“I’m not vegan BUT this place is! And it was delicious! The atmosphere is bright, clean and roomy with a kind of cool vibe. They have outside seating too. The server was warm and took time to explain things to me. The loaded fries were very good (lots of toppings and the fries were done perfectly). My Mac and cheese with chicken nuggets was excellent. I’m all ready plotting my next trip to have it again. I want to tell you….this is great food that happens to be vegan“
“One of my favorite coffee shops I’ve been to. The staff is incredibly kind and very efficient. I’ve tried a lot of the menu here and everything I’ve had I have absolutely loved. My go-to has to be the hot lavender matcha latte with oat milk…it just steals the show. There is a ton of sitting room perfect for meeting up with friends or just relaxing before or after a long day. And the best part, after a certain time in the evening they sell delicious cocktails. I always love coming to Syracuse simply because of Salt City Coffee.“
“I give all my buyer clients gift baskets when they close on a new home. In every basket I include the three items that are a part of an old traditional house blessing: “Bread—that this house may never know hunger, Salt—that life may always have flavor, and Wine—that joy and prosperity may reign forever” I always use small, local businesses for the products to make and fill my basket. Especially the bread! I want it to be same-day fresh, and from a bakery as close to the client’s new home as possible. Well, yesterday I had a final walkthrough with a client in the Scottholm neighborhood, and Tous Les Jours was the closest option. Boy was I blown away by every detail of this shop!! It was pristine, every item and every surface sparkled and gleamed, there were so many delicious looking pastries and so many I had never seen before! The chefs were dressed in beautiful gingham uniforms and chatted with us as easily as if they had known us for years. I will definitely be going back many times. And my clients very much appreciated the delicious, authentic French Baguette!“
“One of my favorite places for drinks and dessert! The halo halo is amazing, but the Vietnamese coffee with boba is probably what I get the most from here. I keep wanting to try their other stuff but it's so hard to stray from what I know is so delicious!!!“
“Hooray! I finally found my coffee spot in Syracuse. I just moved here from coffee-loving San Francisco. Salt CIty Coffee makes the best espresso I've had in town. I have yet to spend time in the cafe itself, but I love the vibe. I feels like a comfy living room full of interesting people I've not yet met.“
“The strawberry and cream croissant is my favorite sweet treat ever! I have gotten many of my family members to also fall in love with the croissant! Everything I've tried here, including fruit teas, lemonades and macaroons are very yummy! I live over an hour away and the drive just to go here is always worth it!“
“This is one of the best coffee shops in town. The owners and folks who work there are genuinely some of the kindest people I have met and it is clear they are committed to their customers! Aside from their drinks, their food menu is hard to top, with solid breakfast and lunch options. It is absolutely worth a visit and/or to make this a routine stop during your week.“
“This is a phenomenal venue for a bridal shower. My bridal shower was held there in April 2023. The staff was exceptional, making sure all of our guests had drinks, waters, coffee or anything they may need. Asking for my opinions on timing of cake, food, etc. The food was perfect particularly the lemon chicken, even gave us to go boxes at the end. They were flexible with accommodating some changes to their lunch menu as well that we requested. The rooms are well decorated, beautiful mirrors, greenery and exposed brick. Leaving for very little additional decor needing to be brought. We focused on centerpieces and some signage. We were not rushed out at the end while they were cleaning up. They welcomed my fiancé by his first name when he arrived showing that they pay attention to every detail. Even found a surprise gift from them amongst my gifts at the end! If you are looking for a venue for bridal shower I would highly recommend! Thanks for making my day perfect!“
“Luna Cafe is such an amazing place… all that cats are so cute and the workers and volunteers are incredible! All their cats come from the cat coalition and are for adoption, even if you’re not able to adopt you can still go in and spend time and play with the kitties! They also have great drinks and food! 1,000/10 recommend!!“
