50 Best Cafes near Locust Valley

“We came across this little gem (that has been around for 13 years!) just today and this place single handedly just convinced us that we should move to this exact neighborhood haha!
We got two sandwiches, a pulled pork panini (basically a Cuban, yum!) and a chorizo with machego cheese and pear. They were both so delicious and I’ll be thinking about it for the next foreseeable days. Each sandwich order comes with chips but they’re not just any chips.. they’re TORRES chips! If you were to purchase these chips outside at the market, that itself is already $6 and the sandwiches are about $12-$16.. the value of this meal is HIGH! They use great quality cured meats and cheeses too.. I think we’re so used to being scammed in the city with the pricing we almost had a whiplash when they told us our total. LOL.
They also offer iced teas from any of the tea selections they have- very casually offering Harney & Sons.. I have no idea how she made the iced teas in less than two minutes but she did and it was perfect.
It seems like their specialty is charcuterie boards but they also offer frozen pasta and pints of icecream (they also serve icecream too, must go back for that), frozen food that’s ready to heat up and eat, unique jams, local pie and chocolates/ sweets.
This small business is family owned and operated- I believe the wonderful lady who helped us today was the owner and she was so sweet and welcoming.
We’re so excited to come back and try their other sandwiches and possibly order a charcuterie board for our next special occasion!“

“In a quest to find “REAL “ whitefish salad, I followed a friend’s suggestion and tried Cafe 17A. Amazing! This past weekend I tried several other salads- Vegetable Tuna, Chicken Salad, Egg whites and spinach, Egg salad and mushrooms and of course sliced Nova and home made cream cheeses. My guests raved! “Hands down the best restaurant in Westchester! This is a run, don’t walk, recommendation. From the moment you enter Cafe Deux, you’re transformed to another era. The owners, Carrie and Charlotte Denoyer, greet each customer with warmth as they accommodate every request—from seating, to craft cocktails, to gf/df/v options. With a chef who clearly “gets it”, each course feels so very special—as if prepared just for you! I’ve been visiting Cafe Deux since they’ve opened so picking my favorite dishes is near impossible, but…Breakfast-crustless farmers market quiche; Lunch- salad tuna nicoise; Dinner—mussels, the Deux wagyu burger, any fish special, and of course the fries, which take 48hrs to prepare). This place is perfection! Harrison sure is lucky to have them!“

“I can not say enough positive things about this place. The girl was so friendly and helpful. I originally went to pickup a togoodtogo order and ended up placing a second order because everything just looked so good. Everything I got in the togoodtogo order was amazing and it was a nice variety it had a bag of goldfish as an extra treat which my kids enjoyed. There was even a handwritten note thanking me for my order which was so sweet and I felt appreciated. The bubble teas were fresh and flavorful and a great value for the price. I can't wait to go back to try more.“

“Found this little gem through Google as we took my mother in law to the hospital for her surgery. The place didn’t disappoint, we had French toast, avocado toast, and eggs with bacon and sausage. Everything was amazing and the owner who was also our server was super sweet and funny!! I would recommend this place to everyone !!“

“Honestly parking here is HORRIBLE because it’s located in a shopping center with a few other businesses/ restaurants so I would say best to park outside the lot. I ended up parking 2 blocks away which was far for this area. The cafe is small and can easily be missed. They’re a lot of seating and wasn’t busy so service was quick. They’re blueberry matcha was a special and when I received it I didn’t think I would like it as much since I’m not a fan of anything with pulp and the blueberry had pulp bits but you can tell it’s super fresh. After my first sip I can’t wait to go back for more because it was THAT good. Probably the best blueberry matcha I’ve ever had. I love places like this - little hole in the wall spots that just slap! Would recommend but it is far from me so I would have to make the 25 min drive (without traffic) just for this cafe. Wish the matcha was a little stronger so I would probably do double matcha next time but it did work well with the recipe for the drink. Would highly recommend giving this a try. I saw they have strawberry matcha too so maybe I’ll get both next time“

“The Polo Lounge is such a great place! We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and another couple was celebrating their 50th anniversary! The food was delicious! The portions are appropriate so you're not totally full before your main course even comes. The atmosphere is a fun. There's a lounge singer and couples dancing. It was lovely to watch and we were sitting in our booth. There was a wedding going on, but it did not bother the restaurant at all. We will be back every year for our anniversary after bring married at Westbury Manor. The staff, the food, and the atmosphere will keep us coming back!“

“What an incredible place! I was in a pinch as I was planning on visiting my family for a few weeks in New York. My dates kept changing and the team went above and beyond to accommodate me and my evolving schedule. My daughter LOVED going to the camp. “From the time you walk in and get greeted by Leonard, to the outstanding service given by Anthony, and the welcoming environment given by two other gentleman (I wish I knew their names, but one wears cool glasses and a gentleman with dreads) the experience is beyond five stars. “My first time here but have been following them for years. OMG, the real deal! I was in a rush so ordered two sandwiches and three pies for a pick-up, but saw that tire was stocked with authentic Italian products so want to come back and shop!“

“Love this place! This is my go-to spot for lunch with friends and family. I highly recommend the grilled peach ricotta toast, the hot honey chicken sandwich, the everything pigs in a blanket, the crispy brussels sprouts and any of the smoothies. YUM!

At one point, one in our party wanted coffee, so we decided to look around for a place for coffee, and found Cafe Nico's. The cappuccino was delicious, and I also had a flaky pastry filled with a vanilla custard sauce. Since the cafe is Italian, I cannot refer to it as a croissant. This is one of the few places that is cash only. I look forward to returning, the first chance I can.“

We got the ube coconut latte and polar express (maple) drink. The chicken and turkey sausage was actually halal.
