“My girlfriends and I was just at Moderne Barn last night. It was my first time eating here. I have to say the overall environment was very friendly, welcoming, beautiful. By the way I love the chandeliers. We sat upstairs - very nice area. Plenty of people eating here. The food and drinks I may add is very delicious. I had salmon and white wine and sangria. Have to say no complaints. The staff very very nice and friendly. Highly highly recommend. Thank you Moderne Barn for a lovely ladies night out!“

“Wanted to give a shout out to the restaurant, Freddy’s, in Pleasantville. Went with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago and then again with my hubby last week. Both meals were delicious. The appetizers are yummy! Most of all, though, I wanted to remark on the atmosphere. The people in charge are just delightful. Had a chance to meet the owner. He told me he named the restaurant after his grandfather ( forgive, it might have been his father). Either way I thought it was nice. He has a young family and loves what he does. They have been open for two years, but I just found them now. If you haven’t checked them out, you should soon!“

“I was at Traditions last night for Disco Night. It was my first time and I had an absolute amazing time. From the atmosphere, DJ, people, bar statf, drinks etc. I will be coming again to first Friday of the month. Thank you for allowing me to have a memorable time.“

“Went to the restaurant for the first time since it was refurbished. Very nice!! Made dinner reservations for two and were seated promptly. Our server, Sandra, was exceptional. Our drink order was taken in a timely fashion. Both cocktails were delicious. We ordered the Ricotta Gnodi for our appetizer and it was very tasty. For the main course we each ordered the Ora King Salmon. I thought mine was slightly undercooked. As a side, we shared the truffle fries...hefty portion and were crisp and tasty. For desert we shared the Affogato. It was creamy and refreshing. All in all, a great night out. A little pricey, but based on the service, menu variety, and the food quality, we will definitely be back.“

Everything we ordered was great, but our bartender, Neschmy, definitely elevated our experience. “The Tapp is the quintessential local bar. The staff are very friendly, the burgers are phenomenal (as is everything else on the menu), and the prices are more than reasonable. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“

“My family and I went to Truck for the second time with some of our relatives, and we loved it just as much as the first visit. The food was amazing, so filling but still so delicious! I ordered three tacos: fish, pork, and chicken. Even though I was full after the first one, they were so good that I couldn’t stop and ended up finishing all three! Therefore, I’d recommend not ordering too much at once. For dessert, we pretty much shared everything on the menu, and I loved every single one! There was even a chocolate dessert—which I usually don’t like—and I ended up loving it too. The service was excellent; our waitress was super friendly, greeted us warmly, and kept checking in to make sure we were enjoying everything! The atmosphere made it all even better: casual, lively, and perfect for a fun family dinner.“

“Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert. Outstanding experience with excellent, friendly service“