“In my opinion, Peaks is the best coffee shop Syracuse has to offer! From the friendly staff, to the chill ambiance, you can't go wrong. Some benefits to choosing Peaks: Their coffee (drip, cold brew, espresso) is always smooth and fresh they have unique specials and syrups that are made in house. Even popular ones such as "caramel" are a special experience due to the quality of the product. The owner and staff are all such wonderful people and when you walk in you can see they are passionate about what they do! The regulars are so chill, you don't have to worry about interacting with mean customers The food is INCREDIBLE! I'm probably missing some stuff, but that means you'll have to fill in the rest once you visit!“
“This has been my go-to lunch spot forever. The Cobb salad is my usual but mixing it up with a panini is a nice option. The staff take the time to know your name and are very friendly. The food is fresh and has that clean taste to energize you through the day. But if you just need something sweet and chocolatey, the cookies are seriously the best around. I have never had a bad item here.“
“My husband and I were out shopping and needed something tasty yet healthy so we decided to try Bowl Boss. The staff was really helpful with our questions and let us taste test items. We were very happy with our decision to check them out. Our first time there we endulged in the Gold Coast, our 2nd visit we both chose something different, I chose the Beach Bum while he decided on Coco Cabana. We agreed that it's become our treat when we're in Camillus for our monthly grocery shopping. All 3 were terrific and totally satisfying. ? ? ?“
“I had the privilege of eating here for dinner this evening and it was delicious!! The service was phenomenal our waitress was so kind and attentive (I can't remember her name but thank you for great service!). The sandwich I had so much flavor you could taste the Swiss cheese and it was overpowering! That cake I had for dessert was so good I forgot to take a picture before I devoured it!! The best chocolate cake I have had in a long time!! Thank you cafe 119 for the delicious food and wonderful service the cafe is small but it has so much character. I loved the ambiance, it was very relaxing and I didn't feel rushed with my meal.“
“Absolutely adorable Cafe just sitting on the edge of town. Super friendly staff/atmosphere. Went 30 minutes before closing, walked in and was immediately greeted. They were out of alot of stuff (like avocados) but tried to find things to substitute for missing ingredients. Plus, they took money off my sandwich for the lost avocados! Highly recommended this lil' Cafe. 100/10“
“Cozy little cafe. I got a latte and my girlfriend got a cafe au lait with their light roast of the day. Both were delicious, pleasant is probably the best word I can think of to describe the coffees. The roasts they have all sounded very good and their website says they're ethically sourced. Every baked good in their case was vegan, we didn't get any but they looked great.“
“Salt City coffee was recommended to me as “the best in town” for my visit. Great coffee, lots of pastry options (including a tasty chocolate vegan muffin) and some fruits and other food to snack on. Lots of outlets and seating. A perfect place for me to get some work done while I’m in town!“
“I'm glad we found this place! The smell of brewing coffee and the first sip feeling is something I can't describe. It is such a cool experience at Kubal. The chicken salad wrap was so good we came back just for that. Coffee was excellent!Cafe Kubal is with the stop in if you're near!“
“I have driven by this place so many times but just so happened had an appt nearby and actually walked by it and decided to stop in. So glad I did, what a gem! I had the pecan pie latte which was one the best lattes I’ve ever had. I also got the meatball panini and hash browns and everything was delicious. I’ll definitely be back. ✨“
“I have been looking for a bialy for some time and while there are plenty of places that make bagels, so few have bialy on their menu. I found the bialy here to have very good texture and flavor, but wish there was more onion and poppy seed, which is very traditional on a bialy.“
“Syracuse, known for its vibrant community and bustling university life, also boasts a delightful coffee culture that locals and visitors alike cherish. Among the many cafes that dot the city, there's a particular spot that has garnered attention for its exceptional blend of quality food, impeccable service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. This cafe, a hidden gem in the heart of Syracuse, has become a haven for coffee aficionados searching for that perfect cup. The coffee served here is not just a beverage; it's a craft, a ritual, and a passion that is evident in every sip. The baristas, with their friendly smiles and expert hands, ensure that each customer's experience is personalized and memorable. The cafe's ambiance strikes a delicate balance between modern chic and cozy comfort, making it an ideal setting for various social