“I finally came here after years of hearing about this place and trying many different options from places in New Rochelle all the way to Nyack. Although the atmosphere is minimal the food is delicious and plentiful. I felt as if I was picking up plates of soul food from my church ladies with the gospel music playing which I did not mind.

I ordered three dinners we tried the fried chicken, collards, yams and one order of mac and cheese that was a mistake we should have gotten more and order of peach cobbler. As my daughter described it she felt like eating this food was like getting a hug from a grandma! None of the food is overly seasoned which my husband and I prefer but seems to be the common mistake a lot of soul food locations are making.

There is a detour near the location which makes parking a little bit of a challenge however, that will not stop me from returning.“

“Was in Harlem and wanted some good food, this place popped up. We called before going, and was told that there was not a wait. Arrived just 5 minutes later and that was not the case. The host was pleasant, offered us cornbread and water while we waited. Our server was lack luster, she was so busy being busy she completely missed the mark at every opportunity. I ordered the cheese quesadillas, and they were simple but absolutely delicious - crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor. My husband had the steak fajitas, which were cooked perfectly and served sizzling hot. We also had a draft Pacifico, and it was fresh, ice cold, and the perfect pairing with the food.

“I love this place. I consistently get the fried whiting, herb fries, greens, and cornbread, and it is all delicious. I especially like that they actual make their fries when so many just use frozen things. Fish is always perfect. Cornbread is like cake. A go-to for ordering!“
