“AWESOME KOREAN RESTAURANT IN LONG ISLAND: I’m not a foodie and I don’t think I’ve ever posted about restaurants (but I am Korean) - I have to make an exception for this place. Yes, this restaurant is on Long Island, but the Korean food EXCELLENT (better than lots of places in Flushing) and service is OUTSTANDING. Every dish we’ve tried so far (짜장면, 순두부찌개, 육개장, 제육덮밥) has been so amazing, delicious, and authentic (especially the spices!!!). If you’re ever in the area, please stop in and eat here. It’s crazy awesome! Thanks to my friend for encouraging me to try at a Korean restaurant that is not in Queens. My family will be forever grateful - five stars and 2 thumbs way up from me and my family members. :)“

My friend and i stumbled in when we realized the hot pot place next door that we had originally intended on going to was all you can eat and we were about to go on a 5 hour drive so we most CeRtainly could not eat all that we wanted. In distress and disarray we wandered down the street in search of a quick and delicious meal. And man, oh, man - Gahwa fulfilled our wants, needs, and fantasies.