encounters, from a casual coffee date to an intimate catch-up session with old friends. The menu offers a diverse range of options, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences, ensuring that every patron leaves satisfied. The pastries are fresh, the sandwiches are hearty, and the salads are crisp, but it's the coffee that truly stands out. Sourced from the finest beans, each batch is roasted to perfection, unlocking the deep, complex flavors that define the cafe's signature brews. Regulars often praise the cafe's consistency in quality and service, which is a testament to the staff's dedication and the management's commitment to excellence. Whether it's the first light of dawn or the mellow hours of the afternoon, the cafe is a sanctuary for those seeking refuge in a cup of coffee that promises both comfort and a jolt of inspiration. It's no wonder that many regard it as the best coffee in Syracuse, a title that the cafe upholds with pride and honor. In a world that moves at a breakneck pace, this cafe is a reminder of the simple pleasures that life offers - a good meal, a great cup of coffee, and the company of friends.“
“One of the best hot chocolates I've had in a while. When we were there they were extremely busy (no surprise, since most of the coffee places seemed to be closed), but everyone was very friendly and they worked to get everyone taken care of.Dietary restrictions: They were very good with dietary restrictions.“
“I used the dunkin app to order before i went inside. Coffee was done quickly and to order. The only slightly strange thing was the person placing the drink in the pickup area did not call out the names on the order. So if you were waiting for an order you had to check when a new cup was placed in the pickup area. Not a big deal but slightly annoying.“
“We ordered a cake from Mrs Kelder’s cake for our gender reveal, and it was perfect! Mrs Kelder was so kind and accommodating, and very responsive with all of our questions. She even let us come in an hour before the bakery opened on Saturday to pick up the cake. I told her that she could put whatever decorations she wanted on the cake, and while I was expecting something simple, she gave us an absolutely stunning, adorable and perfect cake. She put so much detail and creativity into the design. It was so delicious too! I will definitely be ordering from here again!“
“I had never been to a yoga class before-and i decided to try one. I went with my sister and mom and let’s just say we had the BEST time. The teacher was incredibly kind and worked through the movements with us. It was relaxing, fun and we had a good laugh too. You will definitely see me again! Highly recommend!“
“Recess Coffee is a must stop on any trip to Syracuse for me. I love their peanut butter mocha (pb + chocolate + espresso = a heavenly combination), their bites are great, and the service is always lovely. And, this location of Recess Coffee is no exception. The seating area is comfortable, offering options for those wanting to get some work done as well as those on coffee dates or meeting friends. For warmer months, they also have some outdoor seating options. The set up is order at the counter and pick up at an adjacent counter. I stopped by most recently on my way to the airport and was able to dart in, grab a bite and a cuppa, and be on my way in no time. Get to it!“
“I wanted an iced Chai, but I did forget to say iced. I got a warm chai. I tasted it and I loved it. My two buddies got their stuff and we were chilling and enjoying our purchases. The batista stops by our table and I told him I forgot to say "iced" and he was willing to get me an iced chai. That is my go to place from now on. I kept the one he gave me and told him I really liked the extra chaieeness of the chai. Been to other places and they seem to be watered down some. This was more chaiee...“
“We ate there a second time before the theater. Great staff, cool drink, good food. I wouldn’t mind if some of the seafood were not breaded but they breaded my shrimp there. The chocolate cookie dessert is to die for snd this is a rare restaurant that can make good cheesecake.“
“It's definitely a nice space overall! They have lots of seating, and the staff are always friendly. Just a few items of minor feedback: the space in winter isn't quite adequately heated, to the point where you'll feel the cold in your feet and legs if you plan to sit down there for even a little. Also, the fridge they have positioned by the register is distractingly loud. (I don't know a better solution besides turning it off, so, *shrug*). Also, the floors and bathroom definitely needed cleaning. But it's still a nice space!“
“Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is a little congestive on the side closest to the street across from the DGX. Seems to be most used entrance. The way the store is designed maybe easier to use the exit closest to the pick up for the food and drinks service area“
