“Stay Away!!! Just kidding, this spot is popular and rightfully so for all the right reasons. The atmosphere is bot chill and warm for lounge lizards wanting a great watering hole. The drinks are fantastic, The Monk Fashioned being my favorite, reminds me of a magical Sazerac. The food here is delicious too, been a couple times and look forward to returning again soon. Love the Sweet And Salty Grilly with Gruyère, Prosciutto, Fig Spread, Arugula on Sour Dough. The Fonduey Mac & Cheese is also a cooze fest of cheesy goodness, also the Whipped Feta with the Everything Bagel Pretzel. Always love to get the Crab Cakes. Though I’m eyeing the Skewered Thighs for next time they look like a divine dine. Fortunately we’ve gotten in without a reservation, though I’m sure it’s good to have one.“

“04/24/25
Drinks are amazing, atmosphere is great. A last word from last word is always good, had the El Nido this time and the jalapeño is fire, Pistachio Espresso Martini also hits on the complete other end of the spectrum. We’ve had the oysters in the past as well and they slap.“

“This place is super cute and the drinks are very good!! Went with my sister for a trifecta kinda day and the margs did not disappoint! We didn’t have the food but the people around us ordered some items and it looked and smelled super great!
The place is pretty small as far as like it’s just the front area but they have a bar style table in the middle and tables on both sides. Music was pretty standard we didn’t go on a brunch day so not sure if it’s more turnt but we had a good time! Yes they have Tajin and they can put that on your rim!
We also went back a second time and go to go drinks and they were delicious there’s like over 15 flavors so that makes it super fun!
I didn’t get much videos but I did get a super cool photo! Try it out affordable prices and great drinks!“

“What a nice cozy place. We sat at the bar. It was great. Our bartender was so Attentive, btw. We had the same name. Jane was super friendly. We mostly got appetizers, they got a lot of selection. We got shishito pepper, pumpkin tempura, crispy squid legs, spicy wings, crispy rice spicy tuna and chicken teriyaki. They were so good. We loved everything we got. We will come back for ramen for sure.
Vegetarian options: I saw one Vegetarian ramen. And couple appetizers and Salad“

“I was visiting family and we came to this restaurant, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The overall atmosphere was comfortable yet classy. Our food was prepared and displayed perfectly and the portion sizes were just right. The owner even came over and talked to us to make sure that we were happy and that we were enjoying ourselves. Definitely would come back, I highly recommend Porta 23.“

“Gluten sensitivity.
Always a good meal and local date spot with my wife. It's a not that large a space with low lighting for an intimate vibe. Service is reasonably good but in the summer their patio is open which spreads around the servers and slows down the responsiveness for my experience.
Gluten free pizza now uses cauliflower crust which isn't as good as the normal pizza. The sauce and toppings are always top notch but not enough to make me get gluten free pizza from here. The crust tastes fine and is moist, but it has an unusual thickness that will deter me from get a gluten free pizza from here again.
That aside the drinks are amazing I love the names and presentations. Salads and apps are so good too. I really like this place.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free is available
Kid-friendliness: I would not appreciate noisey kids being there as a customer but sure bring them“

“If you’re looking to host an event on the Upper East Side, this is the place! I’ve hosted 5 separate events with Sojourn Social and this restaurant did not disappoint. Shawn (the manager) was extremely helpful in planning, accommodating our parties needs, and being present to make sure everything ran smoothly. The food and drinks were excellent, the service was great, and the private space was very intimate. Cannot recommend this place enough!“

“Went there on a Friday night. It took a little while for us to be seated. But once we got seated, our waiter was very attentive and courteous. The food was great and so were the drinks. We had lobster spaghetti and shrimp & crab ravioli. For the drink, i had the gold digger cocktail. It's a lychee martini, ifykyk. The DJ was a vibe. They played afrobeat, R&B/hip-hop, reggae, and Spanish music. It's very loud in there, not a place for convo, but more for turning up. Definitely will be coming back.“

“The Paninis here are out of this world. I also enjoy the Italian cookies as doing my children. I have been coming to the east side for many years as it’s near the hospital for appointments. They also make the best cappuccino in the city. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I could not say more good things about this place!❤️“

“Went in for a quick drink to meet a friend. Really nice cozy vibe. The cocktails looked good. One of the owners was behind the bar and was super nice. His name was Francis.
Had the AZTEC GOLD
Mezcal, Yellow Chartreause
Yellow Bell Pepper Juice, Lime
Cane Syrup, Smoked Puya
Peppers.
Nice smooth drink. They burn the pepper on top with a touch which enhances the flavor profile.
Definitely want to go back here. It's my kinda of cozy bar.
The food on other people's plates looked good, so I definitely want to try it.“

“Such a cute place. Old school speakeasy vibes. Food was great. The staff were all super accommodating & friendly (we were there halloween weekend & they were all dressed up). We got there around 3pm & they don't officially open for dinner until 4pm but they allowed us to sit & have a drink while we waited for the kitchen to open. I would definitely go back.“

“Absolutely love this place. I just wish they did last call half an hour later. As an industry person I just want one or two drinks before it’s time to go home! Their staff is incredibly attentive and it’s clear the owners are always present and have a great attention to detail at their place. Thank you for being such an amazing spot that

“Nice restaurant, friendly employees. Brunch hours were from 12-5 pm. I didn’t want brunch food bc I heard from others that it was just OK. I ordered the tiny special roll and was informed couldn’t get it until 5 pm due to the brunch menu times. The waitress took our order around 4:20 pm. Then she came back later to take it again-not sure why. The sushi roll was good. I also enjoyed an expressing martini. My friend ordered chicken wings , they were super super tiny. She didn’t complain about the taste though. Only street parking available. Gratuity included for a table for 2.“

“I went to SCRV today for the first time after like a year of wanting to go. This is a fire place in the neighborhood that I probably won't go back to because of the people that goes. Dudes be standing on the wall instead of dancing...that's to say, the ratio is pretty good.. A downside (like the first sentence wasn't one) is it closes at 1 AM at least on Fridays. Furthermore...some of the the women are scheming, trying to sell you on the next spot (spoiler: $100 bottles that really cost 30-40 max which would be fine but... They also charge cover-they don't tell you that part.) Additionally, they'll surely call you broke if you opt out of being swindled.
TLDR: Go to SGRV but not wherever else anyone tell you to go. My honest opinion.“
