“I was so excited to spend my birthday at Leticia's. The food and service were fine, and the atmosphere seemed lively enough, but the night ended in total heartbreak. My husband had specifically arranged for a sweet birthday surprise—a simple dessert and a song—and the hostess completely forgot. Watching the night end in absolute silence without even a mention of my birthday was devastating. It completely ruined what should have been a special moment. Remind the hostess or server several times about anything special you want yo do.“

“SHAKALAKA Bakery in Flushing is one of the more visually polished modern Chinese bakeries in the area and a reliable stop if you’re looking for cakes, pastries, or grab-and-go sweets that feel a bit more updated compared to traditional bakeries nearby.

The mango-based cakes are the most consistent thing here. They’re light, creamy, and built around fresh fruit rather than overly heavy frosting, which makes them easy to finish even after a full meal. The matcha cake also works well, leaning more milky than bitter, with a soft sponge that holds its structure without feeling dry. The pork floss cakes are one of the more interesting savory-sweet options, and they’re better than expected if you’re used to standard bakery versions since they don’t go overboard on sweetness.

The croissants and egg tarts are solid supporting items rather than the main reason to come. The croissants are flaky with a noticeable butter layer, and the egg tarts are best when eaten warm since the custard tightens up when cold. The purple rice desserts are heavier but work if you want something more filling and texturally different from the fruit cakes.

Service is generally efficient even when the bakery is busy, and the layout is set up for quick selection rather than lingering. “Dropped in on a whim since parking was available out front. Manager said under new operations and building a new tapas style menu. Food was delicious, steak slightly overcooked but not inedible. Service was good and attentive. Late dinner on weekday, place was empty with only a few of what appeared like friends of staff hanging out at bar. Will not hesitate to visit again and see their progress, seems like they are making the attempt to have a nice resteraunt.“

“Kyle and mario were very courteous as was everyone else who worked there, but they stood out for going above and beyond. The mac and cheese i first ordered seemed to lack macaroni and was mostly sauce. I half mentioned it and they right away replaced it with another mac and cheese.“

Tried the special mozzarella in carrozza with anchiove and it was very good. Portions are plentiful and it's a high quality pasta. Highly recommend!“

“I’m literally writing this while I’m still sitting here because these guys deserve a shout-out. I’ve been to a bunch of Dave’s Hot Chicken spots, and this is easily the best one.

I was having a nightmare with the app, and Mohammed took the lead helping me figure the whole thing out. He was patient, never rushed me, and made sure everything was taken care of. Ahnaf was very helpful too, and both of them were friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience.

The whole staff has been awesome. If you’re trying to decide which Dave’s Hot Chicken to go to, make it the 188th Street location in Queens. I’ll definitely be back.“

“The food was so delicious! I’m so thankful because I was having a terrible day and really needed something fresh.

The spanakopita slice was huge and came with lemon potatoes! The filling for the spanakopita was stuffed and the pastry was so flaky. I was actually contemplating ordering a side of the lemon potatoes but decided not to, so I was so happy to see them included with the spanakopita. The potato’s were sooo flavorful. The tzatziki had plenty of fresh cucumber and tasted amazing! I also got the lamb gyro, which is only $11 on Uber Eats… definitely a fair price. It was flavorful and packed with veggies and lamb. I thought the portions were perfect, and everything tasted great. I even have enough left over for another meal later. I will say the food was a little on the salty side, but I love sodium lol. Thank you guys for making me such a delicious meal!“

“I’m a photographer and absolutely love visiting Youngs Farm to photograph the beautiful flowers on their property. The grounds are always so well maintained, making it such a lovely place to visit and photograph.
Their store is wonderful and has such a great variety of goodies. The prices are a little on the expensive side, but the quality of the products more than makes up for it. Their soups and breads are delicious, and their buttercup cupcakes are absolutely amazing!
I always enjoy shopping there whenever I visit. To top it all off, everyone is so kind, welcoming, and friendly. Youngs Farm is truly one of my favorite places to visit, and I highly recommend it!“

“A buddy at work told me about this little beauty on the corner of 97th & 23rd Ave in East Elmhurst so I said I'd give it a try & it did not disappoint. It's a nice clean & bright restaurant with some tables & chairs outside & inside with two countertops & seating for 8 people on high stools & a small table & 2 chairs, nice AC blowing cool air. The server was very nice and they had the World Cup on TV & music playing down low. I ordered the double Burger Queen w/ truffle fries & a can of coke zero. The burger was moist tasteful sauces delicious & fried onions give it that extra taste. I saw some comments about burger & fries too salty (THEY WEREN'T) The truffle fries again were absolutely delicious so once I was done I went and ordered another double Burger Queen. This will be my go to for a delicious tasting burger & fries. I will try the triple with a fried egg next time. Listen, it's worth the visit. G'WAN YA WON'T BE SORRY 😉“

“We don’t even know how many times we’ve been here 😂 It’s definitely one of our go-to matcha spots in Flushing! We always get the matcha latte because it’s consistently so good and we never get tired of it. 🍵🤍

We also tried the mango sticky rice drink and the jasmine matcha latte, and both were sooo good! The mango sticky rice drink is such a fun and unique combination, while the jasmine matcha latte has such a nice floral flavor.

Definitely recommend trying them if you’re here! Everything is super refreshing and worth it. We’ll definitely keep coming back! 💚“

“The food was great and the staff was very patient, considering the fact that one of the individuals on my table was very loud and we sat for quite a while after finishing our meal. I did see them checking on us and I know the moved a patron away from us, but they never made us feel uncomfortable and for that I am grateful - I know my guest was a louder than usual friend. Thank you for being patient and accommodating. Food portions are big and delicious and their pancakes are really goo. I should've ordered more because everyone wanted my pancakes 🥞. “Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“