“Pretty solid place for some variety of food. They do everything from pizza to burgers and breakfast with egg sandwiches and such in the morning. It's very reasonably priced. It's not fine dining but it is definitely probably a good little college hotspot.“
“We were walking in to get ice cream yesterday and witnessed a child wipe out on a scooter near the store. The woman working all alone behind the counter was quick to respond to my request for water and napkins and provided a cold bottle of water for the boy as we made him a makeshift compress before he had to go to the hospital. So glad your employees feel empowered to help! of course, we enjoyed all the delicious vegan options as well.“
“Best cup in town and at times best I’ve ever had.Doug is the best. Been coming here basically since the beginning. If you wanna learn something he’s usually down to share some awesome coffee info.Good energy and the freshest and strongest coffee you can get around here for sure.“
“Ever since we got Tim Hortons in the Syracuse area, I've considered it superior to the (too) many Dunkin locations that blanket this area. It was a huge, shameful disappointment when most Timmy's locations suddenly closed a few years ago. Now the only 2 left are this one and another (limited) one in North Syracuse, both inside Delta Sonic locations, neither of which are near me or my usual commute to/from the eastern suburbs of Syracuse. But if I have a need to go somewhere near either of these Tim's locations I try to grab a coffee and donut. So much more fresher than the stale and mediocre product at Dunkin. Would upgrade from 4 to 5 stars if Tim Hortons would bring more locations back to the area... The Delta Sonic in DeWitt's lack of. Tim Hortons has beem very noticeable. Adding one there would be perfect. Nearby recent openings of busy DD and Starbucks seem to demonstrate there is demand on that part of Erie Blvd.“
“This is the place to get coffee on campus: it's student run, and not for-profit! The staff always brings a smile to my mornings. And you can't argue with the discounted baked goods from the "day-old" pile, and big discount if you bring your own mug!“
“I will be leaving this review at a couple locations where the staff, management, and location is exceptional. They are accessible for Wheelchair ♿️ and walkers on the floor. The staff is so kind and understanding with Special Needs, verbal difficulties, and being patient with us as getting a wallet out and counting currency is extremely difficult for many. But doing it in real life is such an experience for some.I routinely bring my special needs adults to a multitude of Starbucks locations, and they often require a very specific accommodations for a drink. By this I mean absolutely no ice (no solid food) or modifications to a drink to accommodate a Type 1 diabetic. Thus also can be asking for extra cups, lids, straws, whip cream etc. I always offer upfront to pay for these items but are never charged beyond a basic standard upcharge in a beverage.Sometimes, grabbing a Starbucks is a routine thing. But for others, this is such a treat, and the only outing they get to have all week. (If I am off or take a personal day, they suffer ?)If you ever run into a person like me, who is with someone who struggles to get out a wallet, or it takes me extra time to order a drink or ask for this or that, please do not get frustrated at these incredible Baristas.Dietary restrictions: As stated.Wheelchair accessibility: Very Accommodating“
“Excellent customer service, the whole staff team are very helpful & courteous! Affordable grocery shopping at your one stop local DGX! Great quality produce, food, & everything else for your everyday household needs! Stop in & start saving right away. You will not be disappointed! I love shopping at my local Dollar General (DGX) & so will you & your Family!“
“Even though I don't shop Price Chopper often, I now make sure to always stop at Starbucks after I check out, to treat myself after a stressful shopping trip to feed 3 teenagers! The baristas are awesome, cheerful, and always go the extra mile, even if it's an extra chocolate drizzle to try and cheer up your day! They went out of their way to wish my son a Happy Birthday, and congratulate me on 18 years of parenthood! The frozen drinks here are also more frozen (yay! ?) than the Starbucks up at Barnes and Nobles up on Erie Blvd East.Dietary restrictions: They offer soy, almond, oat, and other types of milk, for people like me that don't engage in interspecies breastfeeding, and are allergic to cow's milk“
