“It was a little late so I called to make sure they were still open. A lady had answered and I asked if they were still open and taking orders she said yes we are open til 11pm she was so pleasant. I placed my order for pick up she told me 15mins it would be ready. The place was very clean. They were friendly upon entering. The food was very good. I would definitely recommend them.“

“My favorite Chinese food spot when im in town. I've been coming here for years! The price has gone up a little but hey what hasn't gone up? Chinese food is still the cheapest and my go to. I usually order pork lo mein, chicken broccoli and egg drop soup. The ribs are also really good. I love love love that they added boba tea super convinent and yummy. Boba is soft and fresh and I don't need to go out of my way to get boba now.

People have complained about long wait but you can't expect good food and fast. I've always call ahead to place order never had any issues. And they have online ordering options now!?“

I've been to many restaurants in Flushing and Manhattan and I gotta say that Spice Workshops food is even better than some of those restaurants. The flavor is very authentic to what szechuan food is suppose to be. My recommendation for ordering:

- Shredded pig feet with peppers
- Cabbage
- Sweet and sour fried crispy pork
- Hunan beef with green peppers

“Ordered from here twice and you know what, it wasnt bad at all. My family ordered the chicken n broccoli and the chicken and snowpeas large. They were both delicious. The pork fried rice is just okay it would be great it they had bigger chunks of pork in the rice. I suggest getting the regular large quarts of food rather than the combination platter because it has less food in it. Also the soup could have a better brothy taste to it. I would recommend this spot. I was also so glad that they deliver to my area. I placed the order over the phone which was pleasant and easy to understand the person on the other side. However, when I called them within 10 minutes, they had another order ready and dropped off to me. “I grew up going there. I always liked it. I would get the chicken and broccoli with white sauce, white rice. I would get wonton soup and shrimp roll. It's been there over 30 years. I don't know if it's new owners, have not ate there in awhile. I think it's been a few years. I have to back and try again. It's a take place, but they have a few tables. I called I wanted delivery which they don't do. I understand the roads are crazy, safety, they are busy cooking. They have I think GrubHub but I don't have any if those delivery apps. Anyway delivery can get expensive fuel charge, etc. Some places don't charge delivery fees, but your still tipping. Anyway they have good lunch specials. If they have cheese wontons I would try. I would hope they would be bid and filled with alot of cheese. Enjoy.“

The owners and staff are very friendly, and service is quick, even if you decide to order at the place and take out. They have lots of restaurant supplies in big cardboard boxes in eating area, which may steer most from sitting in to eat. Maybe if they have a partition between dusty boxes with supplies and the tables laid out close to them. Back to food, eggdrop soup was good. We always order different things to get an overall feel for the food. Wonton Egg Drop Soup is decent. Fried Dumplings are excellent. Chicken on a stick was nicely seasoned and very good. Tonight we ordered the Great Wall Special. It was great. The chicken and beef were tender. Nice sized shrimp were delicious. The roast pork was a little chewy and tough. “We recently had dinner at the Cantonese Kitchen and were pleasantly surprised by how tasty everything was. We ordered the Sesame Chicken and General Tso’s Chicken, both were flavorful, well prepared, and served hot. The portions were generous and hit the spot.
The customer service was also solid. The staff was polite, and patient, he made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing.
Now, with that being said, the restaurant itself could really use a facelift. The atmosphere feels dated, and a few upgrades to the decor would go a long way in matching the quality of the food and service.
