Custom Cakes near Merrick, NY

“Their ice cream cakes are great“

“We had the best experience ever with this bakery - the cake was included in our venue pricing through this bakery, and I can definitely see why! Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! We even asked for an extra birthday cupcake for our nephew to have on the day of the wedding, and they made it sooo cute! (wish I could figure out how to add a picture here... It was SO pretty!!!)“

Her pastries are not only beautiful but absolutely delicious—this time I ordered cakes, tarts, and cake pops. She copied my inspiration cake to perfection! I will definitely be recommending her again and again.“

Not only were the cakes absolutely delicious, but the designs were so beautiful. Ashley was wonderful to work with, and the quality and attention to detail were exceptional. I'll definitely be using Vin's Bake House again for future events and highly recommend them to anyone looking for custom cakes!“

“The best Carvel in the area ! What makes it the best is that they definitely have the friendliest staff. And they keep the place super clean. I take my daughter there at least once a week after her gymnastics class and on more than one occasion have been shown appreciation for our loyalty.“

“I ordered a specialty cake for my mother and it was FABULOUS! The cake was unique, 2 - tier choc and vanilla with a hazelnut cream filling. It was covered in a lovely lavender frosting with lace flowers and unique lettering. It was fresh and special!“

“The Bellmore Carvel is very special. The amount of love and care put into my son's birthday cake exceeded my expectations. Amanda is so talented and you can tell she is passionate about designing cakes. She even called me personally to ask if she could alter the cake a bit from the image I provided. It came out a million times better than the image! Thank you, I will only be ordering from you guys in the future!“

“Brian designed our dream cake for our October Friday the 13th wedding. We went in with some ideas, bits and pieces from multiple photos and what was created blew our minds. Everyone was speechless when it came out. Aside from the delicious taste of the cake itself the details and time that was poured into it is one that we truly appreciate and love. We been to the shop multiple times before the wedding just to grab some goodies because everything is tasty and above the typical/traditional desserts you’d expect. Highly recommended bakery for sure.“

“Great Kids Party… Highly recommend for children,“

“Small neighborhood bakery open late to satisfy sweet cravings. The desserts are not overly sweet. They offer cupcakes, cakes, brownies, cookies, sundae cups, mini cheesecakes, and ice cream. I usually get their Belgian chocolate cake, malt brownie, red velvet sundae cup, biscoff mini cheesecake, and assortment of cupcakes (pistachio, raffaello, strawberry, and chocolate varieties). Customer service is always great.“

“Some of the kindest, most understanding people work here.

It's a Coldstone Creamery, you know what you're getting into.

But the staff is exceptional, we'd been here more than a few times and always had great ice-cream. My keys stopped working and me and my fiancé were locked out of our car late at night in sub 20 below weather. The manager attempted to help us open the car, gave us shelter, and was so kind and supportive. They moved a bench inside for us, checked in and offered so much. They took care of us in more ways than not after an already long and hard day.

Outside of being a good place to get ice cream, I think any locals should support these people as much as possible.“

“John at Polito’s Bakery in Williston Park made my daughter’s wedding cake, and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious! The cake was moist, the frosting was amazing, and the fresh strawberry filling was the perfect touch. Everyone loved it and couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful it tasted. John did an incredible job and helped make the celebration even more special. We highly recommend Polito’s Bakery!“

“Uhhhh, it’s carvel, of course it’s amazing in every way!!! Love it there, yummy and the staff is great. The owner is such a nice person... we love him.“

“As a first timer going into this carvel. I was so impressed. The owner is the nicest guy!! He helped me out with everything. I was also in a rush and he managed to fulfill my order within 2 minutes. I highly recommend this place! It’s such a difference when you go into a store and you either get looked at nasty or the worker is just rude. But this wasn’t the case, they were super helpful. People need to have more love and passion while working. Instead of having hate & being miserable. It goes a long way! Thank you carvel (:“

“This is my go to spot. The staff here is really friendly, service is really fast. I usually hang out here for a bit. I just really wish that there was a TV to watch sports. I love the area and the vibe here, it’s just missing some entertainment. Hopefully this place could get a TV soon.“

“I was very pleased because I was so confused about what ice cream cake to buy for my daughter’s birthday and Willie was not only friendly and patient, but she helped me make an overwhelming decision for my order. My daughter is very particular (32 years old today) and she loves chocolatey stuff, but not chocolate ice cream. So, there were so many to choose from and I know she loves the cake batter ice cream as well. After about 15 minutes I took of Wille’s, I commend her on her patience and knowledge! She turned a nightmare into a dream! Give this girl a raise!“

“I always have came to this cold stone, I never felt sparked to write an review until yesterday. It was a nice Friday busy night as expected for an ice cream place so granted the line was long. There were three people working in the front and they were all so pleasant, the girl who helped served me looked new because she asked questions to the others. They jumped up to help her, it was nice to see an environment where kids look happy to work. The young lady who was new served me. She was very nice kept a smile on her face, and added things no problem upon request. This place has upped their customer service. Love it.“