“I'm sitting in my car and have to write this review. I remember coming in here a year ago and, being upset. The place was a wreck. Counter dirty. Coffee leaking and messy. I was mad. Probably rude about it and...Bonnie called me right away. The very same young man waited on me today and has since then. He knew I wasnt happy. Hes a great kid. He stuck with it. Always treated me with respect and decency ..He knows my coffee. Hes very helpful, hes grown and matured and I love to see that with the youngsters, shout out to him. Forget his first name. He has red hair. Keep going !! ?“
“I recently visited Salt City Coffee and had a fantastic experience. The two young ladies behind the counter provided amazing customer service. They were friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome. The coffee muffin I ordered was incredible in both taste and texture. It was moist and flavorful, a perfect complement to my coffee. Speaking of which, the coffee they recommended turned out to be amazing. It was strong, just as I had requested, which was much needed after long hours of video editing on only four hours of sleep. I highly recommend Salt City Coffee for their excellent customer service and delicious offerings!! ?“
“one of the few dunkins without a drive through. which is why i considered working therefunny story about that actually. so i applied online and then i was contacted for an interview and when i came in they said that i was hired and they gave me the uniform and name tag and all that. i came in for my shift two weeks later and basically (it's too complicated to fully explain) they forgot to finish hiring me.i was told the process was being completed and that i'd be paid for the one day i was working (i wasn't) and to finish the shift and whatnot. so i finished the shift, wasn't contacted again, and still have the uniform.i'm not mad at the employees or dunkin. i'm mad that corporations can get so large that employees are like ants and even where it should be easier (no drive through), employees are still being overworked and dehumanized“
“I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars, unless I am really blown away.I was passing through Tully and saw a sign for coffee. I turned around and went down the street and found this little shop. Just before I went in this little shop, I smelled a wonderful smell. It smelled like ribs on a smoker. I turned and saw a large smoker on the back of a truck and a gentleman next to the truck happen to be the owner of the shop. Big Mike was his name. I asked about the smoker. He said he and his do some catering as well. Mike invited me into the shop. Got me a cup of coffee and chatted with me for a little bit of time. The coffee was awesome. They had breakfast sandwiches other things there as well but I had already eaten. I will be stopping back to try a snack, and especially to get more coffee. Big Mike was awesome. I took his card so that I could possibly ask him to do some catering at some point. This place is worth your stop whether it be baked treats, coffee, or ice cream. As the menu look great. I will follow up after I eat some snacks.“
“As an Asian American who's lived in Syracuse for almost a decade, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Gong Cha had opened up shop here. It's a well-known international bubble tea chain, and having it right in Armory Square is a real treat. The location is ideal, right in the heart of downtown, making it a convenient spot to grab a drink while out and about. It's a nice addition to the area. The bubble tea here is pretty solid. They offer a variety of flavors, and you have the option to customize your drink, which is always a plus. The quality is consistent, and the tapioca pearls have just the right chewiness. It's nice to have a taste of something familiar, especially for those of us who grew up with these flavors. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially if you're not sure what to order. They're quick to offer suggestions without being pushy, which makes for a comfortable experience.Overall, Gong Cha is a nice spot to check out if you're in the mood for bubble tea. It's not over-the-top, just a good place to enjoy a drink in the city. Definitely worth a visit if you're around Armory Square. ??“
“I love a good Dunkin' cup of coffee when I run out of my own coffee ingredients at home. But can we please have a drive thru option here? There are many times where I will skip this location entirely as I have a toddler in the car and sometimes it's just not worth the hassle of bringing her inside to grab a cup of coffee.. even if I promise her a donut. It's 2023, you can literally order groceries curbside. This is my petition for a drive thru addition :)“
“Long ride home on fishing trips. Love Mickey D'sJava. Have stopped at this Lafayette Mcds last 3 trips. Easy off, easy on rt 81. All 3 times, the lady has taken my order, prepped it to my taste and sends me southbound in minutes.( LOL, maybe I smell fishy) Excellent McD! Clean, fast, friendly. Easy 5 stars“
