“I was in town from Florida visiting cousins & they heard great things about this place, so we figured we would try it out! Well, it did NOT disappoint in every way! The decor and vibe is really cool with a beach/nautical theme. The food and drinks were delicious! The roasted brussel sprouts & the Shepherd’s Pie was to die for! Our waitress, Nicole, was great and funny! The bartenders, Joe & Katie, made amazing & different cocktails and were so warm & attentive! They had a one man band singing who was really talented! We even met the owners who could not be more welcoming, friendly and attentive making sure we were having a great time and we were happy with everything! If I lived here, I would definitely come here often, and definitely will be returning on my next visit! Check this everything out for sure….and you’re welcome in advance!!?????“

“This is a lovely restaurant with 3 options for dining: indoors with air conditioning, a sunroom with air conditioning or outside with fresh air. They're right by the water, so the view is fabulous. 10/18/25, I came back with friends, today, still 5 star. I had the Chicken Panko, a breaded chicken cutlet over salad, diced tomatoes and a balsamic glaze...delicious. my friends enjoyed their food as well!“

“Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

“The food was soooo delicious. My husband I were cwlebrating our 6th Anniversary and had a WeekDay Luncheon Date. Totally Superb down to the very last drop. We ate every buttery morsel. We each had the Grilled Salmon, Lobster and Shrimp Trio with Mashed potatoes loaded with Lobster Sauce on top and a side of their broccolli which was insanely delicious!!! We will most definitly coming back. Staff was very attentive and friendly and very accomodating. Thank You for such a wonderful experience!“

“My Husband and I stumble across this place tonight and couldn’t be happier about it! From the moment we walked through the door on a busy Saturday night at 7:00pm we walk in simply based on a great name! The hostess Deanna was lovely and welcoming we were able to sit right away! The food was absolutely amazing and so were the drinks!! But the star of the show was the staff our waitress Emily was the best we have ever had! Just the right amount of attentive that we never looked for her and always felt taking care up. The busser also did an amazing job never a dirty plate on our table. We go out alot and I can’t remember the last time a restaurant covered it all flawlessly Service drinks and food. We have already texted friend excited to bring them here! Can’t wait to come back keep up the amazing work!“

“BEST TACOS ON THE NORTH SHORE. We stumbled into Ditch solely by chance and we are so happy we did. It’s a breath of fresh air for a rather stale Main Street in PJ. Very beachy vibes, feels more south shore LI than snobby north shore which is probably why I love it so much. The menu has a little bit of everything and everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. We ordered tacos, five different tacos so we could try a bit of everything. From the perfect corn tortilla to the pineapple toppings, everything was fresh and delicious. The owner Tracy came over to welcome us to his new spot and express his gratitude for giving the new spot a chance. Our server Brennan was working a busy lunch shift mostly solo and he still delivered a top notch experience. Very happy with our new discovery and we can’t wait to go back!“

“We had a Mothers Day celebration Sunday at this fabulous seafood restaurant. There were 15 of us- 9 adults and six children between 5 and 12. We traveled an hour to get there. The food was delicious- fresh, tasty and the portions were so large that everyone took a doggy bag home. It was served by a great staff including Angel who was our server. The owner, Donna, was very cordial and friendly. Everyone had a great time. We can't wait for our next family dinner to return. This is a must restaurant if you are a seafood lover!!“

“Updated (original review from June 2024 below the update):

This trip (our third) was much better than the previous two. It looks like the full menu is available now even during lunch hours. The hot lobster roll remains the only one on the menu, but it is good. Oyster raw bar was good. Burger was good, cooked to the preferred temp. Still no fruit in the sangria (ordered the special pumpkin sangria) but there was ice! No live music (late season in October), but they had music playing at a reasonable level.

We'd continue to come back.

Original Review (1 Star service, 1 star atmosphere (due to music), 2 star food):
DJ brunch I guess. Music was looouuud and a crappy selection, but when we got there, seemed like the crowd was two decades older.

Anyway, before heading there I called to make sure of two things:

1. They still had transient slips as we were coming by boat
2. They had a cold Maine lobster roll as my wife had been craving one for weeks.

The answer to both was yes.

We tie up and get seated, about 1:40pm. Probably close to 10 minutes before anyone comes over to take drink orders. 2:13pm, still no drinks but Amanda comes to take our food orders, which we put in for baked clams and two lobster rolls. She asks if it's OK to put it in at the same time because it might all come out at the same time. Really? We said no.

2:24pm drinks arrive.

Sangria looks like red wine, no ice. No fruit. Apparently you have to ask for that. Bloody wasn't very good. Seemed like alcohol plus watered down tomato juice and horse radish.

2:26pm app comes out. Six of the smallest baked clams I've ever seen ($19). So 44 minutes before drinks, 46 minutes for app.

Lobster rolls arrive 15 minutes later. They were hot lobster rolls. What a disappointment.

Amanda never showed up after taking the food orders. She came when we were done with the rolls. Asked for the check, paid and left.

The old Seagull was nothing spectacular, but after this experience, it is missed ...“

“I threw a surprise 60th birthday party here over the weekend and it was wonderful. I am so glad I went with this location for the event. We had an indoor cocktail party, it was awesome. Gorgeous venue with a beautiful view. Kayla, Darlene and Vanessa worked the party and they were the best! Lots of my guests gave me compliments about the staff, on how pleasant and attentive they were. It is stressful to organize an event like this and they really put me at ease and made sure that not only my guests, but also I had a good time.
