellent I recommend either the knife and fork where they dip the whole sandwich in the greasy oily yummy gravy..omfg deeelicious!!!! Or you can have one half of the bun dipped in the gravy or have it dry just the roast beef in the gravy..I've been there twice and it's ALWAYS the same DEEELICIOUS 5 stars all around once you go once you WILL go back.i hope they're around 86 more years..an old fashioned restaurant SINCE 1938!“
“dang!!!!! i’m not the one to crave a burger or even american food in general but nowon just hits different. kimchi lovers PULL UP!!not pictured, but i love the chop cheese tteokbokki. get that too.atmosphere is fun and hip. the bushwick location is much better for dinner with multiple people. the menu pricing is up there, so bring friends to share apps with & be prepared for a pricy burger. it’s worth it though“
“I love this place. The chipotle chicken sandwich is amazing. The service is excellent. Humble interior, delicious food (try the wake and bake burger that has an egg and a hash brown) and reasonably priced. The servers have a great energy and are quick. As a local, I’d recommend this place to anyone around the area.“
“I was meeting a friend for dinner and it was pouring out. Being wet and cold instantly disappeared once I walked into this magical restaurant! The place is cozy, tables well spaced, clean and comfortable. The wait staff was super friendly, made good suggestions and brought the food out timely. We had the crispy chickpeas with rosemary and black salt. This is listed under snacks. I suggest you order these as soon as you sit down to snack on while deciding what to order. The chickpeas were deep fried with wonderful seasoning and had a delightful crispy taste. They have a wonderful wine list. We had the Chateau De Chantegrive Graves 2012. It is a Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon, France. It tasted like a mixture of a Sauvignon Blanc and a Chardonnay and was not too sweet. It also is a great value at $11 a glass. We started with the Steak Tartare appetizer with fresh Chile and ponzu sauce. The chef at this place is a master at spicing, the true art of cooking. Fresh Chile and ponzu are two very flavorful ingredients where each can dominate. Just the right amount of each was added and the flavors blended perfectly with the tartare. We then had the Wild Dover Sole with salsa Verde and the Salmon Rice Bowl with coconut rice, seared salmon, avocado, seaweed, sesame seeds and ponzu sauce. I had never had wild dover soles and wanted to try them. The dover soles were incredibly light and almost melted in our mouths. The Salmon Rice bowl was extraordinary with oodles of flavor. The coconut rice was cooked to perfection. We finished with a cappuccino and latte and the coffee flan. I love flan and coffee so it was heavenly for me. The flan had a strong coffee taste and was not overly sweet as some flans are. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.Even though I do not live in the neighborhood it is worth the trip!“
“We held a rehearsal dinner for my son and daughter in law at the Silverlight Tavern and everything was absolutely 10 Star Perfect!! The food, the party room, the bartender and the management were all so wonderful and made our event the perfect opening for a fantastic wedding weekend! I can’t thank you enough!!!“
“Great local diner. Good service and good food. They made sure to accommodate our requests for no pork items( got turkey bacon and chicken sausage). Good coffee as well. Close to a little strip mall and other shops and on the way to JFK. Come here for breakfast often. Only complaint is that the parking lot gets packed sometimes as place is often busy and it’s kind of difficult at times to pull out of the place as it’s small.“
“Literally one of the best kept secrets in all of New York. Food, drinks, staff, music, and the horror decorations are all on point. This is legit one of the best goth bars I’ve ever been to in the world. I can’t recommend this place enough. Once you come here, you’ll keep coming back!“
“Sitting in Terravita completely removes you from the heights. Not in a bad way, but in an outta this world kind of way. Born and raised in the heights but this was the first time having dinner here. I must say the food was on point from appetizers to entree to dessert. Waiters are kind. Music gave us rave vibes. Drinks were delicious too! Super impressed with this restaurant.“
“Full marks across the board, everything on the extensive menu is great with the Irish mixed grill and the salmon being my favorites. The portions are huge the servers are all terrific and in the evenings and weekends there is always a lively atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to all food lovers and double recommend it to those on a budget“
“Beautiful, small, cozy wine bar located on Queens Blvd. The bartender/ server was friendly and made some good recommendations. The Chicken Tagine was so tender and flavorful, the pasta with meatballs was just spot on to perfection. Everything about this place is amazing.. Would definitely return here.“
“Although I must say the food was good, I think it is a tad overpriced for the amount of food one gets. I did take out (Easter Sunday) and had an additional side of candied yams (sweet potatoes with only 4 thin slices and was charged $7 for this side...WHAT??!! The (whiting) fish dinner (3 SLICES FISH, MAC N' CHEESE AND COLLARDS) totaled $32( incl. the sweet potato side.) Good dinner BUT OVERPRICED.Parking: Parking not great.“
“Stumbled upon this place when me and the wife cancelled a dinner and show downtown and decided to stay local. It was one of the best dinners experiences we have had in a while. Drinks where great and innovative. Our bartender was amazing and super friendly. They had a 3 course prefix for $35 which was not only a great deal, but every dish was amazing, I had the duck and my wife had the curry. bartender was kind enough to introduce us to the owner/chef and we chatted about their how a Puertorrican/Peruvian and Bengali couple decided to follow their dream and open up a place in homage to their astrological signs.Let me tell you, it worked out amazing. Have been back several times since that first experience and it just keeps getting better.“
“So much better than the ones in the other Boroughs! They play music, but it's not so loud you can't hold a conversation. My servers were great and seemed to be happy to be there. There is a guy who walks around taking pictures, and eventually, the goal is to sell them to you! $20, which includes a nice glass frame or $15 each if you want to purchase all 5 or 6 poses. My son picked the photo he liked, and they threw in a free postcard with a different pose. No complaints about the food or drinks everything was wonderful. It's definitely worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood, lol.“
