“Last night, visited Lisa G's in Lake Placid for the first time. Decided to try the Heirloom Bucatini. One of the best meals I've ever had! It was truly amazing and such a treat!! We'll be back next time we are in town!!”

“I was traveling for business in the area. My Brisket Sandwich was wonderful. Staff and owner were great. Place was clean. One suggestion season the Mac and Cheese, it just a little bland. I did not ask for extra sauce to season anything. But great place. Very tasty food and your outdoor smoking area is one of the best. Hope this place stays open and I will be back again.”

“We went here for Christmas dinner! And boy! It was the best Christmas dinner we’ve ever had! The ambience was cozy and rustic and the food arrived quickly. The sauce of the Thai Chilli Shrimp was delicious and the prawns were fresh. They were kind enough to accommodate my customisations into the Salmon dish. I replaced the salmon with sea bass and it was absolutely amazing! To end it, we had Tiramisu and it was maybe one of the best Tiramisu’s we’ve ever had! We left extremely happy from here. Highly recommend!!”

“Capisce is our new favorite coffee place in Lake Placid. Check this place out. It has our favorite espresso coffee drinks: breves, lattes. The coffee is bold and smooth and the subtle notes of the beans are exactly what I love. The food is very good. And they have good sized seating areas both inside and especially nice one outside that has servers delivering your order to your table. The staff is friendly, helpful and informative. 2 things to note: First, it is a little bit out of downtown but well worth the trip since it is quiet and more spacious. Second: It can be very busy at certain times but that is the case with most of the good coffee bars in Lake Placid.”

“We have been coming to lake placid every year for as long as we can remember and we’ve never tried this bakery before surprisingly. We got coffee and some pastries. The latte we got was pretty good! Nothing special but good. The coffee was a little bit bitter for our liking. They also had a very wide selection of pastries. All the pastries we got were very good. Our favorite out of all of the ones that we got was the blueberry crumb bar. We also got the apple cinnamon roll and the chocolate and almond roll. Both were very good. When we got there the line was out the door (mostly because the shop is very small) but it moved quickly. The service was good. Overall a very cute place to get some coffee and pastries. It’s also right across from mirror lake so you are able to eat the delicious coffee and pastries there with an incredible view.”

“my dauther and I sometimes visit this bagel shop and еvery time we are really impressed! The bagels always fresh, perfectly chewy, and came in a great variety of flavors. I tried the everything - absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is cozy. perfect for breakfast. the place is clean. Prices were reasonable too. And chai tea latte - It home made warm, spicy, and comforting - my favorite😋Highly recommend if you're hungry, sad, happy, bored, or just breathing🙂”

“Placed a large delivery order recently with Main Street Pizza and it did not disappoint! We got 7 pies (plain, buffalo, pepperoni, white) and they were all enjoyed by our large group! We also got a tray of Caesar salad and 2 orders of garlic knots (so good!). 10/10 recommend Main Street Pizza to anyone visiting Lake Placid!”

“Heated walkways are non existent now. Only 1 outdoor ( adult only ) hot tub working and wasn’t filled with enough water so jets were annoying when on, spewing water in faces. The pool was absolutely NOT warm enough to swim in and nobody was in it, not even kids so you know it was cold. If you can’t keep the amenities up stop promoting them and charging for them. The area underneath to walk through from pool to movie theater the carpeting was soaking wet and sloshy, no signs up just you step in it and gross. Staff is nice.”

“We have been to Generations many times, consider ourselves locals! We live in Queensbury, NY, so we're able to get there 2 to 3 times a year! Our most recent visit was on May 22, our 54th Anniversary. Generations is our go-to place to eat...breakfast, lunch, dinner or happy hour! The food is so fresh and made to order. The wait staff is superb, especially Desiree, who we had this time...and Megan, who we've had in the past! Great job ladies, keep up the great work! 🩷 We also love staying at the Golden Arrow!”

“Jimmy's 21 has become our traditional first-dinner-in-Lake-Placid preferred location. This time, we came with our four-year-old, and it was just as enjoyable as when we've come as a couple or with a group of 8+. The top-notch service, high quality food, and relaxed but romantic atmosphere are always consistent, and very much anticipated. The views of Whiteface and Mirror Lake are so exquisite. We love it here, and it remains one of our all-time favorites!”

“Stopped in for a beverage while touring Lake Placid. Located right down the street from the rink where the 1980 miracle on ice occurred. Service was amazing and quick. Bartenders were very accommodating. Would have spent more time to have food but, we had to continue on our roadtrip.”

“Cute dinner with unique. Food is average dinner fare and prices are a bit high for the food. Was disappointed this trip as it wasn't as great of an experience as my first time. Eggs are now the fake bag mixes that have stuff I'm allergic to. Coffee was weak and tasted like they used the grounds a second time and looked like a light tea blend.”

“Location is prime…decor is cosy and clean. Food is delicious…we eat steaks, pastas, seafood, appetizer’s, desserts, we had drinks, all the food and drinks were delicious. We were e party of seven and unanimously agreed, food and service was amazing. The staff are amazing, super polite always smiling and always right next to you if you if you need them. “Great place for Brunch. The Menu has several options but most based on eggs as the protein. There are 4 different salads where you can add a steak/chicken/shrimp or Salmon for extrat $. There were 2 options based on smoked salmon/lox but when we were there they didn’t have either for 3 days on a row. The service is good, the ambiance is great. Even considering the issues it is one of the best options in the area.”

“This past weekend we held out anniversary dinner. We chose Simply Gourmet for catering and it was amazing. They have a large selection to choose from. All guest complimented the food. We also got a cake, fruit tart and cake pops for dessert and they were all incredible. I highly recommend them for any catering needs.”

“Best run Subway Ive ever been too. In town for CanAm tournament and Subway was busy. But the staff not only kept everything organsized and moving along with precision but the place was clean as if it was dead. Even the food prep area looked like I was the only one in there. Absolutely amazing. Other locations should be trained by this one.”

“Love this place. The soft serve is really cold, creamy, and flavorful. We got twists (which were a great balance for 50/50 chocolate and vanilla) and straight vanilla. They also gave us two free pupcups for the dogs. If I do not drive past before they close for the fall/winter I will be sure to come back as soon as they open next season.”

“Today my boyfriend, son and I ate here for the first time, the food was absolutely amazing and our waitress was very pleasant. we were originally seated outside in a very cramped, end of the row seat that didn't accommodate us well with having a stroller.. as we got up and were about to leave a very friendly waiter seated us inside. very kind, we were pleased tremendously. as we were eating our food a gentleman who appeared to be the man who keeps up with their books was SCREAMING at all the waitresses and waiters in another language, VERY AGGRESSIVE and angry..slamming paperwork down extremely hard on their POS station.. it was extremely unprofessional and awkward for us to be trying to enjoy our food... our waitress apologized on his rude behavior. (not her fault, she was lovely). besides that, I absolutely recommend the Tuna. what a great dish that was. Hope someone lets that gentleman know it was absolutely noticed by customers and really unprofessional.”

The were also cold and dry no sauce at all.(except the blue cheese that came open)Called to get a refund for my $25 and the owner was extremely rude. Told me that I ordered, I got it that he doesn't give refunds. Very unprofessional ZERO 🌟 STARS”
