“Incredible tasty churasco, incredible service, great atmosphere. Music was great and not overbearing. Everyone was so friendly and the owner came out to talk to us and was so nice. Came out from the Bronx to visit this spot. Will definitely be back!“

“First review of 2024, and we could not think of a better restaurant to review! @buleriataberna has officially become one of our favorites. Every single bite bursts with flavor! • 🥝 Kiwi Mojito 🍲 Calldo Gallego 🐑 Lamb Skewers 🦞 Tres Colas 🦐 Empanadas 🥩 Angus Beef Croquettes 🥩 Churrasco Bravo • I wish we had room for more because every single item was great and the deserts looked amazing, we just physically could not eat anymore! 😂 The vibes were great. Service spectacular! Food amazing. We can’t wait to go back for happy hour and the night life, will do another review of course 😉 - We did get a small dessert which was the Sherry Port. Think Sherry from Spain meets Port from Portugal! Do I need to say more?! 🤤“

“Went there as I was catching a show across the street. Nice small place with cozy atmosphere. There was seating inside and outdoors. My wife and I started off with a chicken and beef empanada. The filling was delicious and the outside was flaky and light. Delicious empanadas. For our main course my wife had the Cubano and I had the Classic 55 Burger. My wife got sweet potato fries with hers and I got regular seasoned fries. The Cubano was a nice size portion. My wife really enjoyed it And enjoyed the sweet potato fries. The burger I had was absolutely delicious and the french fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The price was definitely reasonable for what we ate. And I did not leave hungry. It was just enough. Definitely a place worth stopping at again and having a couple drinks and some nice food. Also, our server was great. Nice to talk to and very attentive.“

“I don’t have enough words to express how amazing the staff is and how excellent the food is. The attentiveness is marvelous. After coming from a bad experience elsewhere, this restaurant and their staff never fail. I’ve been here many times and haven’t had a single bad experience.
The only reason for a 4-star atmosphere rating is that the takeout area is combined with the main seating area, which takes away slightly from the elevated experience they are trying to create. Otherwise, flawless!“

“I was surprised by this place. For a simple looking restaurant, the food is exceptional. Skirt steak mondaditas are incredible. We had ribs, shrimp, lobster tail and pork chops, all of whi h were delicious. Even the mash potatoes were flavorful. This place is definitely a must try.“

“Good ecuadorian food. Nice atmosphere. The place can use more wait staff .There is no parking anywhere in the vicinity that presents an issue if you have a large party. The menu is flexible for all people. Do not expect the food right away.“

“The food here was great❕️Authentic Puerto Rican🇵🇷 style Lechon with arroz con gandules. I like how the place is outside & inside, it felt like i was back on the island in PR.🇵🇷 It's in the cut, but it's a chill small place with good reggaeton music being played. I recommend. 🏙🔊🎶🏝🇵🇷 🐷🍗🥩🍛🍚🍴🥤🐸👍🏽“

“Comida rica!!! Que Linda gente!
Walked by and had to enter!
People were very nice, warm and welcoming. Since we were just passing by we ordered to go….
We tried the smoothies 6 & 7 wow… really refreshing and yummy for the summer.
Food is delicious.
Paid $40 for two dishes and 2 smoothies.
I think it was a great deal.
As I waited I grew “HUNGRY” for all the bites and fried pastelitos they were taking out…so I feel for the PALITOS
De queso… they also gifted me one to try with the sauces…
And excellent experience. If I lived closer I will come often!
* atmosphere to eat isn’t great but… if the staff is around you might enjoy seating and chatting“

“So come here for the first time is strictly amazing. I wanted to make sure that everyone knows this. I always pass this location when I come out of work, but I wanted to check it out to see what they have at some of the photos here that you guys can see and the person register is simply amazing. Great service and highly recommend !!!!“
“I absolutely love this place!! Nancy goes out of her way to make sure you're comfortable and that you're eating exactly what you want. The food here is like the kind that your mother cooks, it doesn't feel nothing like a restaurant and that's what keeps me coming here over and over again. Aside from how good the food tastes here, what differentiates "La Vecina" from the rest is the variety of dishes they have everyday and again how great it tastes.“

“The Parrot Restaurant in Yonkers is one of the best Spanish restaurants in the area. They offer amazing family meals at unbelievable prices. Unlike others, their food is incredibly fresh. For example, even the white rice tastes like it was made the same day. The beans are very well-seasoned, and when you order the bean stew, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find carrots and potatoes—ingredients often overlooked at many Spanish restaurants.
Their empanadas are made to order, meaning they don't sit under a heat lamp; they are freshly prepared when you order them. The freshness and quality of their food are truly unmatched. Additionally, the variety of dishes they offer ensures that there is something for everyone, whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian.
All in all, this is definitely a go-to spot for good quality food at great prices. Last but not least, the staff is wonderful, including the guys who do the deliveries. They are always friendly, prompt, and ensure that your food arrives hot and fresh. I wish them all the best and will definitely make this my regular place for Spanish food at least a few times a month.“

“Exactly what I was looking for. I was working out on the island and just googled a local deli to stop in at on my way home, and I lucked out so much. This place is way better than your standard deli, maybe a dozen hot and delicious steam tray options that all sound delicious, I personally went with the oxtail. Food was so tasty especially with their house made hot sauce, and at a very fair price. The fellas behind the counter were also very kind and good talking to. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.“

“Peeps are gonna get mad.
There is only one truly Spanish - Spanish-owned and Spanish-prepared restaurant in Westchester. Anyone who is Spanish or has lived in Spain knows this.
Tentempie Madrid in Mamaroneck. 🫒
It is strictly a tapas place. Not a tapas bar, because there is no bar seating. They asked me over the phone if they needed to explain what a tapas place is. I answered that I had lived in Spain? Hoping that would satisfy her. I don’t think it did.
If you are craving tortilla, chorizos, aceitunas, gambas al ajillo and croquetas as you would have them for 800 years in Spain, pay them a visit.
There are rules.
Always make a reservation. They will turn you away even if the place looks empty. They have a plan. The place is small and I think it is only the owner up front most of the time. I called at 1pm. They open at 6pm.
The crowd was all non-Spaniards because I don’t think we have too many round these parts and they prob make these dishes at home blind folded. I am Colombian. Having been colonized by Spain made me the most Spanish person in the room besides the owner. 😬
It isn’t a young place to go get your flirt on. There is no vibe. That’s ok because I was there strictly for the tapas, cava and fino.
It is really cute though. There are fun and whimsical details throughout. I cannot believe that I forgot to take a bathroom pic. it was teeny, but adorably appointed.
The only thing that I had NEVER seen in Spain was the sidra served this way (Spanish bitter hard apple cider) served with seltzer, ice and fruit. When I gently inquired about it, he basically gave me a shrug that said… nobody here would drink it straight. He is probably right. I’ll have to travel to Asturias with my dinner companions to share that experience.
We didn’t try the whole menu. I named the dishes that we tried and I feel they nailed.
The prices were nostalgically affordable.
They are not on any “redes sociales” as per the person who took my res. Meaning, NO Instagram or FB for them. This place is like a time capsule from the early 90’s.
You will not feel like you are in Spain. You will definitely feel like you are in Mamaroneck, but if you close your eyes while taking a bite of chorizo and a sip of fino, you might get a waft of cigarettes and hear old men arguing about politics.
(Lastly… those other restaurants that you will argue are Spanish, but aren’t, ARE yummy.)
The gambas al ajillo! Our favorite tapa of the night. 🍤
